Okay ... jumped the schedule ahead by a day. I was planning to drive to Portland tomorrow from Halifax, but with this awesome 13C weather, we left a day early. The drive was great! So I'm in Bangor tonight .... yes, at the Mall, shopping. Liquor prices here are cheap. Already bought my return to Halifax booze, plus some hotel beers (10.99 a dozen for Bud Light lime ... they are $24.00 at home!)

I booked the Best Western Whitehouse Inn, via Hotwire. Bangor is a difficult market to get a deal. But .... paid $93 in total. Room is okay. This is an older hotel, but in a quiet area.

Tomorrow, we hit Freeport (shopping) and then Kittery (shopping) and then Manchester's Mall of America (shopping). So if you see a guy at the Animal Kingdom Lodge that looks poor and needs some change ... take pity!

Great work getting a head start on your trip! I have to work today, then finish packing before our flight on Sat am. Going to be hard to concentrate at work! Have a great trip!

Pushing myself to get better and hope to be down there on Sunday at Animal Kingdom Lodge.
I'll look for the guy with multiple packages but who is also in need of a few dollars.Have fun!

Loved your post, gotta like a man that will shop in more than one place in 2 days, especially on the way to vacation. I can hardly wait to get some shopping done on our trip.

Today involved driving driving from Bangor to Manchester with the associated shopping sorties ... very tired already and well over budget for our daily spending plan. Oh well ...

I did have one tidbit that is interesting. I booked a reservation for a park and fly through trinity reservations. I felt like this was a bit of a gamble, since a night at the Holiday Inn Express for four plus 2 weeks of park and fly for a total of $98. Yes ... $98, plus Shuttle to and from the airport in Manchester. Plus, I last minute changed my over night date. I was spending the last night of the trip here, but since we left early, we need it changed to the beginning. They did the changes no problem .... very good service, very pleased.

Have to say, I'm very pleased with trinityreservations.com I would use them again for sure. All checked in for my flight tomorrow, with boarding pass and bag fees paid. Ready for our departure tomorrow!

We drove in every kind of weather possible today. Snow, sleet, hail, sunshine. Blah! What normally takes us 6.5 to 7 hours took us almost 9 today! Saw accidents, firetrucks, and ambulances! We finally made it, ate supper, swam and am heading to bed to catch our flight tomorrow! Safe travels, everyone!
