Not till V's at the end of January!
WHICH we don't celebrate, so jsut forget you saw that people! :rolleyes1

It's my Anniversary... 22 years.... to the SAME MAN :confused3 :rotfl2:
Today? Or did I miss the what you were quoting?
V would make an excellent Dancer.. maybe Ribbons ??Instead of a Feature Twirler we'll have a feature Dancer... Unless you want a baton.. :idea: You can do both :goodvibes
Oooo, I looove ribbons! :teeth: No batons - wouldn't be safe. Trust V. :rolleyes:

OMG I hat that time of the month, not me but Jess :rotfl2: She is so grumpy it's ridiculous :sad2: She has hurt her foot and she wants to go to hospital, it's not swollen or bruised so I know they won't do anything for it :sad2: Every little thing just sets her off, how many years will this go on for? :rotfl2:

When she's 50:lmao:

My "boyfriend" is coming round tonight, you remember the one who David thought I was having an affair with :rotfl2: He wants to hear all about my WDW trip, David strangely is finishing work early tonight :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

How is David feeling Jo? Other than having to come home early tonight!:rolleyes:

Well... :rolleyes:
How do ya all feel about a little "Russian Rifle Twirl" just 1 bullet in 1 gun ... O.K...I MIGHT get the "regulation ones" but they are so light and not half as much fun

:scared1:

WHICH we don't celebrate, so jsut forget you saw that people! :rolleyes1

I said the same thing abou tmy birthday and it didn't matter:rolleyes1

Oooo, I looove ribbons! :teeth: No batons - wouldn't be safe. Trust V. :rolleyes:

Can't be any worse than loaded rifles:lmao:

Kno that was eharmony. I wasn't tehcnically "banned" but they suggested I was too picky and opinionated and should either change or look elsewhere. :rolleyes:

I know a guy ... lives in San Antonio right now.. never been married. No.. :sad2: he is not a Looker.... He really tried to date me in College.
He's a super super guy, that treats a lady like a queen. Spoils her, buys her stuff.. then they always leave him. He has been so used.

He's a smaller guy. At one point in his life he thought about being a jockey( obviously he was in Ky ) . He wants the great looking girl... but they never stay.

He would love ya V.. but he is not handsome. Texas is warm...:rolleyes1 You would be close to Dawn;)
Besdies... you hate Disney right now :rolleyes:

My "boyfriend" is coming round tonight, you remember the one who David thought I was having an affair with :rotfl2: He wants to hear all about my WDW trip, David strangely is finishing work early tonight :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

How strange! :rotfl:

****************************************************
So, D was just finishing deciding that he wasn't going to go to the office today, but would have to go tomorrow, when the phone rang and he's got a trip to Philly tonight! ;)

The porch guy called and said he had to take his son to the ortho down in Mass. because the local office has no power, but then called back to say he can come after all. But he was supposed to be here at 2:00, but by the time we were able to connect, he can't be here until 3:00. So, I have to wait around for a while, then I'm taking the boys to get the book that they each need for the school party.

I did just hear from the other room mom. She's one of the ones without power, but she's heard from a couple of people who want to bake, and we'll just throw together the rest. It will be fine. We'll see what happens with the teacher gifts, but that's not the biggest deal.

So we're moving on... I've now showered and hope that we can get the rest of today done pretty quickly.

I'll be back later!

We started a marching band and we still have lots of openings.

:laughing: I saw that, loving the outfits too.

And, since I need to postpone school for a year, I think I might try - GASP! - dating again. Ugh, is it bad that I'm dreading the prospect?!

:faint: It's tough out there V! Apparently all the good men are in the North. :rolleyes:

oooh! Jen's getting a sex change after Christmas, so possibly you could date her/him.

:rotfl:

Fine people. I'm getting married.

:eek: popcorn::
How could u leave after that announcement!!!!

