I usually get my DS15 one nice (expensive?) gift and then some smaller things for Christmas. I'm having a hard time this year, because he hasn't really given me any ideas except for a four-wheeler, and that's not happening. :rotfl: I thought about a GoPro, but I'm not sure how much he'd use it. Any ideas?

We do the same thing. In years past we have done a water resistant camera, guitar, 3DS for each, Xbox 360 as a family gift, Wii as a family gift, upgraded iPhone.

This year we got a fantastic deal on laptops for the back to school tax free weekend, so both sons are getting their own laptops.

Good luck.

OMG must be the age! My DS15 really didn't give us much of a list either. DS12 adds new items daily! :rotfl2: We got a PS4 as a Family Gift with a few games & 3D Blueray movies. That was really all he asked for. MIL is getting him a new LAX Stick. Other than that not much. Lots of GC (Steam, Gamestop, Dunkin Donuts, Skyzone, Orange Leaf, Google Play Store). A lift ticket GC to go snowboarding, movie passes.
I think that's all :confused3

My guys are 12 and 15. Both have earbuds and a Pokemon ds game on they list. The 15 year old picked out a few things from The Rooster Teeth store. Nothing else on their lists.

Both of mine play LAX also, and we have always been able to get them things for that, but they need and want nothing LAX this year. FYI: Madlax has some cool shorts, so does Wave Dog.

It must be the age - all of my kids (13,15,20)really couldn't come up with anything for their "big gifts" either!
I told them I must be doing really well at spoiling them if they couldn't come up with anything! :lmao:

They all said "oh, there are things we want but either they are too expensive, or you won't buy them".:rotfl2: For example - my oldest has been asking for a dirt bike for Christmas since he was, I believe, 5...still asks every year! Slow learner I guess. :rotfl:

Oldest is actually getting mostly money and gift certificates. I am not a fan of this, but it's what he really wants, so I bite the bullet and do it. He's getting a Chicago Bulls sweatshirt, a MN Vikings t-shirt, a couple nicer shirts, and 2 pair of jeans. The rest is gift cards.

DS15 is getting Turtle Beach headphones, a bow fishing reel, clothes, some fishing lures, and gift certificates. This coming from the child who has always come up with his big present but then never seems to use it very often. Last year he wanted a bow. So...we hunt and search for a reasonable bow (those things are stinking EXPENSIVE!!) and got a barely used one on Craigslist - he's used it maybe 2 or 3 times. (And notice he asked for a bow fishing reel for that bow this year - whatever:rolleyes1). 2 years ago he "had to have" a guitar. Played it all of 3 times and it's sat in the corner ever since.
:furious:

Noise cancelling earphones for the computer (Razor is the brand my DS chose) and a cool mouse (same brand).
An actual electric razor if he doesn't have one.

My DS16 asked for a loveseat as his big Christmas gift this year. We have a spare bedroom he uses for a video game room/man room and the loveseat that had been in there was over 25 years old. We found a good deal on Black Friday. Eventually, when he moves out, he will have a piece of furniture to take with him!

He did get a nice laptop at the beginning of the school year. He paid for half and his grandma paid for half. He uses it every single day.

Last year, we got him 4 tickets to a concert in Chicago. I took him and 2 friends. We stayed overnight downtown. He loved it, and mentioned he would like to do that again next year.

Good luck and happy holidays!

Are their any local BMX/4 Wheeler parks that you could get him a gift certificate for?

For my teen nieces, one year I did a bunch (and I mean a bunch) of $5 gift cards to all sorts of places like STarbucks, movies, subway, chick fil a, etc so that when they are out with their friends they can just pull one or two out. There are so many fun ways to gift it. This was a huge hit.

Is he into sneakers. There are some design your own sites out there.

Is he into any type of sports or electronics or hobbies. There are a lot of personalization and customization options out there for different things he may be interested in.

A new smart phone. Teens are very into their phones. Perhaps your teen has had his current phone for awhile and ready / is eligible for an upgrade.

Another idea is to give him a couple of hundred $ worth of amazon gift cards and let him buy what he desires.

Also... A great stocking stuffer for a 15-16 year old boy is his first razor and a small can of shaving cream. That razor may not get used for awhile but your Son will be pleased with getting it. By the way, I have 4 boys and did gift the razor and shave cream to each.

For this age group I usually get a token gift and add cash.

People like cash more than gift cards.

Ds 16 asked for money, clothes, and gift cards. I may buy him a new pair of Bose headphones (his got stolen out of his backpack yesterday, he saved up to buy them $130.) He says he will just use his Christmas money and get a new pair. I'm going to buy them anyways.

Dd19 has only asked for the new Pokémon game. Yep that's it. She is really hard to buy for, she has autism and really only asks for a few My Little Pony toys every year. I plan on giving her a bunch of Disney gift cards for a surprise trip we are going in Feb.

I have not a clue what to get for my teen sons.

They have computers and the phones they want. They don't want anything else. They don't care about clothes, gift cards, or anything.

I think I will look to see if any interesting performances are coming to the area, and get them tickets.

My teens are all getting new phones as their big gift this year. The older two are getting recording equipment. The 15 year old is getting a Tenor Drum practice pad. This year was a little easier than usual.

My 16 year old is getting...

Smart TV for his room
Nike and Under Armour clothes...socks, sweatshirts
Shaving Kit
Large box of Slim Jims
Celtics Tickets
Candy
Xbox Games...NBA 2K15 and Grand Theft Auto
Taco Bell Gift Card
Crazy Winter Hat with Moose on it...his nickname is Moose
New Phone Case
Dress Clothes...Bowties....he is on Varsity Basketball and they dress up on game days

As another idea for you...I got mine a Soda Stream for his birthday for like $30. He LOVES it but only uses it when he has friends over since we don't drink a lot of soda. It was a bigger hit than we expected.

Hope this gives you some ideas.:)

My DS17 is getting the GoPro4 Silver. The Package my husband bought came with a large memory SD card and some kind of arm extender. He is going to love it!

The Christmas they remember most is the one they got their dog, and next would be the year they got a golf cart.

I tell them there is nothing left to get them!-good kids, but I think a bit spoiled! Next year may be plane tickets for all of us instead of the usual.

My ds 17 is getting an xbox1, fossil watch, north face hoodie, new phone, chrome cologne , and a gaming mouse! Am still looking for small ideas to wrap??
