Kat,
The food looks YUMMY!!! I'd dress in a chicken suit if they fed me there!
LOL.

The snowy Brooklyn scene was interesting. Does it just melt when it hits the ground? Wish that happened here....

MEL

The snows gone already! It's been raining and flurrying (is that a word?) all day but nothing stuck!

I will take pics at the holiday party if I can, now I just have to figure out what to wear to it, and what to wear Christmas eve too....i bought something new for Christmas day already. LOL.

So is my sister going to get a shock when she moves in 13 days time? :rotfl2:

YES! Every other day is freezing then its 60 degrees....it's been a strange winter already!!! Is she excited??? 2 weeks is so soon! You can give her my # if you want, inc ase she needs anything at all! :goodvibes

so i napped, because there wasn't anything else to do. I have some lentils going in my crock pot today, this honey soy recipe i found, and I'm making it with some already breaded fish I just have to throw in the oven. I'm just hoping KC doesn't get home too late or I may go stir crazy!

Dawn, that second outfit will require a trip "to Brazil" IYKWIM? No can do.

MEL:goodvibes

Now this one is not too bad.. Come on ladies...

Dawn.. I was going to suggest something along the lines of the Dallas Cowboys... but this is close... ...

Round two looking a little more Majorette-ty;)

Don't worry, DH is doing his own search now....he'll come up with something.

You guys are cracking me up with all this band talk! :) My brother and I were both very involved in high school marching and his son started playing in the pit last fall at his school. My brother became a pit crew dad! It was hilarious to think about that!

So, I got an interesting phone call about 5:00 this afternoon. An ER nurse called to tell me that my MIL is there. And my FIL was taken to the ER at the heart hospital next door to the regular hospital after they were involved in a car accident. She said that they were both okay (alert and talking, etc.) but were being given a whole work up due to complaints about neck and back pain. Not sure why they took my FIL to the heart hospital other than the fact that he had a quadruple bypass two years ago.

The phone just rang again while I was typing this message and it was the nurse again. My FIL is fine and good to go home. They're actually taking him to the hospital where my MIL is right now. But my MIL is being taken to Methodist Hospital, which is a level one trauma center. It's the hospital where the drivers who get in crashes at the Indy 500 are sent. She said that her first and second vertabrae are rotated and she needs to see a neurological specialist there. She'll be admitted after going first to the ER there.

On top of this, DH is taking his final exam tonight for his anatomy class for medic school. He did talk to the nurse the first time she called and I told him that I would take care of things, if something was needed before he was done with the test.

I don't want to bother him during his test, so I think I'm just going to wait until he calls here during a break or after he's done to let him know what's going on. I don't want to cause him to lose concentration on his test, kwim?

Then, we'll have to figure out how to get the car back later. Eric talked to the towing company and the guy there said that the airbags didn't go off and that he didn't see any damage to the car??? :confused3 Don't quite understand that one. Of course, it will be at least tomorrow afternoon before we can get the car.

So, my dreams of an uneventful stressless evening are gone out the window....

OK, I leave for a couple of hours and all heck breaks loose....

Those majorete uniforms:eek:

Jodi... this is not an Interesting Evening... this is a horrible evening... how in the world can your DH concentrate on his tests.

How old is she and how is her health??
Tell your hubby I'm Praying...

Jodi, I'm so sorry.

I read everything, but can't take the time to quote. I'm just wondering where the lime green uniforms are? :rotfl:

In what suddenly seems much less worse, we have no school again tomorrow. :headache: But we got lots of stuff done today, so I'm actually feeling OK. D's going to go to the office, as long as the weather allows. The guy is coming to look at the porch in the afternoon. :thumbsup2

Got to go play Sorry!, so I'll see you later. :grouphug:

Jodi! Oh my goodness! for everyone involved. Hope everything ends up ok!!!

Well, it started out interesting, then turned horrible. Luckily she is talking and alert, so that's good. She just turned 70 in November and is in pretty good health. A little slow getting around, but mentally good.

I haven't told Eric anything that has transpired since he talked to the nurse at 5pm. At that point, she told him that they were both fine and just being given the full workup just to be sure. They were both going in for CT scans at that point. I'm pretty sure the CT showed the vertabrae problems in my MIL, so that's when they decided to move her.

Eric just texted me a few minutes ago that he was done with the lab test and only missed one question. The written test is next. He'll probably be done with it by 8pm or so. I texted back that he should call me when he gets done. At that point, I'll tell him that they have transferred his mom and he'll probably head straight there. The hospital they transferred her to is one that he goes to frequently when he works in the ambulance, so he knows exactly where to go.

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. I really appreciate them!

Jodi...doll......I am VERY sorry.

Please let us know if you need anything. You and your fam are in my thoughts.
