Any insight? What should I know? We are staying @ Poly for 8 nights at the end of July, Me, DW, DS9, DS3.

It opens at 4:30 pm each day (closes at midnight I think). It's a flat fee of $55 per child (I know they give AP discounts. Probably DVC as well). They have structured and unstructured activities for the kids. Dinner is included and they usually have a character visit. My DS8 loves the kids clubs and usually goes twice per trip.

Hmmm.. I don't remember being a flat fee. We used it twice on our trip in Nov.- I swear we paid an hourly fee- we did get a discount for being annual passholders though. The kids really enjoyed it- they were ages 4 and 6 at the time- children must be potty trained.

They played WII games, had dinner, craft time, and got lots of goodies to take with them. They would easily do it again if we let them.

The absolute funniest thing is when we came to pick them up the first time. Parents are not allowed back there so- as we waited for them to come out- my oldest son popped out from the side in a Belle dress. I couldn't stop laughing and he was so proud of himself- they must have been having a dress up party before we came. Still one of my favorite pictures from the trip.

As of Fall 2015 the pricing went from an hourly rate of $15 per hour, per child to a flat rate of $55
Hours are 4:30 PM - midnight
Children can come or go at any time between the hours.

Also, you do need a reservation, and it's not always bookable day-of.

Thanks! I just looked it up- looks like Beach Club and Poly's were changed to a flat rate but the others are still hourly. We were there Nov. and the change occurred in Dec.

Anyone know of any reason to have reservations (fears as opposed to appointments) about it?

It's not drop-in. Depending on number of kids and staffing, they can turn ydo u away, much like restaurants and ADRs. Realistically, no reservation, you're risking turn away.

I have it written down on my laptop but they have to be there at a certain time to get dinner. I want to say 5, but they can tell you when you make a reservation or I can check when I get to my other computer.

Except for during Christmas week, we always walked in without a reservation. This was in May and August of 2015.

Did anyone's kids not enjoy being there? Our sons are 9 and 3 (3yo is potty trained so no worries there).

We sent out kids to Lilos in January so we could catch an adult dinner later than normal for our family. The kids had so much fun that they were upset when we picked them up at 10:00pm. Our kids are ages 6 and 8. They played dress up, played video games... I think they even baked cookies. There was a visit from Chip and Dale and both kids came home with goodie bags. When we arrived to pick them up they were playing some sort of organized game... Simon Says, maybe.

They really had such a great time and requested another "kids night" at Lilos when we head back to WDW next month. I don't think the cost of $55/ child for the whole evening is unreasonable if you plan on taking advantage of a good chunk of that time (4:30 - MN), considering all they do with the kids.

This sounds great. We are likely going to drop off DS at Lilo's so we can have parents' night out. :woohoo:

My son went when he was 9 with my 7 year old daughter (for free) when they were testing the new Lilo Playhouse concept- my 7 yr old daughter had a blast! My 9 year old sports loving son said it was ok. There were a lot of younger kids there- and had cute activities- slime making with stitch, cookie baking with silly chefs, luau pizza party. He would go back, but wouldn't be very excited about it.

I felt very safe leaving them there, and I rarely leave my kids at sitter places. I would do it again if hubby and I wanted a kid free dinner, and wouldn't think twice about them being well cared for.

I think the price is very reasonable. Don't tell Disney. We pay a sitter $10 per hour to babysit out 4-year-old. We haven't been to Lilo's, but our daughter has been to the Sandcastle Club at the BC twice - once before the flat fee went into effect and once after. She loved it both times. My mom and I are going to Club Villain in May and our youngest will be at Lilo's while we're at DHS. I think she'll have a blast.

How do they handle severe kids allergies at the play groups? My DGS 5 has severe anaphylactic allergies to all forms of dairy, nuts and seeds which eliminates almost all baked goods (oils from seeds), pizza, etc. With children of various ages they could easily drop a bit of something like a bit of cheese off pizza, or handle something like a toy with food residue on their hands. Are the kids in a separate room with the food? Are they carefully washed up after eating? And are toys used washed regularly?

Are attendants trained in first aid? how to deal with anaphylaxis?

I am guessing that this isn't an option for us, but Disney is so often prepared that I thought that i would ask.
