Hey Team! Great Job on the miles and minutes!

Again, thanks to everyone who have so generously shared their minutes with me. I will begin to accumulate my own so that we have even more than before. My full recovery is still months away, but I am beginning training for a half marathon and incorporating as much stretching and all of Phyiscal therapy exercise into my workout program.

Reporting dates are:

November 7th; 14th; 21st and 30th.

We're in the final stretch folks! Let's all get moving together! The Holidays are coming and it may be the MOST important time of year to be our best!

:cheer2:

Checking in here.

Want to drop 20 lbs by January so today is -0, will report daily as I can.

Weights for Lynn and I tonight.

Windy and Cold here in Cheyenne.

Good morning y'all.

I don't need to lose any more weight, I'm about where I need to be. I could always use a little more muscle but weight wise I'm ok.

I do need to get back to training, maybe later today, I'm having my first day off since vacation and lots of chores looming. I'm hoping the yard work is done for the year, it was fun and good for training but I had enouth yard fun.

Connie I hope you are feeling better, we need our little captain and cheer leader happy and feeling fine.

Scott you should do fine with your weight goals, you are very dedicated.

Have a great day team.

Good morning everyone! I can't believe it's November already! How many weeks are we away from the 1/2 and marathon in January. I can't wait!!

Ran 9 miles over the weekend but kept the pace slow - about 11-11:30 because of the piriformis. I think it's getting better but I still notice it when I run so I'm worried about pushing too hard and taking myself out completely.

The weather is suppose to be warmer this week but because of daylight savings, I'll probably be running in the dark. So maybe I'll end up running faster anyway because running at night makes me a little paranoid.

Scott - I'm hoping to lose some weight before January as well. I put myself down for a small when I selected my shirt size. That was before I knew how running shirts fit :)

Dave - How's the new puppy doing?

Eva - Congratulations!! I totally skipped over the part in your post about the baby. It's hard to read at work when you have to keep opening and closing the window ;)

Connie - Hope you're doing better!! I will get my miles to you later tonight.

Make it a great day everyone!

Good Morning Team!

I have not yet caught up from vacation, but saw the new thread, so decided to start here, will need to catch up to see what everyone is doing!

Connie, will get miles posted to you from our vacation!

May need to add more late when I catch up on the thread!

Not too bad here now, wind has calmed down a bit - really windy last night - and the sun is shining, will get worse in the next two days, need to get prepared for winter walking!

Have a great day!

OK, now I am caught up, not too many pages to read!

Dave - I forgot to ask about Ayla, how is she? Is she responding to antibiotics?

Congrats on races and training and weddings and all other happenings in the past 2 weeks!!!

Crunkyjens - sorry we did not get to meet you - maybe next time! For our first race, we just had to go up to people in green shirts and introduce ourselves, as we did not have the shirts to identify ourselves yet.

Again, everyone have a great day!

The puppy is a terror, teething and chewing like it's on a mission. The big Choc Ayla is doing real good, she is back to normal and is shell shocked by the big sister responsibilities.

I have done housework all day, cleaned bathrooms, vacuumed and mopped floors, loads of wash, ect... That is the extent of my working out though.

Everyone remember to vote in the morning.

What a busy 10 days we've had. Family, friends, a wedding, 3 days of recovery then off to Houston for the International Quilt Festival. It was a perfect way to end months of craziness in getting ready for the wedding. To say I was exhausted is an understatement. I slept most of the way on the plane to Houston. I slept every night like a rock. The Hilton of the America's is quite quiet even tho it was full of quilters.

We learned lots of new tricks and tips, dropped some serious cash and had a fab time. Mark visited with his cowboy friend in Houston and I met up with a lot of quilt friends too.

Miranda is back from Disney - she arrived Sunday night at 11:30 so I had to go back to the airport to pick them up. It was a tough day at work yesterday but I managed.

Mark and I were up with the crows to go vote, our polls open at 6 and there had to be well over 100 in line ahead of us at 5:50 waiting for the doors to open.

I hope to get back to walking tonight with Mark. It's suppose to be mild here today so it should be ok. We do go by some voting places on our route so the traffic might be heavy - may have to adjust our route accordingly.

All in all it was a great 12 days but my life - back to normal - is a blessing.

Have a good one all, I read alot about your TOT adventures and saw some pictures on Robert's site - looks like it was a lot of fun.

Good morning team!

Well, I am diving into a training program this week. It will be a slow go at first, but gotta get in there and challenge myself.

Dave, the puppy will get through this, hope you do too!

I will be cleaning and mopping. Some chores are so difficult it takes a firm grit of the teeth to get through them. And later, I will walk to my polling place and vote!

Morning Team, morning run done and here at work with a bunch on my plate.

I voted a couple of weeks ago as I never know if I will be around on election day.

Weight loss -3 and counting.

Have a good one, and DO VOTE!!!! it is a great privilige.

Guess I'm the last one to return. Had a great time and really didn't want to come home. Went on our first Wonder cruise. WOW! Couldn't dock at Castaway on Tues. but made it on Wed. We did the jetski excursion. What a blast. Running on the ship was cool also. Couldn't get my garmin to work but my husband's did. A 3 mile run on the ship recorded as a 5.5 mile run in 30 minutes. Can't wait to upload to the computer to see the mapping.

