No!!!! I can't believe the ride is almost over:sad1: . Can't wait now to try the slushes. My DM and myself LOVE  Grand Marnier and my DH loves Gray Goose. Can't wait to see how you liked Kona Cafe.......popcorn::

Good ole Fish & chips from the UK, you'll have to try them on your next trip :thumbsup2 . You'd have been right at home eating fish & chips in the rain.!!..:rotfl2:. Looking forward to reading about your last day at Hollywood Studios, but also sad that this trip report is coming to an end.:sad2:

Alan that food looked great, especially your wifes chicken dish and the profiteroles:thumbsup2 ,and you turning down dessert again :confused3 .Oh yes you have to try good ole' British fish+chips next time,i am sure you won't be disappointed :goodvibes .I can't believe your trip report is coming to an end :( ,please hurry up+go back again so i can have another great report to read :) .x.

:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Great Updates! I am so glad your DD started feeling better and you and your DS looked like you had a BLAST at BB!:cool1: YOur pictures are great! I am glad you liked Tutto. Unfortunately we did not have a GREAT experience there because of some of the things you mentioned. It was VERY crowded and our server was just plain INATTENTIVE and our food was served warm not hot! That is the GREAT thing about Disney, it caters to all different types of likes and dislikes! I am sad you TR is coming to an end, I have really enjoyed it!:goodvibes

la la la la la la la la la. I refuse to believe or listen to the fact that your trip report is almost finished!!!!!!!!!
LOL just kidding! You are so great at telling us about your adventures! I am so happy you shared all of your memories with us!!
Looking forward to a last FULL day!!!!

For you Alan:

True to life UK then:rotfl2:

:lmao: :lmao: that was exactly what I was thinking... good old UK!! haha

Glad your DW loved the restaurant (the name has completely slipped my mind right now, I'll go back and read it in a minute!) the food looked fantastic!!!
Shame you missed Illuminations, but as you say, there's always next time!! :thumbsup2

Ourplan is to go next May also!! Our very first trip was late Aprilinto May and DD loved that time frame .My job however makes it hard to be gone on the 1st of the month I will need to wait a couple of days! But we want to avoid Easter week so May it is !! When our plans are firmed up later this year I will start a PTR!!

Yes, you want to avoid Easter, Spring Break, and Memorial Day weekend if possible. Our last day was on the Friday prior to Memorial Day...and it was really starting to get crowded. I LOVED going in May, and it would be hard to convince me to go any other time!

Do you remember if they had the family dinner at Tutto Italia? If so, could you have ordered it on the dining plan? I can't seem to get an answer about this. I call every day to get a reservation here during our next trip, nothing yet. The food looks very good.

I don't know if they do a family-style dinner at Tutto Italia, but now that you mention it, it does seem like I've seen that somewhere before...and I think it WAS on the dining plan.

Great update!!! Glad to hear that you liked Tutto Italia, your DW meal looked delicious!! I may have to order this. I can't believe that your report is coming to an end, I have enjoyed it so much. Can't wait to read about your last full day.

Melissa

Thanks, Melissa! We DID enjoy Tutto Italia! There will still be several more installments...so stay tuned!

Nice update, Alan! I feel pretty sad though because your TR is almost coming to an end! :( Oh well, to make up for it you'll just have to go on more WDW vacations! ::yes::

Hi Figment's Friend! If I have to go back to WDW to do another trip report, then I guess I must! :rotfl2: I wouldn't want to let anyone down!

another great couple of days:goodvibes
sounds like you had great fun at Blizzard beach and wow those Profiterolles look fantastic just made a little note to myself to rember to order these ::yes::

Thanks, Rachel! I'm not even a dessert fan....but I've got to say those profiterolles were amazing.

True to life UK then:rotfl2:

Hahaha....hilarious post! I LOVE the U.K. and have always considered myself a bit of an Anglofile.

Mmm...profiteroles...that alone would be enough for me to go there! I have heard nothing but great things about Tutto Italia and will have to try it on a future trip. And I am also going to try a grey goose slush when we go this year. I had read about the two slushes in multiple TR's before the SB special and everyone says they're yummy! It's amazing how much food advice you get on here! Helps you choose between the hundreds of options! Also, I just happened upon an Unwrapped special on Disney world on the Food Network last night. I don't think it's that recent since they called DHS MGM, but it was good if you want to learn a little about the behind-the-scenes stuff. Great update and I can't believe it's almost over!

~Beka~

Hi Beka! Those slushes were awesome. I thought $8 was very reasonable also.

I will look for that Unwrapped special....I haven't seen that one yet.

No!!!! I can't believe the ride is almost over:sad1: . Can't wait now to try the slushes. My DM and myself LOVE  Grand Marnier and my DH loves Gray Goose. Can't wait to see how you liked Kona Cafe.......popcorn::

Hi Marianne! You GOTTA try the slushes....YUM! The Grey Goose was good, but I like the Grand Marnier better.

I absolutely LOVE Fish & Chips! I really wanted to eat at Rose & Crown one night, but ended up compromising. There's just SO many great restaurants and so little time! It was hard to choose only 7 dinners! I do think we made some great choices, though.

