Well I was wondering if People Like or Dislike Tear Jerkers.. Chick Flicks.. Mushy Movies... or whatever else you call them...

For Me... I Totally Love Them....
Steel Magnolias
Step MoM

Those are 2 of my ALL time Favorite Chick Flicks.. I cry like a Baby evey time I watch them

I'm always Looking for Life Time Television For Women :sad1:
Bottle of Water and a Box of Tissues and I'm set to Watch
maybe some Icecream duing the commercial

HA...at firsst I thought you meant tear jerkers like the candy. It's obviously getting close to my bed time.

Anyway, I voted so-so. I'm more of an action adventure type a gal myself. Love a good chick flick every now and then but def not usually my first choice.

Depends who I'm with. I like to cry all alone.:sad1:

aaahh found it.... my answer was other.. it really depends on my stress level on that day :thumbsup2

I like them sometimes. It's weird, if "Terms of Endearment" comes on TV, I *have* to stop and watch it, no matter where it is in the story at the time. I've seen that movie so many times and it's so sad, but good. :sad1:

I like to watch them when I'm all alone and feeling blue. I get a good cry, then move on with my day. Beaches, My Life, or Stepmom, or The Notebook... all guaranteed a cry.

As a rule, I prefer comedies or something action packed, though.

I love tearjerkers!!

I have to ask though, am I the only one who didn't cry during "The Notebook?"

Nope.....I didn't either. I'm not going to say I didn't like the movie, but it's not up there with my favorites. I saw it once but I won't buy it on DVD or choose to watch it again like I would Term of Endearment or Steel Magnolias. I don't think I got into the characters enough to make it *real* for me.

Terms of Endearment and Steel Magnolias are the two movies that make me cry like a baby...but if I'm flipping channels and see either one, I watch it anyway...:confused3

A Walk to Remember and The Notebook both make me cry. A good cry = a good sleep.

ETA: Another one to add... 8 Seconds

Yes, I love a good tearjerker add a melancholy song and I'm a blubbering crybaby. Love it. ;)

I'll add some to those already mentioned:

Edward Scissorhands
Old Yeller
Phenomenon
Mask (with Cher not Jim Carrey)
Ghost

We can't watch that one anymore. It just tears us up (DH too, that is one he watches and gets all teary too)

Every once in a while I like them, but normally, they're just too sappy for me.

I don't mind a good tear jerker as long as it has a happy ending.

I didn't. I guess I'm odd because I didn't think the ending was sad at all. I found it very happy and uplifting in a bittersweet sort of way.
