I had planned on wrapping presents today. not gonna happen. she`ll tell. :guilty:
I think I`ll run out to Penneys instead and shop for my Mom. I have to send it up to Mass and Its getting late! for my Dad and his wife Sue, I`m going to order a gift package from Omaha steaks, good stuff!

V,

How about a 23 year old Eminem look-alike? 36 year old Kid Rock look alike?

Sadly, both live in Michigan...

Kid Rock lives a mile from me. His son and SD play baseball together... Bob (Kid Rock) is really nice. He isn't at ALL like his "on stage" persona.

Bob Seger lives across the street from us. He's nice too, but a CHAIN smoker!

MEL
Ok, gotta run to the P.O.
V, I will talk to Dave about Beach Living. He's so sweet, he'd be perfect for you! :thumbsup2

Unfortunately for us, she can and she did!

Someone needs to go over to that school she works at and make her post more details!

Yeah, I'm with Carrie. :scared:

ok then, how about a 33 year old Willie Nelson? :rotfl:
Uh.... NO.
V, we need to know your type.
Actually, Gramma and I were just dicussing this the other day, and my type seems to be pretty boys, but with a litle edge. Tall-ish (I've never dated anyone under 5'10"), good bone structure, can and will wear a suit beautifully, honest, real and open-minded, financially secure (note: not necessarily rich, but able to support himself. Rich is good, too.;) ). In short, a gay man would be ideal. :lmao:

Some real life samples of what I find attractive:
Brad Pitt in Legends of the Fall (a dead ringer for a former boyfriend interestingly)
George Clooney
Orlando Bloom, but only as an elf or pirate :rotfl:
Jim Morrison
Pretty much any J.Crew male model
JFK Jr.

Does this help? ;)

T - Got your card, Thanks!
You're very welcome! :goodvibes
Well we got Jimmy's report card. He got mostly S's *Satisfactory" and 3's (Proficient). He got a few N's (Need Improvement) on the things we know are probelms and are working on him with, with the Doctor (transitions and group activities). He got one 1 in gym (DOn't care if the kid is an athlete) and all they do is play basketball, soccer etc which are exactly the kinds of things he doesn't like to do...hence the group activity thing:confused3 Over all we are very happy
Awesome, Janet! Give Jimmy a high five for me! :cool1:

T - Katt is revruiting everyone for a FOcker Marching Band. DO you play an instrument, if not you get to wear one of those loverly outfits posted. PIck your favorite:lmao:
Nope, no instrument. But I can ROCK the mic! :mic:
So, what did everyone think about the winner of the Biggest Loser?? I for one am very happy! I think the best person won! I won't say who because I know we have some West Coasters out there.
I haven't watch it in years! I always forget about when it starts and then I can't get into it, KWIM?
I want to be The Biggest Loser.
Me too! They had an open audition here in LA in August, but sadly it was the day of my gramps funeral. :headache:
Hi Everyone!!!
Hey home skillet! What's shakin'?
Lazy day today, I don't like David now working Wednesday mornings and miss our time together :sad1: A friend just called me in a right state, she's not very well and wondered if I could pick up her prescription for her so I'm off to do that in a minute. Then it's just ironing and maybe wrap some pressies!
I'm almost done wrapping, too! Can you believe I forgot to buy Andy something for Christmas?

I got an email from the wife of our friend who passed away a few months ago. Her stepson's mother had 10 hour brain surgery Monday to remove a tumor the size of a lemon on her brainstem. I never met Susan when she was married to George but I hope it's not bad as I think it sounds. Your early 20's is too young to lose one parent let alone two.
Oh that's terribly sad, Angela. :guilty:
It is snowing buckets here, I am sure I will be getting a good work out shoveling snow when I get home.
That's one thing I'm glad I don't have to deal with. No snow here. Ever! ;)
A few photos from Epcot.

Thanks, Angela. You've just sealed the deal. Christmas 2010 - I'm sooo there! :thumbsup2
Bob's working from home, in my scrapbooking room again. That's good though, as he'll be out of the way!
Can you post a pic of your scrapbooking room? I'm going to gut my computer room so I can make it a craft/computer room and need some ideas. :goodvibes

Wanted to post a quick update on the MIL. FIL called late last night after seeing the neurologist. Nothing is broken, so that's good. I guess the vertabrae are just twisted, so they're going to put her in traction for a day to see if that helps straighten her neck out. She's in a lot of pain, but that's to be expected.
Poor MIL. I hope they give her some good drugs! Sending good thoughts her way, Jodi.

Oh no for DD4 - both my kids have been sick all week. They've both got that yucky wet cough.

