So this May will be the first time I travel to WDW with an iPhone. I already added a countdown app to my phone...but otherwise I know little about apps but would like to know what the best WDW apps are? I am especially interested in apps for line wait times and FP availability / return times - if these even exist? Any suggestions? Are there any DVC apps? :confused3

Thanks!

I have WDW Lines (as mentioned above), Hidden Mickeys app, WDW Dining App, D Point (D Point is the DVC planning app which is awesome!) I also have the WDW-ADvisor which helps compare ticket options. Hope this helps!! :)

If you add the WDW mobile website to your desktop as an icon (http://m.disneyworld.go.com/), it is pretty much the same thing as the Verizon Mobile Magic app.

Interesting. Nice find! I had never happened upon that. Thanks! The wait times are kinda vague though. "Moderate" and "High Demand" really doesn't tell us very much. Neither does FP "Available" or "Not Available."

I had always been envious of the Verizon app since I'm on AT&T, but if it's as vague as the mobile site is, I'm not very envious anymore and thanks for pointing that out to me too. LOL

I find Lines (though only publically and volunteerily supported) to be fairly accurate and it lists in minutes. Though not as accurate and up-to-date sometimes, it also lists FP return times as currently posted.

We like WDW Dining. It uses GPS to guide you to dining options near you, or if you want a soft pretzel, you can choose that and it will tell you where the nearest place to get one, based on your location. It also can store your dining reservation numbers, although I wish there was a way to enter the data on the desktop and have it transfer to the phone.

WDW Times is a pretty decent times guide.

The Undercover Tourist app by Phunware works reasonably well and has wait times, park hours and dining info.

We have WDW Lines by Touring plans. We have not used it at the parks yet.

There is also a Hidden Mickey app, which can be fun. We are usually too busy racing around the park to stop and use this one.

Not a WDW app, but Gowalla has a lot of fun "stickers" for park location check-ins.

I use DVC Planner to calculate points. WDW Maps is somewhat useful. Where in Disney World is a fun game that asks you to ID attractions/locations based on detail photos.

I'm a geek. I admit it. I use my iPhone or iPad for everything. We just returned from a WDW trip. My DD9 and I used apps a lot.

TWiz is an app that will tell you different ways to get from Point A to Point B using Disney Transportation. ($1.99)

Disney World this one tells you wait times but lets you also track members of your party if you separate. (Free)

WDW Lines is from Touring Plans. Great app, we love it. (Free but there is a subscription)

Magic Guide this is a MUST have. This app combines several other apps. It has Wait Times and Park Hours but the best part is that it has Dining with menus and prices for every restaurant on property. Essential. ($4.99)

eTicket Great for posting on this forum while you are in the parks. A bit pricy. ($5.99)

So, thanks to all your advice I added six new apps over the weekend:

WDW Lines - I already had a subscription to Touring Plans so this was a no-brainer, I think this will be my favorite app becuase it has the wait times and FP return times!

D-Point - for quick DVC calculations

WDW Dining - I bought this before I bought Magic Guide - I think this entire app is contained within Magic Guide so no point having both but I didn't realize that when I bought it.

Magic Guide - I love the full restaurant menus. I also like the detailed map which shows wait times. The one thing that seems to be missing is FP availability / return times.

Diz Quiz and Where in WDW - I bought just for fun.

I could not find Undercover Tourist or Twiz?? But I have enough to get me started and have some fun while I countdown to our May trip.

Thanks again for all your suggestions!!!

I just used Mobile Magic 2 weeks ago on my iphone through Verizon and was extremely impressed once I figured out how to enable location services. It will give you very detailed info once it knows/senses you are in one of the parks. I heard that it will soon be available for non Verizon users too.

For just fun, try the Small World app by Disney. $5 but very neat. We don't even have children and I thought it was neat. I guess if you don't like the song it wouldn't be worth it.
