Tell me about Disney the first week of December

WE are all set to go to Disney Sept 18 with FD, but my hubby just got a job transfer It will be for the best, but we have to transfer during the time we were booked. I think it will be too disruptive for the kids to move and go to disney in September, so now we are looking at the first week of December.

How is the weather then? Will the kids still be able to swim? I know the crowds will not be as good as September, but are they still manageable?

The first week in Dec has become a very popular time to go to WDW. With Thanksgiving falling so late this year, there will be extra guests in the park. The weather can go either way...it can be warm during the day but can get pretty chilly at night!! I have been to WDW at this same time, every year, for the past 10 years. There have been some trips that were cold enough that I never wore a short sleeved tee shirt!!! Always had jeans and a long sleeved shirt on!!
The pools are heated, but you do have to get out of the water at some point!!! And when you do, it can be painful!!!

I love going to WDW at this time of year. The holiday decor is wonderful.

We went in 2011. The parks and resorts are decorated for Christmas. crowds are manageable. It was pretty cold as we drove down to Orlando, but while we were at WDW the temps were around 80 during the day. We had free dining during that week, yay!

The average weather in the first week of December, or for that time of year, is around 75-78 during the day and 55 at night, but lows in the upper 40s aren't all that uncommon, though it's more likely it will be about 75 at day and 55 at night. It's a very nice time of year to go.
