Hi Mac! Long time no see.

I’ve not posted for a wee while now but just had to comment when I read your comment on the crunchy that you purchased in Halifax.

It's true. Candy or chocolate will usually bring out the lurkers.
But candy and chocolate together???
Irresistable.

When we visit the world we take with us some chocolate for the maids which we leave in the morning for them to savour hoping that it is unlike to the UK and can’t be purchased in the States. We normally take Crunchies & Tunnocks Carmel wafers.

Never heard of the wafers before.

This year went into the UK Shop in epcot and there they were in full display [ our illusions were dashed]

I suppose I shouldn't laugh.
But... the best laid plans...

Just for info you ever come over here sponge candy is called Puff candy amazing how things the same can be called different names

If I come over there, I'm making them change the name.
Even if it means I have to eat all the sponge candy in the country.

These are the sacrifices I'm willing to make.

Oh, how I love it when miles can actually successfully be used for tickets!!!! YES! So rare on short notice. (For example, I booked Willow’s and my tickets for our Summer 2015 trip some time ago because I really needed a no airfare situation for that trip. )

I got really lucky here.
I'll explain more if/when I do a TR on it.

All that sashaying and stopping really paid off in some great pics as well.

Ah, it’s great that Ruby got done early so she could do some of the exploring with you. It wouldn’t be fair if she had to miss Sugah - that place sounds amazing! Of course, the market didn’t really stand out as something not to be missed. That’s really a shame.

That chowder looked almost good enough to provoke your grizzly reaction to having it removed!

I’ve never really read much about Halifax before - I enjoyed seeing your pics and hearing about it. It seems like it would be a really neat place to visit. Thanks for sharing!

I was so happy that I could share what I thought would be a highlight of the trip with her.

I'm glad Nebo's surgery went well. I worked for an Ortho - read lots of surgery reports - I have to say I have never heard of the high tech rubber band/safety pin hand traction. Must be pretty special! I hope he follows directions and heals well!

In news on the home front, we went wedding dress shopping with our daughter and some friends today. She was totally devastated that we didnt break out in tears when she walked out in the first one, LOL. The wedding is over a year away, so more shopping is coming, but boy is it exhausting (to me, who hates shopping, LOL, even all I have to do is sit and wait for the new exhibit).
And get this, her maid of honor is going to be........


her brother!

I was lying on the loveseat. nebo was in the bathroom.. our whole first floor is basically one room divided into the kitchen/ living room are, and the powder room off the foyer very small. and I have very good hearing.. (bartender ears! bartenders hear everything and hear nothing! lol)

Hello everyone!

As you can tell, i'm alive and well...I'll post more about the ordeal in our report, I don't want to hijack Ponzi's post afterall, and I believe T-Man has done a more extensive version of the story there, along with pictures. I just want to say thanks for the concern. I am doing a ton better physically, mentally is a different story. I still catch myself waking up sometimes in the middle of the night and waiting for it to happen again, or glancing over at T-Man to make sure he's still breathing. I'm sure I've just gone completely mental and I don't think that was a far jump from my previous self.

I am desperately trying to catch up here. These last few months have been super crazy and I haven't had a chance to read. Hopefully I can catch up soon.

Until then..Remember, leave the water with the dolphins! wish someone would have given me that advice when I was there
