Hi,

I am thinking about breakfast here on our December trip. Pro cons please! Never been!

Allison

It's a fun breakfast place featuring Minnie, Goofy and Chip 'n Dale in beach attire. It used to be that Minnie would greet guests at the entry, but I've heard she may also make the rounds of the tables, too.

This is a good breakfast buffet with a good selection of hot & cold items, including fresh fruit, granola, cereals, pastries, waffles, eggs, breakfast meats, grits (it is the SOUTH after all), etc. The buffet is set on a square island and is usually well-stocked and maintained.

This character breakfast is a somewhat quiet one compared to Chef Mickey's. There are no crazy antics; you take your own pictures. The interaction is good and while they try not to make it seem rushed, it does feel brief sometimes.

Cons: Even with a PS you may have a long wait, even if you snag one of the 1st ones of the day. Not sure why but they seem to be somewhat slower seating people -- this happened during the slow seasons.

Sometimes the food quality can suffer -- overcooked bacon with undercooked eggs is not too thrilling. But on our last visit in May it had improved.

This is a popular breakfast, so I'd recommend making your PS early. You can go without a PS but I wouldn't recommend it -- unless you really like waiting.

Do they happen to have the Oreo bon-bons out for breakfast?

Any chocolate lover that has been at CM for dinner will know what I'm referring to.

Thanks

Wow, oreo bonbons! I have to get myself to CM's :hyper:

I do the cape may breakfast every trip and it's usually lots of fun. I would definately make a PS though (once I had to wait 45 minutes even with a PS). The last time I went for the last seating and the food wasn't so great by then, and the characters were rushed. I would probably go earlier next time.

I've never seen Oreo bon-bons there, but they do feature Krispy Kreme donuts in several varieties.

I would recommend booking as early as you can. Even then you may experience a wait for seating.
