tell me about Aulani

what about air fare?
It really depends on where you fly from and what time of year. You can get a good idea by going to www.kayak.com and entering your expected dates of travel. You can also set up a watch that will report current prices regularly. That will give you your best info on pricing.

The OP said they're from AL. They'll need at least one stop - I never do more than one, since it just tacks on travel time.

Makes it so much harder with kids! When your trip already costs $5000 before you factor in lodging, dining, and entertainment, it adds up!

We cook in daily in Hawaii though - so that part is actually not expensive. We shop Costco for most food (and drinks to make our own mixed drinks to bring down to the pool or enjoy on the lanai).

We just got back from a 10 day trip to Aulani, first time to Hawaii for the family (Me, DW, DS13, DS9) and like all of the posts above everyone was just completely amazed with Hawaii. It was pretty expensive, but so worth it. Definitely our new happy place. We rented a car for the entire trip, drove to some different areas on our own vs. taking excursions. We loved it. Our new goal is to make Aulani or at least Hawaii an every other year family vacation. We took direct flights from TX and tickets were around $1200 each. But we didn't shop around at all.
