Pretty boring day for me so far, what have I done you ask? Well I slept and then I picked Erich up from school, thrilling I know!

Tomorrow will be fun though, I get to call up the college application centre to challenge their assessment of my American high school transcript. The program director says that is the only way they can consider me for the Nursing program. Oh joy, I can't wait to argue with somebody over whether or not I took Biology and Chemistry in high school.

Luckily I still have an application in for the Nursing program at my university which has a lot more experience dealing with international transcripts (and they already admitted me and gave me one degree so why not another right?) so hopefully I won't encounter any problems there.

I am so tired! I tried to take a nap and just as I fall out the cat starts meowing in my ear, so he lays down on me and I think I'm in the clear, then he jumps up and starts knocking things over! He's killing me!

I got a few applications this afternoon. Only a few were hiring at this moment, but it can't hurt to apply. I am going to scour the net for some other apps at some point today. I'm also trying to go through all my 2008 paper work and bills and stuff. Really exciting!

I'm not cooking for a while but I did all the prep work already, can ya tell i'm pretty bored today. LOL.

Finally had a shower and it's revived me for the moment, at least.

Weather still doesn't look good. I don't know. Sad... I just don't want to be missing another day of school.

Hopefully, at the worst we'll have delays, but get home tomorrow.

There's still some talk of a toy store shopping expedition, but I'm not sure that I'm necessary for that.

The weather forecast for later this week has temperatures that haven't been this low in 15 years. It's gonna get cold. I may ask Mickey for a job when I am there next month

Ok now the foot, pretty good news. There were 2 nerves that were something or other with a major muscle in the foot. Probably because my gait is so bad due to my collapsing ankles. Anywho, 2 extremely painful cortisone shots later and I should be ok by morning. I didn't get the shot in the other foot, I go back Thursday for a follow up and to start the round of shots that I was supposed to today.

Other pug news...Bonnie the petsitter called me at work to let me know I left the gate opened. Namath greeted her at the door, Rocky was sprawled out on the couch and their toys were everywhere.

So work was kinda crazy last night. The hospital administrators were going crazy getting the hospital ready for it's inspection . Plus it was a full moon last night so we were busy for quite awhile.

Then I get home and find that one of the cats Poo'd on my bed. She got punished by being outside in our terrace for 2hrs.

I spent waaaay too much time on FB this morning. Then went and spent waaaaay too much time on MySpace .

Finally took a nap and now catching up on other things.

Jen2 - my dad used to teach high school. He once told me that he would break up any boy fight that occurred, but wouldn't touch a girl fight. He said that boys would stop throwing punches when a teacher got involved, but that girls would continue biting, kicking and scratching no matter who was there. He decided he didn't get paid enough to do that.

The weather forecast for later this week has temperatures that haven't been this low in 15 years. It's gonna get cold. I may ask Mickey for a job when I am there next month.

They're predicting the artic blast here too! I think it's supposed to be -7 on Friday morning! That's the temp when the schools delay opening so that the kids aren't standing around outside in those temps!

Other pug news...Bonnie the petsitter called me at work to let me know I left the gate opened. Namath greeted her at the door, Rocky was sprawled out on the couch and their toys were everywhere.

That's hilarious, Mo. So, do you normally keep the boys penned up in the kitchen or someplace like that? We used to do that with Max when he was younger and I worked full time. Now, I'm home most of the time and when I am gone, it's usually for shorter periods of time.

Speaking of Max, he did fine at the vet this morning. We just did the next test in the long stream of things to determine exactly what we're dealing with. Basically, we're checking his liver function. They took some blood to run a bile acid test and then fed him his breakfast and then took more blood to run it again. The levels should be pretty low when he's fasted for more than 12 hours and be significantly higher after eating. So, we'll find out tomorrow or Wednesday exactly how well his liver is working. And what the next steps are.... probably an ultrasound and possible biopsy.

Otherwise, I had a busy day. Running errands all morning and then going to the Y to workout. Finished the laundry and now I'm ready to go to bed!

Evening all. Jimmy is in bed, I am in my jammies. I got home from work a little early so we played some games before bed. FIrst we played Rhino Rampage (3x) and then we played Nemo Memory Game. It was a nice relaxing evening. I'm going to go upstairs and read in a bit.

Started classes tonight and found out that two more of my classes are requiring observation hours on top of the student teaching hours. One class has me doing a two hour observation each week. I will squeeze this in on Friday mornings and the other class requires a 2-4 hour observation of a caregiver and infant. I still have two more classes I have not been to yet. I will see what they have me doing. Lucky for me I an student teaching in head start and will have easy access to any type of classroom I need for observations.

Just a fly-by to say Night Night!

Just got the boys into bed. We had eggs for dinner, then showers, Gus played his drums, SD his guitar and we watched Superstars of Dance. I'm wiped out after being up at 4 am.

I am really hoping that tonight is an even better night of sleep. The weather is about to get U.G.L.Y. here! They are predicting 5 in. of snow tonight, followed by below zero (zed for JO) temps and high winds! Then another 5 or more inches of snow on Wed. I'm NOT ready.

Bob called tonight to say that he won't be home on Wed. He had a last minute customer call and he'll be back on Thurs. now.

I'll talk to you guys tomorrow!
