We will be in the World December 2004 for 8 nights. We will be staying over Christmas and would like to hear about your Christmas meals. We ate at Narcossee's in 2003 and it was delicious. We want to try something different, though. Our Thanksgiving meal at 'Ohana was a disaster and we want to avoid a similar problem. So, let me hear, good and bad, where you had Christmas dinner.

Mind if I ask why O'hanas' was such a disaster? We are looking at doing O'hanas' for Christmas 2004. We've been there only 1 x and really enjoyed it.

We have also eaten at 'Ohana and loved our meal. The difference was the restaurant served "traditional Thanksgiving" and not the normal menu. I specifically asked about the menu being served when I made our PS. The CM didn't say anything about traditional meal being served family style. If he had, we would have made other plans. The meal was very mediocre to say the least. The turkey was of the pressed meat variety, the dressing was gluey, the mashed potatoes and green beans were barely warm. The rolls were hard as a rock and not served with butter. The pumpkin tarts were icky as well. The cafeteria at my school served a better traditional Thanksgiving meal than what was offered at 'Ohana. Actually, I think this same tasteless meal was served quite a bit on Thanksgiving this year. We have decided in the future we will eat where we can order off a menu or will eat at Beaches and Cream. We will be returning to 'Ohana on our next trip, but not for a holiday meal.

Now, can anyone else help me out with Christmas ideas for 2004?

We had Christmas Eve dinner at Artist Pointe, excellent! Christmas morning breakfast was in the castle and dinner was at the Hoop Dee Doo. It was great to be at the HDD for dinner still alot of fun but not too hectic:D

We had Thanksgiving at Boatwrights & Xmas at Yachtsmans St. Cant say enough good things about both restaurants.

We had Xmas eve at Kona Cafe which was just wonderful and we did Christmas dinner at Cape May Cafe. I was actually looking for a place that would have the traditional menu in addition to other offerings because of the requests of others travelling with us.
I was very dissappointed in the turkey roll or whatever that was, but the other food was very good and very diverse, and the dessert selections were great for the holiday (yule logs, holiday cookies).
