On our last trip to WDW (kids first trip) we did crystal palace and HoopDeeDoo Review and loved it. This year it is DD's 8th birthday and we want to do something special. At the recommendation of a friend we snagged reservations at CRT for 4pm. I am going to guess based on our experience at Crystal Palace that it will be a little later. We live on central time so it would be like eating at 3 for us. Either way, on vacation there are no clocks. In the only picture that I can see the people look fairly well dressed. I understand it is a little nicer of a place but given that it is in the center of MK I just cannot see DD going on rides afterwards in a party dress. Is it a really dressy place? We do plan on having a cake for her. In the picture it looks a little more spead out and less 'busy' than CP. Any experiences that anyone can share? TIA.

Party dress not needed :) We had breakfast with Cindy this summer. I wore jean shorts, nicer pull over shirt and sandles, DH wore khaki shorts and polo, and DD9 wore a white shorts and a nicer tank. Lots of little princesses had just returned from BB boutique, others had on their princess outfits. I truely do not recall any
"fancy"or "sunday" dresses. I do remember some sundresses though. Most adults were dressed casual, nicer than t-shirts, but not even "business" casual. Enjoy, I know DD will be in awe!:goodvibes

oops! Forgot to tell you- Make sure they know its a celebration. It was my big birthday - (you know the one that was established in '71);), our waitress presented me with a cupcake and a card signed by all the princesses. DD was so jealous!:cool1:

yes, I will arrange that when we get closer to the date. She has had cinderella costumes but is so tall for her age they have NEVER fit. She does like to dress up so I may allow her to wear one of her sundresses with short underneath. LOL, actually it is me that doesnt want to give up my jeans or shorts :rolleyes1

When we went to CRT and my daughter was (also) 8, she wanted to wear her first communion dress and shoes. I thought it was a bad choice, but she was really set on it, so I packed it (but left the shoes behind!). I did her hair up and let her wear a small tiara as well, but made her wear crocs;). She changed into the dress right before the dinner, and then after we were done, she changed back into regular clothes and I stuffed the dress in my bag. In the end, I was really happy I let her wear it, she looked like a princess!! The rest of us wore normal clothes.
