Hi, would love to hear some experiences about dining at Boma.

I saw the menu but was wondering if the food is very spicy. Thanks

We just got back from WDW and did Boma on the first night. Most of the food is not spicey, even if it is you can just try anouther item. I really like the Salom and the Prime Rib and Chicken, they have alot of choices so you should find something to your like. My kids 10 and 13 go for the mac and cheese and the chicken tenders, they think Boma has the best mac and cheese and chicken fingers. Try the deserts, very good. You'll like Boma.

It was really good, imo. Some of the sauces had some spice to them, but they were on the side. The meat was nicely seasoned (steak and prime rib) but not overly spiced, imo.

It's "spicy" in the sense the food is very flavorful. But it's not "spicy" in the sense of it being HOT. As mentioned, there are sauces that have spices with heat, but they are to the side...not ON the food itself.

We loved it there!

Ohhhh, tell me more.
I just made an ADR there this afternoon, and want to know more!!!

So there is chicken and beef, what are the side dishes? Is there pasta or potatoes?

I saw there is lots of salads and soups.

Desserts good?

It's the best looking buffet I've ever seen, haha. But of course, that's only from pictures.
I'm so excited to eat there.

Boma - my favorite and I'm a picky eater and do not like spicy foods. We've taken all kinds of eaters there. I had my husband, a true carnivore, sitting across from a great friend, a true vegetarian, and they both rolled out of there. I think even my mother-in-law finished her multiple plates.

They do have a "children's" area with mac and cheese but anyone can eat off of that. Desserts? Heavenly Zebra Domes. Enough said.

One suggestion that was given to me by our very first Cast Member to wait on us (we've been so many times). The salad dressings sound really strange but take two and combine them. I did and it was great. My picky, pickey carnivore son actually requested going bace there just for the salads and the dressing.

Just get there early or plan to leave later and take a walk around the grounds.

You will LOVE this restaurant!

They have at least four soups (the carrot ginger soup a particular favorite), they have at least as many, if not more salad choices, a fresh fruit station, a bread station, a grown up AND and kiddie section, and a DESSERT station...zebra domes!!!!
:maleficen

Zebra Domes!! :worship:

When we ate there earlier this year, several times I noticed that a waiter would go around with people eating there and explain the dishes to them and would even let them have a sample of it before they put it on their plate.

We love Boma! There is something for everyone! It is a must do! :thumbsup2

I have seen pictures of the zebra dome, but what exactly are they? Chocolate? Mousse? Cake?

We love both Boma's food and setting/theme. I thought this may help you:

Boma is my favorite place to eat. We are going there in 3 weeks. You will love it. Not to "spicy" but spiced to perfection is my opinion. Thanks for the menu's now I know what I will be having. :p

We ate there for the first time two weeks ago. Absolutely loved it. I tell people the flavorings are 'earthy.' Think cumin, curry, etc. Wonderful. I was disappointed with Zebra Domes. I am the one. I was expecting the dessert to walk on water, I think. Didn't help the dessert plates weren't chilled so the mousse was getting pushy with the Zebra. This will be a restaurant we revisit. LOVED IT.

gems_smiling,

We are there on a Sunday, what do they serve then? :confused3

Best buffet by far on site! I loved the spices in the food at Boma, in comparision to whatever they do to the meat at O'hana that caused upset stomachs to my whole family. Boma is an incredible value for dinner. From soups to entrees to desserts we give it a big thumbs up! :thumbsup2
