I am staying at the CR. If my ADR is at 7:15, what time do I need to leave the resort? Also, I think I remember reading that this show is indoors & kind of chilly. Does that ring a bell with anyone else? Just trying to decide what to pack to wear. Thanks!

Leave lots of time. It was a pain to get to Trail's End, which was nearby.

If staying at CR, I'd just take the boat to Ft Wilderness, personally. It's a beautiful ride and beats the buses anyday =) When you get off the boat, it's a very short walk to Pioneer Hall.

I would ask the CMs working the boats at CR what time they suggest you leave - I always find them SO helpful in figuring that stuff out.

Yes, HDDR can be cold - I'd bring a jacket just in case!

I'd leave plenty early. You can get checked in and get your pre-show picture taken before the lines are too long. And don't worry about getting in line first. Your seats are pre-assigned so it doesn't matter where you are in line.

If you get to Ft. Wilderness early there's plenty to do if you have some time to kill. There's the Settlement Depot which is kind of general store/gift shop. There's a petting zoo just behind Pioneer Hall (where the HDD is). There's an arcade in the Pioneer Hall complex for the kids. There's Crocketts Tavern you can get a drink and sit in the rocking chairs lining the porch while you wait and people watch for everyone returning from MK.

We're going to the HDD for the 8th time in two weeks and we always get to Ft Wilderness early and always find something to keep us occupied.

The show is indoors but I do not remember being cold while there at all.

When we went in December it was very cold on the boat returning to WL but other than that we were all fine wearing whatever we had worn to the parks that day.

I don't remember it being cold in April. That said, I carried a sweater to ALL restaurants as I find the air conditioning can be cold anywhere, especially when it is hot outside.
I would pack and bring a sweater with you.
We took the boat from the HDDR to the Contemporary. I think it was about a 15 minute ride, once you are on the boat. I too, would leave plenty of time for the trip. And it is nice to look around Fort Wilderness if you arrive early.
Enjoy - We had a great time at the HDDR!
