K still isn't home with his new truck. It's so dern frustrating how long this junk takes!
When he gets home the kids want to take a spin in the truck, so I'm letting them stay up. I really wanted a bath and to read a bit, but now that we're waiting on him and Biggest Loser's finale is on tonight, I may have to just settle for that and no alone time. Bummer.

Well we got Jimmy's report card. He got mostly S's *Satisfactory" and 3's (Proficient). He got a few N's (Need Improvement) on the things we know are probelms and are working on him with, with the Doctor (transitions and group activities). He got one 1 in gym (DOn't care if the kid is an athlete) and all they do is play basketball, soccer etc which are exactly the kinds of things he doesn't like to do...hence the group activity thing Over all we are very happy

Well, DH didn't end up going down to the hospital because the roads are so horrible here. It started as some snow earlier this afternoon and has turned to freezing rain, so basically the roads are a sheet of ice. The highway is so backed up that he wasn't sure how long it would take him to get downtown and then back again. And we didn't want him to end up as a patient as well, so he came home instead. He's planning to go down in the morning. His dad is supposed to call as soon as they hear anything from the neurologist.

I've decided to just sit and watch the Biggest Loser as well. Don't feel like doing anything else!

Had a good day ! It was our Managers Xmas Party !! Ate Waaaaay to much lots of snackies and cookies and Tiramusu that was out of this world !! We did Secret Santa and my old boss had me and she makes the best gift baskets going ! I got a 2 tiered cookie stand filled with cookies ( homemade ) a candle and a sweet bread in a mini christmas dish that can be reused. The family were like vultures when I brought it home !!

Me too! I just could not be away from my kids that long though. I'm working out about three times per week lately, so I'm hoping that I can figure out a way to go every day after the New Year. Of course, there's no point in starting a diet until after Christmas either....

There are also classes on-line, that aren't considered homeschooling but that would do everything. You pay and they teach, answer questions and grade the work.

My nieghbor has been homeschooling her 2 kids since 3rd grade, they are now 15and a half and 17, she signed them up for a on-line christian homeschool. I think they love it..I can get the info if you want me too.

Uh, you obviously don't remember my size. There would be black eyes and lots of slapping noises.

I just looked up the place where KCs office party is...and it says there is a dress code! I hate places like that, not that i'd dress like a bum but forcing me to dress up isn't nice either! And KC will be unhappy that he has to wear dress shoes, because he is VERY casual at work usually. The drinks look good tho: STIR NYC.

This place looks awsome!!!! are they paying for everything? bar tab and all? can I be KCs sister? I`m Swedish but they will never notice!!!

We've almost completed the decision/rationalization process for buying into DVC. I thought I'd come to those with more experience for some advice on our thought process regarding points.

We are a family of 5 and are looking at BLT as our potential home resort. We'd like to travel for about a week each year in early June. The kids' school ends in late May, and DW's teacher work days extend into the first week of June. I've been getting cross-eyed staring at the BLT point charts to try to decide how many points we should purchase.

I'm thinking that 280 would work as a good round number. 276 is the weekly total a 1-BR LV for Dream Season (June 1-10). If our trip goes over into Magic Season for a day or two in a given year, I should have a point buffer banked to make up the difference (280DP incentive for this summer - 8 nights in SSR 1-BR in Magic Season, bank 280 points from 2009 Use Year for use going forward). If we need to take a trip fully in Magic Season for a given year, we have enough points for a 1-BR SV or 1-BR LV (w/18 banked or borrowed points). That point total would also get us a 1-BR during Dream or Magic Season at pretty much any other DVC resort, or a 2-BR at some.

Our thinking was also to break the points into 2 contracts, a 200 pt and an 80 pt. Our oldest is 11, so in 7-10 years, who know if she will want to continue vacationing with us at Disney. Similarly, a couple years later for each of the other kids. I hope they will want to come, but I'm not sure. If they continue to come, we may need more points, or use the point where and when we can get a 2-BR. If they don't, a 200 point contract will leave us with enough points for a Studio at BLT during Premier Season for 6 or 7 nights depending on the view choice, and at least a full week MK view in any other season.

If you've made it this far, you are free to tell me how far I've over-analyzed this. Any suggestions, comments, or pointing out holes in my reasoning will be appreciated.

So, I got an interesting phone call about 5:00 this afternoon. An ER nurse called to tell me that my MIL is there. And my FIL was taken to the ER at the heart hospital next door to the regular hospital after they were involved in a car accident. She said that they were both okay (alert and talking, etc.) but were being given a whole work up due to complaints about neck and back pain. Not sure why they took my FIL to the heart hospital other than the fact that he had a quadruple bypass two years ago.

Oh no, hope things have got better today

My week is coming along well - tomorrow is our Brownie Investiture and holiday party, Thursday is Maddie's classroom party and Friday is our Brownie Caroling event. Whoooo Hooo!!! I'm almost done and then I'm taking some ME time when Andy starts his vacation!

Lazy day today, I don't like David now working Wednesday mornings and miss our time together A friend just called me in a right state, she's not very well and wondered if I could pick up her prescription for her so I'm off to do that in a minute. Then it's just ironing and maybe wrap some pressies!

I got an email from the wife of our friend who passed away a few months ago. Her stepson's mother had 10 hour brain surgery Monday to remove a tumor the size of a lemon on her brainstem. I never met Susan when she was married to George but I hope it's not bad as I think it sounds. Your early 20's is too young to lose one parent let alone two.