I actually like Kid Rock and have a lot of respect for him as a performer. We went to Atlanta for the 2000? Summer Sanitarium Tour. (Metallica, Korn, System of a Down, Kid Rock). The lead singer for Metallica decided to go jet skiing the day before and hurt his back. After an hour of waiting for Metallica, Kid Rock came back out to perform and sang some Metallica songs. He didn't have to do this. He could have said screw it, I did my performance, the heck with these people. But he didn't, he cared for the fans and showed a lot of class and professionalism. I may not like all of his acts on stage, but I think he good person. :thumbsup2

:yes: I agree. I've seen him in concert too and in interviews, he's very down to earth. OMG I can't believe James Hetfield :sad2: . I saw that concert, but we got Limp Bizkit instead of Kid Rock.

I just talked to Mo! She is just swamped at work and has not had much time for dissing. Bonnie is still working her way back. Murph is doing GREAT! She said to tell everyone thanks for worrying about her and she promises that she will check in next week!

Good to know. Good looking out Janet. :goodvibes

Funny thing is, I don't want to get married and don't really want all the "baggage" that comes with a major commitment - you'd think I'd be every lifer's dream right? Nope - they're all looking for "Mrs. Right." Or so they say.

::yes:: I agree with all the above. Is that weird, since I've never actually been married? I've always said I want a Goldie Hawn/Kurt Russell relationship. ;)

Even Deuce liked it!

Awwwww I have a kitty just like him Angela! Except mine (Orion) is fatter and bigger. :laughing:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well I see everyone is planning Jen's wedding :rotfl:
I was up and helping the mother help run errands.
Got in a fight with the boyfriend last night.
And am trying to avoid Disney depression.
This place looks awsome!!!! are they paying for everything? bar tab and all? can I be KCs sister? I`m Swedish but they will never notice!!!
LOL I think they are paying for everything, we didn't go last year because KC worked the night shift then, so we shall see how it goes when we get there tomorrow. The company is fairly cheap but they strike me as the kind who wanna look good at a party like this, ya know!?
Hi Everyone!!!
HI!!! How was it? Doing a TR....:lmao: :lmao:
I got an email from the wife of our friend who passed away a few months ago. Her stepson's mother had 10 hour brain surgery Monday to remove a tumor the size of a lemon on her brainstem. I never met Susan when she was married to George but I hope it's not bad as I think it sounds. Your early 20's is too young to lose one parent let alone two.
So sorry! Thats so scary!
Oh, I will post the cookie recipes later today. And I have to work on my Mini-Fockerfest TR....Finally!!!
So what happened to the famous gingersnap recipe??? I was looking fwd to it!
If you answer me, don't quote this, so the kids won't read it over my shoulder... Thanks[/COLOR]
See I didn't actually quote it... i say go for it, you'll need extra controllers tho, it only comes with 1. I do think it's fun for kids, and some of the stuff is good for adults too! It's the cheapest system option out there to.
Orlando Bloom, but only as an elf or pirate :rotfl:
SO with you on this one! BTW my childhood BFF met her now husband on match.com...who knows right?
You guys are hilarious! Planning Jen's wedding without her!
What are friends for!
JEN WE NEED DETAILS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got my SS gift today! Thank you so much. Love it! :goodvibes
Even Deuce liked it! :thumbsup2
Very nice!!!! Bale always loves the boxes best, too!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another fun filled day...NOT. I'm in for a long boring day, trying to will myself to go out in this crappy weather. It's all overcast and dark out. Meh.

The only real thing I'm doing today is digging out the top I want to wear to the Christmas party tomorrow and doing my nails.

QUESTION- I am having a mini cocktail party saturday. We are having 3 people over to exchange gifts. I have one person bringing some dessert and the other bringing some drinks. I plan to make my spinach artichoke dip and some pigs in a blanket. I want to come up with one other app to serve...what should it be?? They are not adventurous eaters by any means so it needs to be simple. Any ideas???

