DD (15) & I are just having a bad day. I want to scream, so I can I do it here................

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Thanks - I feel much better now! :)

They say that this too shall pass - right? Oh, please someone tell me that it will

I know how it is - I have a DS 15. They say the "hormones" are worse in girls but I don't see how it can be worse! Talk about mood swings......

I feel your pain!

I also have a 15 yo DD at home. Between the eye rolling, the pouting and the lack of cleanliness in her room and her incessant pleadings to go to the mall......UGH!!!

I hear they grow out of it eventually - we just have to outlast 'em! :p

Occasionally, though, she'll show up next to me just to chat and hang out. I hope you & your DD have some fun times soon!

I always tell my dd (15, also) that if I had a crystal ball and could know that the decisions she makes now would result in her being a productive happy 25 yo then I would gladly back off. Barring that magical sphere, she is stuck with me making decisions which I instinctively know will be for her good in the long run.

Still, it doesn't make the scenes any better.:(

Scream away, Melsmice. I'm sure you would do the same for any of us ......... and my DD is only a couple of years away!

Never had a daughter but I had a 15 year old son...Deena is correct, somewhere around age 25, this will pass. Hang in there, sweetie.

My DD is also 15 so I feel your pain. . . .there are good days and horrible days . . .we've been on the good days kick for awhile . . .don't know how much longer that will last . . .

I have 14 and 16 year old DSs. The 16 year old is sitting here, breathing down my neck, tapping his feet, whining, watching his watch, wanting me to get off the computer so he can chat with his friends. aarrrgggggggggg

Karen

Thanks for all your support - the day's almost done & I'm hoping for a better one tomorrow!

Royalbear - if you do get that crystal ball could I borrow it for a while please!!!!??

BTW - I have twin 12 year old twin DD's - what was I thinking when I said we should try for another baby - YIKES!

Well, a few more days & I'll be in "the world". I think I may take a few days to myself in some parks!!!

Thanks again, everyone. :wave2:

I'm only 18, but I look back at being 14 and 15 and wonder how my mom made it through. At the time I thought I knew everything and that my mom knew nothing. I sort of wish I could take back some of that eye rolling now. Don't worry guys! It will pass, I promise!

Yeah, I call my mom every day and tell her how sorry I am for once being 15!

Melsmice: made the same mistake you did--got 4 year old twin boys. I keep trying to sell them on EBay, but somehow my listing gets removed.:teeth:

Yep it will pass. My oldest daughter now almost 22 is wonderful to be around but not some years back!!

My 18 yr old daughter gosh perfect angel all her life. We think they gave us the wrong child. :p

My 11 yr old son is showing behaviour like his oldest sister (the way she use to be).

Good news! Yesterday I came up with a new way to discipline him and today he is a joy to be with, LOL!

I made him sit with me for 15 minutes and he had to start all conversations and the conversations had to be all about ME and not him. He said we had nothing in common and that was going to be real hard, LOL. I said well if you don't start a conversation all about me instead of you and your wants I will add another 15 minutes. This punishment started because of the smart aleck mouth, eye rolling and walking away as I was talking because he had to get back to his games.

The funny thing is after he started asking me questions we were giggling and having a great time. It's my new punishment from now on - spending time with mom, LOL. :p

I guess that's where all this gray hair came from ;)
:earseek:
::yes::
:teeth:

Yeah, scream all you want. My oldest is almost 19 and most of the moodiness is gone, but my youngest is starting it.
