We have been to WDW four times and have never been to Disney Quest or Downtown Disney. Tell me about Disney Quest and what ages do you think will enjoy going. Thanks, We are going in February and would like to visit the Downtown Disney area.

We went to Disney Quest for the first time on our last trip. My kids loved it! I would say that as long as they are old enough to play video games like Play Station 2 or something like that, they would enjoy Disney Quest. I don't think very young children would like it because you have to be able to follow the directions for the games/activities.

Some of the things you can do:

Design a roller coaster by choosing the loops and turns in a computer. Then they put this program that you create into a simulator and you actually 'ride' your roller coaster (so be careful how 'loopy' you make it).

Ride a pirate ship. On this you are in a room with your group (my family of 4 wa on one ship). Someone steers and the rest of us shot at the enemy. That activity was our favorite.

There is a raft ride that you sit in a rubber raft and you have paddles and you paddle through what you see on a screen (they even have water spray out at you for effect).

There was a recording studio where you pick lines for a song and in one part you record part of the song, and then you can (for an extra charge) buy the CD (yes, we bought it :D ).

That have an art studio area where you can make pictures that can be printed out (again, for any extra charge--if you have them print them out).

There is much much more. There are these cars like bumper cars that you ride in and shot at the other cars (a Buzz Lightyear theme). And well, at the moment, those are all the details I can remember. To be honest, I am not a 'video game' person, and I found a comfortable seat in the cafe and DH took the kids around to a lot of it without me.

Anyway, my family could have stayed ALL DAY (my girls are 10 years old--twins).

Here is a website you might want to look at to learn more:

Hope this helps! Have fun!

It's a fun place. When we did our only family WDW trip , back in '99, I think it was one of the favorite things of my two kids, then 19 and 22. My wife, Lady M here on the DIS, and not a big WDW 'advocate', really enjoyed it also. I thought it a fun place too. Certainly a fun place to spend at least a half day.

WE DO QUEST SEVERAL TIMES EACH VISIT. IT IS FUN FOR ME BECAUSE THEY HAVE SOME "ANCIENT" GAMES THAT I GREW UP WITH. YES, WE BOUGHT THE CD AND BOUGHT THE TAPE OF OUR COASTER THAT WE DESIGNED AND RODE. THERE IS PLENTY TO DO FOR ALL.

We liked DQ alot! But we were disapointed in the price for entry. We would have rather gone to Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon for the same price. If you are on a budget and need to choose, I say Water parks.

You have to go to DownTownDisney!!!!!!!!!!! We go at least 7 times! Sometimes we go there to catch buses to places so we can do something fun before.

Disney Quest is great. Our 3 ds are really into video games so its a dream come true for them. I would also consider the cost if it is not included on any ticket you have. Also I would avoid the week ends as alot of locals are there. Also feb. is mid winter break for alot of schools so it could be crowded. Also my teens included can be "game hogs" on games that are not like the race car (line with 1 turn etc.). So if your kids are little it could lead to some frustration. Also it is a multi leveled place and you might really need to supervise your kids if they are little. Seating is sparse except up on the higher floors where the cheesecake factor eatery is.