So, D was just finishing deciding that he wasn't going to go to the office today, but would have to go tomorrow, when the phone rang and he's got a trip to Philly tonight! ;)

Oooh! How liong is he going to be here for? When does he get here? I assume he doesn't fly into Philly International. popcorn::

Got in a fight with the boyfriend last night.
And am trying to avoid Disney depression.

Hope you guys work everything out! Did he go to Disney with you:confused:

Fine people. I'm getting married.
Wow! :bride:
:dance3: :dance3: :jumping1: Congratulations! :jumping1: :dance3: :dance3:

It's my Anniversary... 22 years.... to the SAME MAN :confused3 :rotfl2:
My anniversary is today as well. Thirteen years to the SAME WOMAN. :love:

Carrie, V, Mary- Thanks for the thoughts on DVC! We'll provide an update as we get further along in our potential purchase plan. (And, yes Carrie, the sticker shock is pretty bad... :faint:)
----------------
Hi everyone! :wave:

I'm back at the office today, so I've been pretty busy catching up on the work I missed. :surfweb: Between the various work interruptions of my DISing, I'll probably have at least a page or so to catch up from the time putting this post todether. :rotfl:

I wanted to do a quick drop in to say hello and offer some :hug: :hug: :hug: to those who need them.

I'll try to pop back in later to check on the Jen's wedding plans in absentia...:rolleyes:

:faint: It's tough out there V! Apparently all the good men are in the North. :rolleyes:

That's right Z!!!

So what happened to the famous gingersnap recipe??? I was looking fwd to it!

Sorry Guys, I should've reiterated this......the molasses cookies ARE the gingersnap ones. They come out CRISP, like a gingersnap and have the same seasonings...I don't know why this girl called them molasses cookies (that seems like a SOFT cookie to me?) but I call them gingersnaps.

Sorry for the confusion. Here's the link to the recipes...

Here are acouple I like, but if they are not adventurous...I don't know about the first one! Both are from Betty Crocker.com

Tomato - Goat Cheese Bruschetta

2 logs (4 oz each) soft goat cheese, cut into 8 (1-inch) slices
1 can (14.5 oz) Muir Glen® organic diced tomatoes, drained
1/4 cup coarsely chopped pitted kalamata olives
1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme leaves
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon olive oil
24 slices (1/2 inch thick) baguette (about 8 oz), toasted
1. Heat oven to 350°F. In ungreased 1-quart shallow ovenproof gratin dish or 9-inch glass pie plate, place cheese in single layer.
2. Sprinkle tomatoes, olives, thyme leaves and pepper flakes over cheese. Drizzle with olive oil.
3. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until warm. Serve with baguette slices.

Skillet Nacho's

1 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil
1 medium green bell pepper, chopped (1 cup)
1 small zucchini, chopped (1 cup)
1 cup Old El Paso® Thick 'n Chunky salsa
1 cup chili beans in sauce (from 15-ounce can)
4 ounces tortilla chips
1 1/2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese (6 ounces)
Sliced ripe olives, if desired

Total Time: 55 min1. In 12-inch skillet, heat oil over high heat. Add bell pepper and zucchini; cook and stir about 2 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender. Stir in 1/2 cup of the salsa and the beans; cook until hot. Remove mixture from skillet.
2. Wipe skillet clean. Arrange tortilla chips in single layer in skillet. Spoon vegetable mixture onto chips. Sprinkle with cheese.
3. Cover and cook over medium-high heat about 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Sprinkle with olives. Serve with remaining 1/2 cup salsa.

Beer cheese dip? I have a cold veggie dip that is fantastic and super easy (though not at all good for you...) I've had some good luck with frozen spanikopita...

