So... I've got a TV and DVD player. I understand that cable is offered at sites in Fort Wilderness. We're going to be in a partial loop this August. Will there be cable on those two loops by then?

Then, if we end up on a loop with cable, is it free with the site rental? How long of a cable am I going to need to hook it up?

Thanks guys!

Cable won't be in the partial hookup loops till late in the year, November I think.

I don't believe you will have cable in August yet, maybe your next trip. I'm sure prices will go up when they make all the changes. I'd bring 25 ft of cable to be sure.

Yeah, regular coax is cheap. I bought a 50 ft cable for the camper for less than $10, but that little flat 3 inch coax that goes out the window was $15!!!

Not to hijack a thread, but does anyone know if the cable at the Fort is what they have at the other resorts? One of the first things I like to do at Disney is watch the theme park channels...it helps feed my obsession.

Well, I guess it's possible we'd end up on a full-hookup loop when we get there and maybe we'd have cable. Would be nice, but I won't die without it.

I have been meaning to ask this but was a little embarrassed.

We've never had cable at a campground. Do you need a cable to run from their box to your cable connection on the RV?

We visited the fort briefly two weekends ago and the guard let us park in the 100 loop and I could have sworn I saw a cable hanging from one of the empty sites. Guess someone could have left it by mistake.

Anyway, to clairfy we do need to bring cable right? :confused3

Yes...::yes::

So... I've got a TV and DVD player. If it is new and has a digital tuner, you can get all the local, over air, channels with a desktop antenna. Thanks guys!
Have fun
