We usually stay onsite at Universal for a few nights during our Orlando trips and have only ever stayed at HRH in a 'pool view' room.

This October we only want to spend one night (for FOTL really:snooty: ;) ) since we've only for 5 nights in Orlando on our quickly October half-term break.

I've got an ok price for garden view rooms for both HRH and RPR - but what does garden view mean, or could we end up with the parking lot:confused3

Whilst I appreciate we're really not spending much time in the room this trip, I still don't fancy looking out over the parking lot, or worse.

Can anyone give me an idea of what we might get before I go ahead and book?

Many thanks:yay:

A garden view can mean a variety of views not facing toward the pool/parks. Strangely enough, a pool view could be classed as a garden view as the first four pool view floors are looking straight at trees:)

A photo of a garden view during one of our stays is located in this thread: http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1235589

There is no "Garden View" room at RPR.

RPR classifies their views as "Standard" or "Water View."

Big difference, IMHO, between "Garden" and "Standard." Standard views can include views of the garden, courtyard, and parks, yes. However, you could also be enjoying views of the roof, convention center, or I4. Similarly, water view doesn't necessarily mean a view of the pool. It could be of the waterway.

Thanks for all your thoughts. I've settled on our usual pool view at HRH:cool1:
