I know there is a main thread for club level, but I find it a bit overwhelming to find an answer. I just want to know what exactly do you get for Club Level? What's so great about it?

This is a simple question with a complex answer that others will be far more qualified to answer than I am.

I just wanted to share my e-mail exchange (below) with the club level service team at the Grand Floridian from earlier today. They helped fulfill a couple of requests on short notice that would have been absolutely impossible to get on my own. Btw. the times listed are the exact times and dates, during the week of Thanksgiving, that I requested.

---------
Good Afternoon:

Great news! We were able to book your request for dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table on November 22nd at 7:00pm. The reservation number is 463071444xxx.

You will also be able to see this reservation on your My Disney Experience account and on your itinerary.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Have a GRAND afternoon!

Wow, this is fantastic news: I can't believe we got a table at both Be Our Guest and Cinderella's Royal Table!
Thank you so much!

Good Evening Mr. Xxx,

Sounds like your lucky day!

Please let us know if you need anything else.

Have a GRAND night!

You get food and drinks most of the day. For us the big benefit is a quick and easy breakfast waiting for us every morning before we head out to the parks. You can stop in a grab a can of soda to keep in the room fridge or to carry out of the resort with you. Later in the day there is also beer, wine, and some limited other alcohol. As we found out in October it is particularly valuable during a hurricane when other things are closed and non-club level people are having to stand in long lines to buy box sandwich meals- club level was still putting out plenty of food and drinks for those guests.

The staff can make your ADRs for you and arrange receipt of gift baskets or celebration items that you've ordered. If you have concerns, you address it to them instead of the general front desk. Their hours are not 24/7, though. The value of the lounge is in its convenience if you're spending a lot of time at the resort. A, mostly, continental breakfast. Mid-day snacks like candy/cookies, chips, and drinks. Evening appetizers and drinks. Later they offer small desserts and drinks. Juice, water, soda, beer, wine, maybe a signature cocktail are available. Some lounges close at certain times of the day and some (one?) are open from breakfast to dessert. The above are all included in the reservation.

We enjoyed our one CL stay at the Poly in 2012. They made my ADRs for me. It was a treat to ourselves for our anniversary, with 3 young kids. The breakfast really helped streamline the morning for us when we wanted to make it to the park before opening. The view from their lounge is fantastic. We had visions of watching MK's fireworks from there, but the kids never made it that late! We did enjoy having some wine on our balcony while the kids were sleeping. DH could run down there for a couple of glasses while I stayed in the room. We didn't utilize it very often later in the day, as we had a hard time tearing ourselves away from the parks, but it was handy on our pool afternoon. The lounge was open all day for a random beverage run.
We were not greeted, since we were coming from the park after a couple of nights at AOA. I asked someone about it outside and they sent me inside. There was some confusion when I inquired at the front desk about checking into Hawaii and they wanted me to go back outside. Finally they called the greeter in and a flustered man walked us to the building to finish the process.

We drove the second trip and brought breakfast items. I thought it was more relaxed because no one had to be dressed to eat - lol!

Club level is very nice if you're going to spend time at the resort, or take breaks during the day. Nice to have coffee for me while the rest of the crew sleeps in. Afternoon offerings, depending on which resort, are like dinner to me (especially at AKL). They will bring you beer or wine any time of the day; if it's not set out just ask.

The big thing to consider is how much extra it costs. We did club level at AKL in 2012 mainly to do Sunrise Safari. It was convenient for breakfast but don't count on the food the rest of the day being a meal replacement. Generally they don't have better access than you do for ADRs. We didn't take much advantage of it since we were there to enjoy the parks and not spend time at the hotel.

You just have to look and see what's offered and decide if it's worth the extra cost.

I think that the value of CL is subjective, so if you look at just the food you get as the perk, I doubt it will measure up. You can buy a lot of appetizers and wine for the additional cost of a CL stay.

For my family, CL is a total package that we choose if we either need help with planning and securing ADR's during a busy time of year, or when we know we want planty of resort time. WE generally travel as an extended family group so the lounge is like additional space for us, not only when the room seems to be crowded, but as a gathering spot.

We like to know the IPO can book our ADR's and are available for any assistance we may require throughout the trip, and honestly, this is really what you are paying for IMO. The light breakfast is nice, as are the offerings throughout the day, but for my family, they do not take the place of meals. They are just a light snack for us. If I was just thinking in terms of food, no. Not a value. As a total package? For us it can be.

I just want to point out to the OP that your experience isn't necessarily typical. The Itinerary Planning team & the club level Cast Members supposedly have no more ability to get those hard to find ADRs than anyone else. Glad it worked out for you tho! :goodvibes

For us, we enjoy club level because we spend quite a bit of time at the resort and we enjoy having the extra space besides our room to hang out in. With 3 kids, we like having drinks and snacks available most of the day without constantly having to take out our debit card. And usually those snacks are far healthier than what they would get at a store. We do look at it as a bit of pampering, and we don't splurge in our daily lives but we do on vacation. It's nice to be able to grab a glass of wine and for DH to grab a beer in the evening.

We have had great luck with the IPO when we've had them do our bookings, so for us that's another plus.

You will NEVER be able to see a dollar for dollar "value" for what you pay to stay CL, but for us we realize that we are paying for the experience and we are fine with that and find it to be valuable.

We stayed CL at BC a couple years ago. The food and the use of the lounge were the big perks for us. We were a party of 6 and with the discount at the time, only paid about $80 more for CL. With that, we had breakfast every morning, snacks in the afternoon, water bottles to take to the parks, appetizers and desserts in the evenings and alcoholic beverages. We lucked out and also happened to be two doors away from the lounge so we probably used it more than we would have if we were on the opposite end of the building. We hung out in the lounge in the evenings when one adult stayed with the kids. We also used the concierge desk a few times for issues and to change dining reservations. It was a great experience to do once for us. If it was in our budget we would totally do it again, but we had to drop down to a moderate if we want to keep going back.

I agree with the PP that said it's a simple question with a complex answer!

Are you looking at any resort or resorts in particular? They are all a bit different on some level.

I know there is a main thread for club level, but I find it a bit overwhelming to find an answer. I just want to know what exactly do you get for Club Level? What's so great about it?

Do you want a list of specific things you get? Then:

- Itinerary Planning team to work with you before your vacation. They can book ADRs, recreation like boat rentals, add special request to your room reservation or special dietary needs to ADRs, answer any questions, get special event tickets for you like Christmas Party, arrange transportation to/ from airport (Magical Express or private car service).

- Dedicated club level CMs at the hotel for check in & to make/ change ADRs, book events, add tickets etc. They basically do the same thing front desk CMs would do, but you don't have to go to the lobby & wait in a line. Club CMs are only there 7am - 10 pm, at off hours you need to go to front desk for any needs.

- Some club levels have upgraded toiletries or little extras like toothbrush & paste, but that isn't a promised benefit. There are robes in the room for you to use. Club level rooms automatically get turn down service every night. They tidy the room, turn down the beds & leave small chocolates on your pillow, replace used towels & empty garbages.

- All club levels have some type of lounge. Many are large dedicated rooms which are only open certain hours & are closed over night. A few are open all the time. For example, the Royal Palm Club in the main building at Grand Floridian are large open areas on the 3rd, 4th & 5th floors that you can relax in anytime of day. But the Yacht Club lounge is a dedicated room that is locked after 10 pm.

- Thee are food & beverages available at specific times of the day. Most have coffee starting at 7am. Then: 7:30 - 10:30 ish is continental breakfast. All the lounges have an expresso machine for coffee & tea. There are a few cold cereals, assorted mini muffins & pastries that change daily, bagels with usual accompaniments, yogurts, bread for toasting. Most have either oatmeal or grits. All the lounges have added some type of protein: either hard boiled eggs &/or a cold meat like turkey or ham. Fruit like it cut up melons & whole fruit like bananas & apples too.

There are snacks like gold fish crackers, house made chips & dip, gummy bears etc plus beverages like soda, used tea, lemonade during the afternoon. You can ask for adult beverages anytime too, but they aren't out during the day.

Evenings from 5 - 7 there are appetizers. Each lounge has at least 2 hot items plus several cold items. For example: bacon wrapped meatballs plus a chicken skewer with dip. Cold items are things like capreses salad, veggies & dip, cheese & crackers, bread, rolls, pb&j for the kids, etc. There are wines & beer plus the other beverages.