Next trip, I WILL be going to Rose & Crown for the Fish & Chips and a Yard-long Bass on draft. :goodvibes

Hi, x! I started feeling really badly that I wasn't ordering desserts, especially since they were already paid for with the Deluxe Dining Plan....but I swear, I was SOOO stuffed! Being from the U.K., I'm sure you're probably familiar with the Monty Python skit about the guy in the restaurant that "can't eat another bloody bite...not even one thin mint." I felt like that guy! :rotfl:

Thank you VERY much Linseynleah! I've actually got about 7 more installments to go, so we're not done yet!

Thanks very much! DW & I enjoyed your trip report VERY much! I had posted you about my concerns about Tutto & you actually encouraged me to not cancel my reservations based on your experience. I really appreciated that! You were definitely right about it being crowded and the service was very slow. However, our food came out fresh and delicious...and of course that made all the difference! :thumbsup2

You are SO right about how Disney caters to so many things. I went to the allears site to read the reviews of Hollywood & Vine, which I absolutely hated, and apparently many people really like it!

la la la la la la la la la. I refuse to believe or listen to the fact that your trip report is almost finished!!!!!!!!!

Hahaha, SunnieRN! You can take your fingers out of your ears and listen for a moment....WE STILL HAVE ABOUT 7 or 8 MORE INSTALLMENTS! The fun isn't over yet! :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

No, dont tell me its over already! :faint:

Hey lazidazi07! We've still got plenty of Disney fun left on the last day!

No, dont tell me its over already! :faint:

Awww....thank you SO much! Being a Dad is the biggest blessing in my life.

For you Alan:

I think it's great that so many of the posters on this thread are from the U.K.! You guys rock!

Yes, we'll definitely catch IllumiNations next time. My plan is to do the Epcot World Showcase as our first park next time, and stay until the end.

Happy Father's Day, Alan. Spent half the day at the hospital visiting my dad and came home to catch up on your report and anxiously await your last installment. It is making me excited all over again about our upcoming trip.

Goodness you have been busy since I was last on here. We are back from our trip and I miss Disney already, but truth be told I was dead tired and actually ready to leave by the end of the trip. Only gone 8 days and I had almost 30 pages to catch up on. Whoo! You have become a celebrity! It is almost as sad to see your trip end as it was to see my own end.
Once I get all my recipts together I will relive what we did there and try to make a report of my own. In the mean time I will continue to live through your trip!

Thanks, Kathy & Mark! Sorry to hear that your dad is in the hospital, but I'm glad you got to visit today. I actually have another 7 or 8 installments left for our last day.

Welcome home, Michelle & Aaron! I know how you feel about being tired!

A celebrity? :rotfl2: :cool1: That's TOO funny! Thanks very much, and I'm glad you are enjoying my report. More to come.

Our last day at Disney had arrived. DW & I got up really early to load our vehicle and check out from Coronado Springs Resort.

DW, DS & I had bought t-shirts at the Eagles concert on Day 1, and we saved them to wear on our last day at Disney World!

After packing up the van, we were off to Disney's Hollywood Studios. DS & I got to sample the park on Day 5, but the this was the first time the girls had been to DHS. It was sprinkling a little early, but soon cleared up and got really hot.

It was an Extra Magic Hour morning at Disney's Hollywood Studios. We arrived shortly after rope drop about 8:05am.

DS & I headed down Sunset Blvd to ride "the big two"....Rock 'N Roller Coaster and the Hollywood Tower of Terror. The standby line was really short at Rock 'N Roller Coaster, so we hopped on.

When we got off, we went ahead and got fastpasses to ride again later, then we headed to the Tower of Terror. The standby line was about 20 minutes.

While we were in line for Tower of Terror, my cell phone was ringing. I answered and it was DW. She said, "Hey, where are y'all?" I said, "We're about to get on Tower of Terror." She said, "Well hurry up! Toy Story Mania is open and we've already ridden twice!"

Needless to say, DS & I had a blast riding Tower of Terror...then we headed straight over to the Toy Story Midway Mania ride! If you recall, the cast member on Day 5 had sort of hinted to me that there would be some "preview days" prior to its official opening on May 31st. Today was one of them!

This ride is AMAZING!! We loved Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin at Magic Kingdom....but this is WAY better! The was DD and DW's favorite ride at ANY PARK all week long.

Mr. Potato Head was awesome! It was like a real-time animatronic comedy show. He was calling out people in the que lines and joking with them.

DS & I ended up riding three straight times, and DW & DD rode 5 times! What a great way to start a day at Disney Hollywood Studios! In the first two hours at the park, I had ridden Rock 'N Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, and Toy Story Midway Mania three times!

Next installment - Disney Hollywood Studios, part II

Great Pics of Toy Story Mania. Glad to hear how much you liked this. I love Buzz Lightyear and you say this is even better. Woo hoo can't wait to ride it!!!

Cool pictures of the Toy Story ride. :thumbsup2 I haven't seen any pictures of the queue or the building. It looks like a lot of fun!

I was wondering right before I started reading your latest update if you were going to ride Toy Story Mania on your last day! :cool1: I can't wait to ride it this December, looks fun. Enjoying everything, Alan!

wow you got to ride TSM! It looks fantastic, not looking forward to the queue length when we go though! What a great ride to do on your last day!
Looking forward to the second half!!
