Team Hakuna Matata; Masters of the Holidays!

:wave2: TEAM!

Vicky -
Lynn - Oooh snow We usually don't get any until closer to Christmas. Since I'm training this year, I'm hoping for a green Christmas.
ME TOO! :goodvibes

Hope to get to the gym tonight :upsidedow

Another beautiful fall day here, but colder air is supposed to start coming in tomorrow.

Vicky and Margie, green is popular right now......:lmao:

Hi Everyone!

We are supposed to have some nasty weather next week. :eeyore:

Vicki - I am still doing passive exercises on my arm and shoulders. It makes doing very many stretches and weight resistance really difficult! But I am doing my best and accomplishing quite alot. I can raise my arm all the way straight using the pulley. I can lift it straight up from my chest in a lying postion, I am working on hand tension balls (I have graduated to a harder one!), using a broom stick I move my forearm out while keep my elbow bent and to my side (I can nearly touch the floor!), and I do wrist curls. I am also doing ball crunches because I can fold my arms over my chest to do that kind of ab work.

Okay, I am off......see ya later!

Quick break in hte action here at work, mega busy, got home last night about 7:00.

Very windy here , gust predicted to 60MPH, snowed last night so there was a dusting on the ground it is gone now. I did 3 miles on the TM, man was I bored after 5min.

Lynn is oqrking hard on getting stuff together for the Grand Opening of the AC here in WY on 11/12.

We will be driving to Missouri to see my folks this weekend, so no time fro getting stuff together this weekend. We will have Tuesday off. Speaking of which, an early thank you to our Veterans,

Better get back at it. I hate computers......

Still at -3, that's ok.

Hi guys.

Wow, getting a workout in again after a couple of weeks recovering from a cold is awesome. I lost a bit of fitness but it couldn't be helped.

I managed 3 miles the last mile at a 12 mpm pace. My body wasn't wanting any more so I quit there did my cool down lap and then a good stretching routine before weights.

I can't believe it's so close to Disney time again. Erica and I are doing just the marathon this time.

Have a restful evening y'all.

Workout Panda:hippie:

Very windy here, 50-60MPH, tied down the garbage can as I sat it out this morn, busy at work, and trying to get the house together before we head to MO.

Better get back to work many reports to write, computers to check etc etc etc.

Good Morning, Team.

I'm at work doing the quick fly by. I miss daylight savings time. It's dark going to work & dark coming home from work.

For November we are having great weather. I'm still running in ss shirt & shorts. Can't complain.

Have a great Thursday....Sue

Good Morning Team!

As Scott said - very windy here, temp 29 degrees, wind chill is 2 below 0! Wind gusting to 68mph, sustained 35-45, depending on when I look at the weather station. Today on the local news, someone called in and asked the weatherman to issue a "small dog advisory". Mine won't even go outside unless they have to, then they are back at the door to come in as soon as their business is done!

Connie - it sounds like you are coming along quite nicely. I know Scott was always excited when he could reach up a little higher.

I think today will be a rest day - I need to work on curtains for the basement (we are using a big curtain -actually 2 curtains - to separate the TV area from the bar area, and I am making them), then need to clean out the truck for the weekend journey to Missouri. Tomorrow will be house cleaning, getting dogs to kennel, and packing up the truck for the trip.

Have a great day team!

:wave2: TEAM!

Connie - Way To Go! :goodvibes

Went to the gym this morning - just an hour on the incumbent bike - 21 miles so I will need to go back tonight for the upper body weight workout. As soon as I post Hagen and I are going out for a short slow walk. I still am a bit nervous about restarting the lower body workouts. :upsidedow

Halloween Candy - NO more Baby Ruth's available, so now its back on the Will Power Training. It's BAD, I enjoyed every one of them, and I am not even sorry. :rolleyes1

Another beautiful fall day! :cloud9:

Good morning everyone! I ran about 2.25 miles last night - they were intervals and a lot harder than I thought. The fastest I was able to run a single 400 m lap was 2:06. I was hoping to be able to jog in between intervals but I ended up walking. I'm back out tonight for another 3 miler.

Sue - I don't think I like this whole Daylight Savings time. I'd rather have the extra daylight at the end of the day. But running in shorts and a t-shirt is nice.

Lynn - I laughed at the "small dog advisory"!

Scott - Have fun on your road trip this weekend!

Connie - Sounds like you're making great progress with the exercises! Oooh ball crunches - not my favourite. I'm not a fan of crunches or planks.

Dave - I have a feeling that November and December are going to fly by! I'm really looking forward to WDW :)

Margie - We're getting cooler weather tomorrow and on the weekend too.

Jen - Any word on your final interview?

Eva, Kathy, Kim, Anne, Diane and everyone else - :wave2:

Ok, that's all for now! Have a great day everyone!!

Good morning team.

My walker buds showed up for the first group walk scheduled after the ToT adventure. It was great to get out in the morning sun again and the walk went really fast. We did a good brisk 4 miles and even if it was 38 degrees it felt warmer.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone in January also.

