So...what is the deal with Ohana's for dinner? Is it all family-style or can you order off the menu? What is on the kids menu?

Is it true that they have games for kids during dinner?

We're looking for something fun, but no characters.

Thanks!

We went to OHana's in October. We LOVED it! Go hungry, they serve all you can eat, family style. This means every course comes on platters to share. You start off with wonton crisps and dip and salad. Then you get bbq chicken wings and shrimp. Next up, the most amazing potatoes and mixed vegetables! Then they bring out skewers of grilled meats-turkey, sausage, beef, and pork. The dessert is the best though, bread pudding with banana foster sauce.

Now I'm hungry!

They had a fantastic lady, doing sing-a-longs. They also did coconut races and another kid game (sorry, don't remember). The kids got lais for participating.

We had 10 people, from 65 to 3 and everyone agreed this was the best meal of our trip.

Enjoy!

We were there last week. They also teach kids the hula, and had them go pick some one they love to dance with (mama, daddy, etc.). It was really cute. There is no menu to order from-you get some of everything. But kids are allowed to order other things-just ask you server. dd8 got mac and cheese. ds10 was given the option by the server, but he likes adult food!

Don't forget the coconut races and the singing. DH and I went in June and are going back next Wed for dinner. We fell in love with the place. It's one of the best meals we've had at Disney and one of DH only requests for a ADR.

We  'Ohana!!! It is DH's favorite and a must do every trip.

Had to add- the alcoholic beverages are really good here, too!!!

'Ohanas is great and we love it. There are sing alongs with kids and learning how to do the Hukilau dance, coconut races, etc . . . they give you tons of food (it's all family style) and you will walk out stuffed for sure. Just be prepared to have all or most of your food all brought to you practically at once instead of waiting until you are done with appetizers and salad. This has happened a lot more frequently recently and it can be kinda chaotic. This last time we went (October) it was kinda ridiculous; there were so many bowls on the table at once that we barely had room for our plates and drinks and we felt kinda rushed. Hopefully our next visit in January won't be like that.

We make it a MUST DO each trip...so much GOOD food and so much FUN!! You do not have to worry about loud children while dining at this restaurant, that is for sure!! :lmao: I always suggest making your ADR avout 1 1/2 hours prior to fireworks at MK...then getting to the podium about 20-30 minutes earlier than your ADR and requesting a window seat...it may take you about 45 minutes to 1 hour to get one but it is worth the wait...you will have a beautiful view of Wishes...they dim the lights and pipe in the music from the park...it is WONDERFUL!! What ever you do HAVE FUN AND EAT MUCH!!

ive been craving Ohana's since our October trip. mmmmm It is a must do now and its a good value as well.

We love 'Ohana as well. Take your time and don't let them rush you. They will if you let them. Just say you're not done yet and don't be afraid to ask for more.popcorn::

We usually do 'Ohana on our first night we arrive. It's a great place to have fun, good food & really get a "Disney" experience. :goodvibes

Another vote for the drinks! They are fantastic!:thumbsup2

Definitely worth a try! I was a little skeptical at first, but this was probably one of the best meals we had. The food was delicious! I especially loved the dessert! :cloud9:

We loved it, my husband loved it so much that he wantd to eat again there. But we could not get another reservation for the whole time we were staying. It will be a must do for our next trip.:thumbsup2
