Teen ordering kids meal?

Would my 15 year old DD be able to order the PBJ palete at Carnation Cafe? She used to be a very picky eater and has recently become much more adventurous, howver, PBJ is still her fav She has seen pics of the PBJ at Carnation Cafe and really wants to get it. Anyone know if people older than 9 can order from the kids menu? Thanks

I don't see this as being an issue. I did it all the time when I was at DLR, and still do so (it's what one can afford on CM wages ).

I would think the waitstaff response varies by server, so it's entirely possible (or not) she can get the PB&J sandwich.

Her odds of getting a PB&J are pretty good if she smiles and makes steady eye contact, shows the waiter respect and asks politely if she "may" order the sandwich. Sometimes being nice is all it takes!

I know DL has rules, but it never hurts to venture a try and see what happens! This way, she made an honest attempt.

When we've ordered a kid's meal for an adult in WDW we were allowed to do it at sit-downs but they didn't inc. the drink. We had to pay extra for it. Your DD should be able to do it. After all, Disney wants to do what they can to keep guests happy!

The only place my teen was not able to order off the kid's menu was Napa Rose so you should be okay. As others said, asking politely is the way to go.

Thanks for the quick replies DD is almost always cheerful & polite (must be the Disney magic in her bloodstream) We'll give it a try as most of you have said it can't hurt to ask politely