Very pleased with TOT. My goal was to finish under 1:20. My chip time 1:19:24. Would have liked to have been quicker but found the start & the gravel path by wwos to be very congested. Arrived just in time for the start (got to love the walk over from boardwalk) and didn't get the chance to meet anyone.

Time to get caught up. Hope everyone is well & staying injury free.
Have a great Tuesday......Sue

Good morning guys.

Denise we missed you dear. So glad to hear that everything went together like it was supposed to. But with you riding herd over everything it had to go smoothly.

Connie, glad you are feeling more positive about eventual recovery. You can do this princess.

Wilber, we need to do a cruise sometime, Scott and Lynn cruise often and they say it's just the best.

Hey Margie, are you getting snow yet?

We voted this morning and even though we got there early we had a long wait, then we had to follow a backhoe on the way home.

Have a super day everyone.

Morning team! I went for my training session last night and told my PT I'd gained some weight. I think he was hoping that it was just water retention but I explained that I had some shirts and jackets that were now too tight :headache: He looked a little disappointed and asked what happened because I had been doing really well before. That was really embarassing. So now... I have to keep a food journal which he's going to be checking. Yikes!

Dave - Your puppy description is cute! Even though I know a teething pup is far from that...

Sue - Welcome back! Congrats on your ToT time! Is it hard running on the ship? I always wondered if it was slightly lopsided (I've never been on a cruise before).

Scott - Congrats on the weight loss!!

Denise - That's a lot of people but I guess they're voting before work. I think the US election is getting more coverage here than the Canadian election did a couple of weeks ago

Lynn - We have a couple days of warm weather here and then it's suppose to cool down on the weekend. I'm not looking forward to the winter weather. Brr!!

Connie - What kind of exercises will you be doing as part of your training program?

Have a great day everyone!!

Good Morning Team!

Denise - glad that you are back with us!

Sue - Sorry we missed you at the TOT, sounds like you had a good race! We always use Nike I-PODS on the ship, it is more accurate than a Garmin, if you can even get the Garmin to work! Before I got the Nike I-POD, I used the Garmin just to count laps, but I had to remember to push the lap button each time I passed the same place. If I was walking with anyone else, that was sometimes hard to remember.

Dave - glad to hear that Ayla is doing fine! Take the puppy for long walks, it tires them out and they do not have as much energy to be destructive - I speak from experience!!!!

Scott just called me to say that his co-workers said that voting lines are really long, my plan was to go in after the morning walk - after the "before work" voters and before the "lunch time" voters, hopefully I will avoid the long lines. This will be the first time since we moved here 2 yrs ago that I will vote at my designated voting place - usually I will go into the courthouse and vote early.

Connie - good luck with the training program - Scott and I are also starting up the weight program - better late than never!

Have a great day team!

Hi all!

It is once again a gorgeous day in Massachusetts!

I went for an early morning run and did 5k in 25:50, so about an 8:20 pace.

I also got to vote in a Presidential election for the first time!

Best,
Jennifer

Sue, to bad we didn't get to meet up at TOT or boardwalk. Yes aren't cruises fun, we got a couple booked for 09 and 2010.

Jennifer, you are burning up the trail, keep it up.

Back to work.

Good Morning Team!

Got in a good 5 mile walk yesterday, it was a decent pace and I felt good, think I am getting back my high altitude conditioning!

Today is cold with snow on the ground, will need to get out before the high winds start later this morning! It is going to be ugly the next 3 days! We shouldn't get much more snow, but it will be cold and windy!

Have a great day team!

Good Morning team!

I started to post from home this morning but got sidetracked. Mark and I went out for 4 miles last night in the dark. We had our reflective vests and flashing lights attached so drivers could see us.

We walk fast but not our usual power walking technique since I have a hard time seeing the ground at night, we do have a lot of uneven surfaces and lord knows, I have fallen down in the past so it’s the last thing I want to do.

The temp was perfect for walking and it did serve to clear my head. I was in bed at 8:15 last night. I figured the president would be elected even if I wasn’t around to see it happen and of course it did. I did sleep all night too. The fresh air and simple exhaustion does make for a good nights sleep. Maybe having the stress of the wedding over is a contributing factor too.

We’re happy that our lives can be back to normal and enjoy our quiet time together.

Scott & Lynn – snow so early – how awful! Our ground isn’t frozen yet so even if we do get a few flakes, it won’t stay.

Dave, must see pics’ of the new puppy. I love dogs, I just don’t want to have one….the cats are too much work and they take care of themselves!

Have a good day – it appears that we will have good temps, even though we won’t have that much sun today.

Good morning everyone! I went out for a 3 mile run last night. I was trying to push for 10 m/m but ended up with 10:30 m/m instead. Not exactly what I wanted but I was able to run the entire distance continuously so I'm happy with that. I'm back out tonight for another run so I'm glad the temperature is still warmish.

Lynn - Oooh snow :( We usually don't get any until closer to Christmas. Since I'm training this year, I'm hoping for a green Christmas.

Denise - I have to learn how to go to sleep early. I have such a terrible schedule when it comes to sleep. I read an article that said some athletes get8-10 hours a night. I think I'm averaging 6-7.

That's all for now! Have a great day everyone!