Well Panda:hippie:

Howdy, just a min to post a picture of Mark and I in front of Miranda’s wedding quilt. Sorry you can’t see the quilt that much but you can see how big it is and why it took so much time to get it done.

You can tell by the picture, we were relaxed, the night was almost over and we were 2 happy people!

Miranda didn't want me in a blue flowing thing, I don't think she had to worry!

Wow, Denise you are really shaping up there lady. Keep doing what your doing it's working.:thumbsup2

From listening to the news it seems we are going to get another economic stimulas check, KEWL, more Disney money. I guess that is to make us feel good before the bad news at tax time.

Is everyone ready for the countdown to January?

Good Morning team!

Still windy and cold, but neither as extreme as yesterday, wind down to 25 mph, temp up to 35 degrees. Never even left house yesterday, but did get some of my projects in the basement done. Today is packing up for weekend trip (it is amazing how much time it takes to put together a weekend trip!), cleaning the house, and maybe getting in a short dog walk. I did finish the curtains yesterday, but did not get any house cleaning done!

Denise - nice quilt!

No Dave, I am not ready for countdown to Jan - I need more time!!!!

Have a great day everyone!

Happy Friday everyone! Just a quick drive-by... I went for 3 miler yesterday. It was still warm enough for shorts and a t-shirt. Yay! Today's my rest day so I'll get out tonight and run errands do grocery shopping... yeah, I've become boring.

Dave - Definitely ready for January! Bring it on :)

Denise - That is a gorgeous quilt! Not sure what the blue flowing thing would have looked like but I love your dress!

Everyone else - :wave2: Have a great weekend!

:wave2: TEAM!

Denise, beautiful memory - legacy quilt. I sooooo like the romantic, historic, family legacy that you are preserving & passing on.

Enjoying another beautiful fall day-sunny 59 degrees … but they tells us it will not last long – winter is on the way. It shows showers in our forecast, but does not say ‘snow.’ :confused3

Busy morning - short session at the gym – 12 miles on the recumbent bike. SIL had to drop the van off for brakes so Hagen & I took him to work, then off for my flu shot. Does anyone get the pneumonia shot? Nurse Erica what are your thoughts?

The ankle is still a bit of a challenge, but I did manage to get in 9.7 walking miles and 43 miles on the bike this week. :goodvibes

Gas prices are still dropping today as of this morning it is getting close to going under $2.00 a gallon - at $2.00 - $2.04 :cool1:

Have a Great WeekendTEAM...Connie, Dave, Erica, Denise, Jennifer, Jen,
Vicky, Eva, Kathy, Kim, Anne, Diane, Scott, Lynn, and Sue...Sorry if I missed anyone. :goodvibes

Denise, you look gorgeous

I did a quick 3 miles this afternoon in 24:15. Weather has been icky this week.

I'm getting ready to head to the opera with some friends. I hear back about the interview a week from Monday (November 17).

Best,
Jennifer

Thank you Margie.

I had the best workout today. I'm been feeling with this cold but this morning the Panda was back and dressed in black with a new "Hell Yeah" attitude. I walked 3 miles and started the last at a 12 mpm pace but it felt to slow so I kicked up the tready speed to 10 mpm pace.

Then I had a super nose to toes weight workout. I had suffered for years with an achillies problem but I started today doing calf raises with weight. I have been doing calf and shin raises with just body weight for a couple of months yet.

I still had some energy after the weights so I did some pool sprints. After I got home I refuled with a pound of steamed fish and veggies.

Margie, Erica gets a flu shot because her work requires it. I don't and never have a problem catching the flu. This cold I just got over was the first in a couple of years and a result of being on vacation and not eating properly and drinking to much beer and generally having to much fun. I blame Robert for the to much beer and I blame Mickey Mouse for the fun food.

Connie, how are you feeling today captain?

Power Panda:hippie:

Honestly, if it wasn't for this team thing, I would not have worked out tonight.

Busy week at work and just back from my trip but I know miles are needed so with Mark working late, I got on the treadmill. It's just to dark for me to go out alone. I did 6 miles on that darn thing. Boy it was hard! So different than the street. It took a lot of minutes too but I did have a donut today at work and some cake for a co-worker's birthday so I really needed to shed some excess water and I sure did!

I have been craving this particular donut for quite a while and our route takes us above the Dunkin Donuts that has the bakery in it so the aroma waifs up the hill to where we are. It's all I smell between mile 3-4. One of the company reps came in with a box of joe and some donuts and muffins. Well - that donut I've been craving was in the box, oh ya, I grabbed that sucker and ate it at break. It was finger licking good too! Just about licked the plate! Normally I'm pretty good about sweets and resisting temptation but today, it was all out the window and onto my thighs!:guilty:

Ah well the workout did help diffuse some of that.

Off to the chair now and rest till the man comes home for dinner, he can have pizza and I have a lettuce leaf....... well maybe not!

Enjoy you night.

denise

We saw your picture there Denise, don't thnk a slice of pizza is gotta hurt you.

I had an icecream craving myself today so I picked up a pint of rasberry chocolate chunk on the way home from work. Yum.
