Hi Everyone!!

Just got back less than a week and want to plan another trip to Disney in January. I stayed at the Pop Century resort and really liked the resort itself but the transportation system was not as good as other hotels and is a real drawback for me to go back. I would, also, like to stay at other resorts at Disney... so I was thinking of trying the ASMo resort.

Can anyone tell me about their experiences here?? Were the rooms noisy??? how's the transportation?? CMs???

Any info would be great!!

Thank-You Very Much

Tracey

Hi, Tracey,

Maybe it was the time of your visit? We stayed at POP last Feb (first week, it was cold!!!) and the buses were excellent where ever we went, coming and going. I would stay there again - never the AStars. Although lots of people love the AStars, the decor would drive me crazy. The bathrooms look way too busy - I think I'd be dizzy!! LOL

Have fun!!!!

First of all, what is the acronym for All Star Sports (could get ugly). We were there in June and really enjoyed the resort. We are used to moderate and above so missed the nicer pools but the rooms were more than adequate. Also, the food court is the only option which , I think, would get old quickly.

We used it for the first night because we arrived late that night and it was easy to use.

ASMo was our first onsite experience, so it will always be a special place for our family. We have stayed there twice, and had a great time both trips. We have since stayed at Pop, CBR, and are trying out the WL in Dec. My husband compares everything to ASMo, and so far, nothing is measuring up! We like the convienience of everything right there together, no long walks after a long day in the parks. Also, we only ate breakfast at the food court, so it was o.k. with us. Also, the theming is done quite well, although I agree about the bathrooms, lol! We think it's a great resort at a great price. Never had any problems with bus service, noise, etc.

we liked the asmo, found the transportation great. only had one wait that was long and that was from the MK one night. but that was the only long wait.(and im talking maybe 30 minutes) Loved the food court. My brother was able to get an ice cream sunday every night on the way to our building. he thaught that was so cool. The only thing i wasnt too thrilled with was that we stayed in the herbie building and it was a long walk back and forth to the main building.

The next time we stayed at asmu and loved that one also. again great food court. this time stayed in a preferred building and i was completely happy with both resorts.

I didnt find either resorts to be noisy. Yes the decor is a little annoying, but the kids thaught it was cool and loved the popcorn light.

I would choose PC over ASMo anyday. PC is newer and cleaner and has more pool choices. The bus transporation is hit and miss as to when you may have a problem, you could go back to PC and not have any problems. You can always drive or take a bus over to ASMo and let the kids look around but we did not care for it, and I will leave it at that rather than stir anyone up, lol

My little girls (1and 2 the last time we were there) loved the theming at ASMo. The grounds were very clean and well maintained and I even found it exciting.
We stayed in the Love Bug section. I have heard many people complain it is a long walk to the buses, but I didnt think it was. It was a very quiet and peaceful section and when we go there again in Jan, I am going to request it.
We had no problems with the buses, and we had our own in the morning, but sometimes shared with the other All Stars returning in the evening.
I did not care for the food court food. I guess I was just tired of "fast food" and that is really the only option at any of the values.
I think the pools are beautiful. No slides, but my kids only use the kiddie pool, which they loved!!!
The rooms are on the small side, but if you are like us, we only used them to sleep in. They are not "fancy", but rather basic and functional. They were clean too.
All in all, I love this place!!! I cant wait to go back!!!!!
