Tell me about concierge check-in, floors, etc.

I am staying at the Wilderness Lodge in April. Some one tell me about the concierge services, costs, rooms, or anything that would help. I am completely in the dark regarding this subject

Hi Laz. We stayed WL concierge a few years ago. We upgraded at check in and I think it was about $40-$45 extra per day. I can't recall what floor is concierge in the resort, but you use your room key in the elevator to get there. The rooms are the same as any other in the resort. The concierge services include making PS's (especially nice if you are trying to get some difficult ones), there is food out at breakfast, snacks, some appetizers at dinner time and desserts and cordials in the evening. All day long there are snacks and drinks. Your service also includes nightly turn down service.

WL concierge is on the 7th floor.

We stayed at the WL CL in September and weren't terribly impressed. The CM's were absolutely wonderful, but there were no comfortable chairs for us to sit in while at the CM desk attending to business, and no dedicated lounge, just tables and chairs along the balcony, no real comfortable seating area. It just seemed to be an afterthought, and very lacking. I much prefer CL at the AKL, BW, or PR which have well thought out lounge areas.

The rooms were smaller than those at other WDW deluxe resorts (including AKL), luckily we were only there to sleep and shower.
