Teenage Tour Group Nudity at ASMo Pool

well florida actually doesn't have a law preventing that (only things "below the belt" so to speak)

I doubt this is the case with underage girls, however. That awful Girls Gone Wild guy got arrested and served time for getting girls under the age of 18 to show their ta ta's on camera.

However, if there isn't an age limit, if 14-15 year old girls are allowed to walk around topless in the state of Florida how ironic is it that they can do that, but whoever takes a pic of them on their camera phone and is caught with it is arrested for child pornography and branded as a pedophile for the rest of their lives.

You know, that brings up the problem of the unsuspecting families who may have inadvertently gotten some topless underage girls in the background of their family pool photos. That is sad and when having those pictures printed could possibly lead to trouble. Granted, that is a bit of a worst case scenario, but I actually knew someone who got questions by police after having pictures of their less than 1 year old in the bathtub developed so I guess anything is possible!

Do write then and let them know of your disappointement in the entire situation.

I did write an email to customer relations and received a very nice call from them this past Friday...the representative assured me that since I could give her the exact time and day, disciplinary action would be taken. We'll see :goodvibes

Italy isn't the only country that wonders why citizens of the USA are so concerned with the matters...

When you're visiting a foreign country it is appropriate (polite) to follow the customs of that country.

Especially when we aren't just just speaking of polite behavior, we are speaking of legalities. It is illegal to be naked in public. (Unless perhaps you are over 18 in Florida, then you can share you chesticles with the rest of the world.)

Wow! They obviously dont understand WDW is very family oriented!! I understand things are different at home for them but when your in Rome...

My family is from the Netherlands were alot of women are topless at the beach and pools so I also am no prude(wouldnt do it myself) but I defanitely would have gotten a manager for this situation for the young eyes around..

I'm surprised that they let this happen in WDW. Once we were waiting at the monorail and a couple (honeymooners?) were getting a little too affectionate. A Disney employee in a shirt and tie walked up to them and said something to them which cooled them off. That was nowhere near what this family experienced.

Americans can be absolutely ridiculous about nudity. In this case, however, the girls were wrong to bare their breasts at WDW. They are in the US and need to abide by American standards.

WOW! We toured last July and saw thousands of people in tour groups, but luckily had no behavior problems. Just dealing withe hoards of people in groups, getting FP, single ride lines, getting around the park was challenging. We went to BB last year and had to move our "base camp" as a tour group decided to make their camp right next to ours. The teenage girls were wearing thongs, not what we typically see in Midwest Iowa and not what we want to see. I was uncomfortable and just found another spot to sit.

I am glad that Disney addressed your problem, although too late. We will not be touring again in July due to these groups. I am hoping to tour in the second week of August, tour group free :scared1:

Exactly! A family resort is not the place to engage in this behaviour.

IMO, one should not have to report topless teenagers at the pool. If the lifeguards were doing their job, they would take care of the situation and advise the girls that they need to keep their tops on, and if the guards can't handle it, then they should advise someone in a higher-up position at the resort.

Exactly. :)

I'm not sure where people are getting some of their info from. But in Florida it IS illegal to be topless. There are a few topless beaches but you can't just be topless in a public or private place where others can see you. Where I live, you can't even wear a thong to the beach. Unfortunately not everyone complies. Nothing like being at the beach w/ your family & watching a 70 year old man jogging on the beach in a thong:confused:. Now that is priceless.:lmao:

I wonder, if asked, if Disney would tell when you called to book, how many tour groups were booked for the same time? My dollar is as good as the one they spend. I might book at a different time if I could get the info. We typically go late, late fall or February. Have experienced the groups but nothing like what is being reported about the size and behavior this summer.

I called to ask about Pop Warner, knowing the dates but not knowing their designated resorts, before our Dec '09 trip and not one but three different CMs told me they'd never heard of PW. Since I'm sure these groups book through a designated contact it is entirely possible that the agents staffing the main line really don't know, but even if they did why would Disney allow them to give out information that amounts to "avoid these weeks and these resorts..."?

Yes of course it is. Pop Warner books with Group booking who is not who you called and many CMs answering the phone have never even been to Disney World and are not in Florida. Many are in their homes all over the US. As to when the large groups are going to be at Disney no need to call, it's pretty common knowledge and always shared here on the forums.

July for large tour groups, first week in Dec. for Pop Warner.

Just to let you know, not all LATINOS behave this way, in fact, the only ones that do that kind of stuff are BRAZILIANS. I guess they are more "Open Minded", and its getting Worse.......