From 8-10 pm there are mini desserts: cookies, cupcakes, fruit tarts, gummies. Also cordials for the adults.

Each hotel has a slightly different menu since they get their foods from their own restaurants. But they all follow the same time frames & general types of offerings. Both lounges at GF also add a tea service in the middle of the day.

- The club levels are mostly dedicated floors or buildings. You have to use your magic band or room key to access the floor or building. This gives an extra bit of security/ privacy that many people appreciate.

As previous posters said, it is an individual decision on what makes it special or "worth it". If you have a family of teen boys, you will save money on breakfast alone. For my DH & me, we don't drink adult beverages but the morning foods are perfect for us plus we like not worrying about what floor we're on or what view we'll get. So we don't get our money back in food, but the value of the dedicated floor is worth a lot to us.

Hope this helps!

We do feel like we get our money's worth if there are 4 or more of us. Just buying breakfast for 4 would be about $40.00. And since we are light eaters, the horsedoveurs (or however it's spelled!) count as our evening meal. Another $40-50 not spent. I don't even know how much drinks are now & maybe my math is a little off, but let me live in my dream world & believe it's a "bargain"!
And you have full use of the lounge until midnight on your check out day. That's been very helpful to us too many times to count.

I think that you do get your money's worth and then some staying club level. The time and hassle saving first thing in the morning for breakfast is wonderful. We often eat a large lunch meal in whatever park we are in and then have the lounge apps. for a lite dinner. The costs of a bottle of beer or a glass of wine at Disney is crazy high so that adds up as well. We are an older couple and we spend some resort time every trip so having some snacks and a cold drink to bring down to the pool with you is a savings as well. When our son was younger and he traveled with us just his non-stop snacking alone more than paid for the club level.

Then you have all the other little extra's that the CL offers. For example it's nice to have someone be able to print out your charge sheet every other day or so and if I see a problem they are quick to help. We once had a double charge for a lunch at the Brown Derby and they quickly fixed it for us. My sister-in-law joined us for a trip one year and she needed some distilled water for her "sleeping machine". We didn't drive so I called ahead and requested some and it was waiting in the room for us when we checked in. I had a screw come out of my glasses one morning and asked a CM if they had a small screwdriver. Not only did they have one but she happily fixed it for me! It's so convenient to have the CM right there if something comes up to talk to them instead of having to walk downstairs to the main desk, stand in line and sometimes not having the happiest CM to talk to. An added plus is that many of the CM have been at their respective hotels for many years and it adds to the "coming home" feeling of our vacations.

We have stayed at many of the deluxe hotels but mostly the BWI. I have never paid over $100 a night extra for the club level and many times it's closer to $50 a night. Money well spent!

They absolutely do have access to hard to find reservations. We were booked through AKL concierge for a New Years Eve cruise on Breathless, which is (or was) impossible to get.

They hold back many things for club level guests.

Looking at YC rack for June next year, the difference between a GV room and SV CL is $161. I wish I could luck into an $80 difference because that's a pretty signifanct sum!

Last trip we decided to try club level at the Beach Club.
When we arrived at our resort, on the magical express, we were met by a greeter that verified our name and resort number. she then took us up to the 5th floor for check in. my husband and I were given strawberry champagne and the kids were offered a soda.
After we settled in we stopped in the lounge for the evening snacks and drinks. They were very delicious and I guess you could make a meal out of them but there wasn't anything substantial.
We utilized the lounge every day for breakfast. We were even allowed to take soda and water and fruit with us in our bags, to take to the parks (I did ask first to make sure) .
We usually would come back to the resort about 3 for a nap or swim and head of to the lounge for wine and snacks before our evening in the park or dinner.
Another perk is our purchases from the day before would always be waiting for us in our room. Also since I used my magic band to charge, the middle of the day was the perfect time to check my balance and apply a payment if I wanted to.
We are definitely doing club level again on our next trip. However we are still going to add the dining plan. This way we can try the signature restaurants we always wanted to try.

I just made reservations for club level this week! Wlderness Lodge, Deluxe Room, Club Level. Sounds impressive! But with 6 adults going, it was actually cheaper that 2 rooms. The downside? One bathroom for 6 adults!
