Any snack/dessert or craft ideas for a Teen Christmas Party?

Daughter is having 8 girlfriends (age 14) over next Saturday. The only thing I know they are doing is a Gift exchange.

Thanks in advance,
Christine

I know it sounds juvenile but my DD(16) and her friends have put together the pre-baked gingerbread houses at parties. They get together in "teams" and decorate. We have some great pictures of their "creations"!!

In fact, next week they are coming over to decorate one and exchange gifts.

Tiggerkeeper-thanks for the idea. I was thinking of that, was not sure who would get the house in the end. Do they even care? Maybe picking a number.

Thanks Again,
Christine

We usually take a picture of each house with those who decorated it and have copies made for everyone. We have drawn straws for the creations new home. The pictures seem to be more popular than the actual house! Go figure!

Have fun and enjoy the girls!!

My friend's daughter had a make-your-own-brownie-sundae bar for her 16th B-day. The girls were in heaven! They could pick toppings including strawberries, raspberry sauce, whipped cream, nuts, sprinkles, etc. Mmmmm... now I'm hungry!
:D

saturday97 thank you for another good idea.

Some games I have thought of (they win prizes like lip glosses, stuffed animal, etc.) Pin the star on the Tree, How many words can you make with the word CHRISTMAS, they have 1 minute. How many m&m's in a jar?.

They are 13 and 14 but really looking forward to this!

Any other fun games, that don't take a lot of time?

DD gave them a choice of making these glass ornaments with paint or a gingerbread house, they chose the house.

When my son was in 8th grade for his math class a group of them had to make a gingerbread house to scale of one of the kid's real house. So we took a picture of our house for the kids to work off of. We did use some cardboard to back up the graham crackers and someone gave me that recipe for the good sticky frosting that dries good. We use those little waffle cone cups to be the outside hottub and put blue jelly beans in it for the water. They used upside ice cream cones for the trees etc. They were very creative and had a great time. It was really a lot of fun for them.