Well, Leo's mood hasn't improved all week, which is dragging me way down; he goes to his dad's after school Fri. and I won't see him again until 11am Xmas day. Why can't the days before he goes away be better? :sad1:

And, since I need to postpone school for a year, I think I might try - GASP! - dating again. Ugh, is it bad that I'm dreading the prospect?!
Dude - I feel for you. I hear all about the lame guys out there. I've found the majority of men our age who are still single are lifers, KWIM? I think you need to find a nice single dad - Ooh! You should try out for the Bachelorette!
I will post all three. These are DEAR to my heart, people, just like you!
Ok Mel - I am going to attempt the cranberry ones. :thumbsup2
We've done nothing to organize the school party, since we've not had school, I've not gotten but one bit of money for the group present for the teacher... Sigh.
Tell me about it. I called every parent on the list to help with the classroom party and only 1 called me back. She's bringing punch. I got stuck with the cupcakes, ice cream cups, plates, napkins, utensils. Nice, huh? Whatever, lame parents - I did it for the kids. 'Nuff said. :snooty:
Mel,

I ordered some dried cherries from Cherry Republic one year and made oatmeal cherry cookies, oatmeal pecan cherry cookies, and oatmeal choc chip cookies. They were soooooo good.
Speaking of cherries.... do you guys have a Harry & David near you? They have the most awesome Bing Chocolate Cherries! :faint:
I texted her a couple of times too..no response. I was going to give her a call this afternoon (after a meeting). I'm starting to get a bit worried!
It's not like her to not check for so long. I'll try too. Maybe if she is bombarded with Focker calls, she'll call one of us back. I do everything is ok. I'm seriously worried.:guilty:
Fine people. I'm getting married
COMO SAY WHAT!!!!????
Sadly, she was the best candidate I've had yet, too! :rotfl:
:rotfl2:

I actually like Kid Rock and have a lot of respect for him as a performer. We went to Atlanta for the 2000? Summer Sanitarium Tour. (Metallica, Korn, System of a Down, Kid Rock). The lead singer for Metallica decided to go jet skiing the day before and hurt his back. After an hour of waiting for Metallica, Kid Rock came back out to perform and sang some Metallica songs. He didn't have to do this. He could have said screw it, I did my performance, the heck with these people. But he didn't, he cared for the fans and showed a lot of class and professionalism. I may not like all of his acts on stage, but I think he good person. :thumbsup2

Uh, I don't think I can lose 140 lbs and grow 10 inches by April. Can we change the date to the 1st of Octember?

Octember? When is that? :confused3

:scared: Wow,,,I`m using this guy alot today,,,

My problem is that the co-mom and I were thrown into it, and I kind of keep forgetting I'm a room mom! :rotfl: I did remember to do the memo about the group gift. I sent it in last Tuesday. I got one contribution on Thursday. Then we haven't had school.

I forgot all about the party until today, when I was thinking, "What do I do if we don't have school before the party?" Then I thought, "Oh, crap! Party!" :rotfl: I'm sure it's not anyone's priority - I wouldn't be surprised of many of the 4000 in town without power are in my school area, because we're the far edge and rural part of town - but still.

And for whatever reason, we never got a class list beyond the kids' names.

I couldn't make calls, even from the cell, all day Friday or Saturday from my house, because a tower was frozen or out of power, and so communication's been really spotty. My friend in the next town says they still don't have cable, so no one's cable modems are working... it's a mess.

I figure IF we have school, I can buy a few store things and fake the party, and the teacher can get her gift after Christmas, as we were doing a gift certificate anyway, so it's not something she could only use around the holidays... :confused3

To Michigan?!?! :faint: Nuh-uh, no way, never! I think you should sell him on teh merits of beach living. :teeth:

Exactly! :goodvibes

How about a 23 year old Eminem look-alike? 36 year old Kid Rock look alike?
I vote Kid Rock. Love him! Yes, white woman in a Volvo. :rotfl2: I've also heard he's a great father. :thumbsup2

ok then, how about a 33 year old Willie Nelson?

:scared:

Thanks, Angela. You've just sealed the deal. Christmas 2010 - I'm sooo there! :thumbsup2

Whoohooty! :yay:

You`ve ALMOST described my brother!! :lmao: want his Match.com profile? :rotfl2:

Is he willing to relocate to the beach? :confused3

Uh, I don't think I can lose 140 lbs and grow 10 inches by April. Can we change the date to the 1st of Octember?
Either works for me. My b'day is April and anniversary is October so either way, after the wedding, you can come to my house for another party! :goodvibes

I'm sure the teacher will understand, but how frustrating to be in charge and Mother Nature gets in the way.
