As I stated over on our abandoned TR, we've been crazy busy at work. Lady H got a new position at work. She'll be traveling a lot more now.

2 employees in my division were let go. For some reason, they thought they could just get paid and not do any work. And people would be ok with that. Boy were they ever wrong. There's the door. Don't let it hit you where the good lord split you on your way out. Well the work they didn't do has now been passed on to me and a few other people. I've had one heck of a mess to clean up. Plus I'm expanding my horizon's at work. Having to learn new stuff. At least they gave me raise, which helps. I had caught up there for a while, but then I got bombarded with more stuff. I really need to learn to slow down and look busy.

So by the time we get home, all we want to do is relax and not even turn on the computer. We've spent some of our weekends camping. The other weekends are spent doing yard work and cleaning the house. Now we're getting ready for our trip to Cancun which is just a month away. Even though I haven't posted much, I have found time to at least read what was going on.

I was like "Way to go Ponzi." Then you stopped posting those type of pictures and lost readers. So yeah, must have been something you wrote. Or failed to write. Once you stopped with those pictures, this TR got boring.

OMG that was bad! I couldn't watch it from where I was when I first read the post, but just pulled it up now. I agree with Marie, I think I stood it for about 20 seconds. I am SOOO glad my kids are (mostly) grown now and I am no longer subjected to that kind of stuff. I am hoping that by the time any grandkids come along that I am senile enough not to care anymore...

There was a commercial (I think it was on SNL... maybe Seinfeld) that advertised a permanently steaming cup (of coffee).
The idea was to leave it on your desk at all times.

Manager: "Huh. Looks like Smith is in early today. I don't see him in his office right now, but he's got a hot coffee on his desk, so I know he's in!"

I met Clint Howard (Ron's older brother) and got an autograph. Did you know he is the voice of Roo? Also some other semi-famous people. Didn't get their autographs.

So we are absolutely, no kidding around this time, 100% not traveling anywhere in 2015!!!!

I have a sneaking suspicion that if/when I go, it'll be a solo, whirlwind trip.
But who knows.

Wow! The girls did amazing in the competition! How wonderful. Cannot believe that you would have to pay again to watch the girls whom you drove all the way to the competition - that is just CRAZY. Of course, it was great that you had that time with your sister, but I still think it’s just bizarre how they handle this competition.

Wow! The girls did amazing in the competition! How wonderful. Cannot believe that you would have to pay again to watch the girls whom you drove all the way to the competition - that is just CRAZY. ok, so nebo heard/and or felt a "snap" in his hand while trying to light his bic lighter (I told him not to go back to smoking! lol)
this hapened before our last trip.. so anyway he will be having more surgery at the end of oct. his ortodedic guy referred him to a hand specialist. it will be a 4 hour surgery, with tendon grafts, nerve repair, etc.e tc. and the dr. thinks he should be able to hold a pen and write again, type and meither I nor the Dr. care if he can light a cigaretter again.

the best news. talk about serendiptiy.. the dr. was wearing a mickey pin.. his asst. was wearing a minnie pin. the dr. is staying at AKL in feb.. his asst is planning a trip in 18 months. before we left, tyhe dr. ran into the back, came out with one of those bluse plastic diney store bags and rummaged through it. pulled out all kinds of Disney pins.. gave Nebo a steamboat willie pin.

I think nebo is in good "hands".