Oooh! How liong is he going to be here for? When does he get here? I assume he doesn't fly into Philly International. popcorn::

Around dinner time, just overnight... :) I have no idea where they fly into. :rotfl:

Around dinner time, just overnight... :) I have no idea where they fly into. :rotfl:

I would invite him for dinner if he was still here tomorrow;) Make sure he has my number in case of emergency!:thumbsup2

I'm guessing the fly into the small airport! I could watch the planes land from my BIL and SIL's old apartment!:thumbsup2

Aw, honey, I'd sit if I was there. :hug:

Thanks, CE. Well, I found someone to watch her if she's better by tomorrow. The friend who was going through radiation for breast cancer. I helped watch her kids for seven weeks, so she's going to watch mine for one morning. Now, if only she gets to feeling better. I can't take her over there if she's still sick. Also, my friend and her family are leaving for WDW on Friday! I can't get her family sick before their first trip to WDW!!!

Wish I could help, Jodi! Hope she feels better soon.

Did you hear about the school bus crash? It was in a suburb of Indy they said on Foxnews...

Thanks, Mel. I hadn't heard about the school bus crash, but the roads around here are bad all around. I looked it up and it happened in the county next to mine. Somewhat close, but way out in the middle of no where. I wouldn't even consider that area a suburb of Indy, it's that far away. But it still sounds scary!

Not till V's at the end of January!

My anniversary is next Saturday, the 27th. :cloud9:

It's my Anniversary... 22 years.... to the SAME MAN :confused3 :rotfl2:

Eric and I are only 11 years.

~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, DH and his dad just got home and left again. They picked up the car and are headed to get a copy of the police report and get an estimate on the car. Eric said it looked like the frame was bent. :eek: That's not good.
My FIL looks horrible. He is totally exhausted and scared to death. I can just tell.
Okay, in the midst of typing this, Eric called with some news from the police report. It seems that the driver of the vehicle that rear-ended my inlaws was a 40 year old woman and she was definitely under the influence of something. Two different witnesses saw her drive up onto the sidewalk a few times before slamming into the back of my inlaws car. She was driving a Honda Odyssey and had two other occupants in it. I'm going to assume that they were probably children, wouldn't you? This happened in the middle of the day!!!!!!!! Eric gave me her address off the police report and she lives in a very swanky golf course neighborhood. In fact, the house she lives in was still listed on a real estate website for $525K (which is on the high end around here). The house has over 5000 sq. ft. Supposedly, they took her to a different hospital and took blood and urine for testing purposes. The report didn't mention alcohol, but did say something about suspecting drugs of some kind.
How crazy is that????
Ugh...that just make me mad. I have drunk/drugged up drivers:mad: We just had a cop here killed by a drunk driver a couple of weeks ago:sad2:
And if she had kids in the car that makes it that much worse, IMHO!:mad: :mad:
Hopefully FIL will be okay once knows that MIL is okay:hug:
Gotcha...going to save that recipe! Thanks!!!!
:rotfl2: :lmao: Yeah Right!! I'll do a mini TR here. Yani has most of the good pics that I don't have yet.
Cause I'm one to talk about a TR....:lmao:
Here are acouple I like, but if they are not adventurous...I don't know about the first one! Both are from Betty Crocker.com
I am serious considering the nachos...thats a great idea....i personally love anything w goat cheese but think the only way they'd eat it is if i lied about what it is lol.
Beer cheese dip? I have a cold veggie dip that is fantastic and super easy (though not at all good for you...) I've had some good luck with frozen spanikopita...
another dip might be a good idea... this shouldn't eb so hard for me lol...im excited to have a little party but stressing over the silly stuff.
I am thinking I may do a trick I saw rachel ray do a few weeks ago...rolling up puff pastry w cheese and ham....
The police report said that there were three occupants of the minivan. Considering the driver was a 40 year old woman, what are the chances that the other two occupants were children?? I'd say pretty high. I mean, I'm almost 40 and I have two kids in the car with me all the time!
Do your friends like Mexican food, Kat? I've got a really good dip that goes with tortilla chips. It's really easy too, especially in a mini crockpot. You take one can of cream of chicken soup, one can of chunk chicken, one brick of cream cheese and slice up some jalapenos. Let it all melt and mix together and eat with tortilla chips. It's really yummy and you can control the spiciness by how many jalopeno rings you use. In fact, I may make it sometime this weekend....:cool2:
