Wow you're a great Mom, so how old are the kids?

Christian is going to be 12, Hannah will be 5, she is princess and Tinkerbell crazy. They have no clue we won't tell them until the night before we leave.

It's a 5K run/walk through after hours AK followed by an obstacle course and scavenger hunt. It's also a big Mom's Panel meet. My sister who lives in NY said she'll join me so I won't be able to meet for long but hopefully we can do it :thumbsup2

When are you going back to WDW Jo?

Janet, feel better.:hug:

Thanks Kate:hug:

So for those of you keeping tabs, it's 655 miles from Charleston, SC to Dayton, Ohio.:scared:

I'll share your pain. It is 1024.11 miles from my house to Pop Century...with a 5 year old:scared1:

Christian is going to be 12, Hannah will be 5, she is princess and Tinkerbell crazy. They have no clue we won't tell them until the night before we leave.

Awesome! How are you going to tell them?

Hiya peeps!

Kat - I need to go get "Dead Witch Walking". I saw it the other day but Doug had too much stuff already.

Def pick it up, I am HOOKED on that series. It's def a bit soon to be jumping back into dating, yeesh. Good luck tomorrow- positive thoughts are headed your way!

Whoa! Go Kat! :woohoo: You rock, girlfriend!

I hope you guys like the apartment. Is it smaller? bigger? near where you are now?

it's a 1 bedroom. There were no pictures in the ad but its in a private house and it's about 4 blocks from where we are now. It would be a great and convenient move. It says there s a washer and dryer too, which would be awesome. I'm not getting my hopes up tho because you never know about these places!

OOPS! Forgot the big news!

Little "No Name" has a name!

Cappucino

Gus said he looks like coffee with milk, so he's naming him cappucino. Fine with me. I think that's a good name. :lovestruc

LOVE it!

Cappuccino

Gus said he looks like coffee with milk, so he's naming him cappuccino. Fine with me. I think that's a good name. :lovestruc

It's a GREAT COFFEE and Name :thumbsup2

With some assistance I have some Lasagna, Garlic toast ....and ....a Ham and Broccoli Casserole in the Oven.. ( The latter being for Scott as I did not have any whole wheat Low Carb Pasta in the house.)

Need to go Hack some lettuce and make a salad then get to studying with Sarabeth.

Another day of "Antipoverty" and hopefully I can sleep normal. I had to sleep practically sitting up last night . Stuff makes me sleepy but it combined with a strong Anti histamine really help.

wow z !!! i thought feb was supposed to be low crowds!

great pics!

Z is making fun of the starlets on the carpet. She has started a mini-TR also. Cool sounding McD's - Great Epcot pics.

Z: loving the mini tr so far!!!!

MEL

Love the Mini trippie! The lines sound insane. I am shocked it was so bad.
.

Thanks! :goodvibes Yeah the lines were pretty bad, but we still had fun.

Hello ladies, we are back.

Margie sounds like you had a great trip! :goodvibes

OMG Z - I can't even remember the last time I saw that kind of line for the Seas! Hope the day and trip got easier.

I actually took a picture of one of the lines...stay tuned for that. :rolleyes:

The Lego competition went well. They placed second for the state which gets them an invitation to the National Comp. in Ohio in May. #1 was disappointed as he wanted to go to World Festival again, but this way we have no graduation conflicts :thumbsup2 So now we'll see if the rest of the team is up for a drive to Dayton, Ohio.....

:woohoo: Congrats to #1! Not World, but it's always good to place.

masen was really into regan's princess book..........................

Awwww :cutie:

Morning All !!
Z loved the start of your TR!!Tell bf I am another in search of those DSA's I have my fav at MK by the Speedway!! Question for you where are the Dolphins at Seas ?

Let's see: There's one near the exit of Test Track past the bathrooms
There's one in the China Garden on the right side as you enter the pavillion
There's one between Japan and Morocco (the bf liked this one the best)
There's one as you exit Epcot near some bathrooms I think after Art of Disney. :confused3

The Dolphins are in the aquariums in the Seas, usually if you go to the top floor you can get good views of them.:thumbsup2

We love these, too!
Loved the pic taken by the "photopass" photographer. :rotfl2:

They are truly yummy.
I swear he must've been a PP on his day off. He even asked us if we knew about PP and I told him I did. It was really weird when he told us to pose, but we just went with it. :lmao:

I had a great day yesterday. DH gave me a pedicure. He says it is rare to find a dh that will do that, so I should feel lucky. I pulled everything out. He said he thought he was just going to paint my toes, but did it all. He also fixed me a white russian to enjoy while I was relaxing. That thing was strong! I think it was his ploy to miss church because after 1 drink I was in no shape to be going anywhere, much less church. I don't think it's acceptable to show up with numb lips.

I was so relaxed.

Wow!! Yup he's a keeper! :thumbsup2

Hey, no picking on us smokers:headache:

Sorry Janet, he was wasting valuable time. :p I'm used to his addiction by now, even though I don't like it.

I hope you guys get better soon. :hug:

We were in Casitas and in December there weren't many refurbed rooms, they are meant to be doing them all though!

Ooooh good to know. I'm gonna have to call and make a request. I wonder if I can with the AP discount....

I hope it is ok to pop back on the Focker thread? Wow, I haven't been around here in forever.

Hi Mrs K!! :wave:

Good Morning!

I spent last night watching the Oscars, they were pretty amusing and I am such a sap, I got all misty eyed when Heath's family was accepting his award. :sad1:

I really liked them, some stuff I thought was a little out of place, but overall I liked it. When Heath's family went up it was bittersweet. I got all teary eyed when Shirley Maclaine was talking to Anne Hathaway before the Best Actress award was given out. I always cry at the Oscars though. It's the inner film geek in me. :sad1:

Worst Dressed went to Beyonce
Best Dressed went to Taraji Henderson or whatever her name was (the lady that played Benjamin Buttons Mom, that was nominated for an Oscar)

Hi Fockers!

.

Hi Lori :wave2:

Z- Awesome mini TR sof ar. Doesn't the BF know that smoking wastes valuable park time? :sad2: The pics of you guys are really cute !
[]

He knows now. :teacher:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, I'm feeling sorta ucky today. ....
Hope your headache gets better Jodi. :hug:
Tomorrow is Shrove Tuesday or better known here as pancake day but as Ellie is busy with dancing and David is at work we had them for dessert tonight instead :rotfl2: I had mine with golden syrup I think you call it corn syrup and sugar, not sweet at all
I was wondering what your FB status meant. :rotfl2:
OOPS! Forgot the big news!
Little "No Name" has a name!
Cappucino
Gus said he looks like coffee with milk, so he's naming him cappucino. Fine with me. I think that's a good name. :lovestruc
Awwww perfect! That Gus is such a smart kid. :goodvibes
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Not much going on with me today. I had some meetings to go to at work. Just here relaxing and catching up.
I'll do more TR in a bit.
Hey guys I'm bouncin' back on for a minute to help Rosie out with the dessert.
Oh ROSIE!!!
I forgot I had this recipe. It's quick and easy.
Best Ever Dessert
1 8oz. block of cream cheese, softened
1 C of hvy cream
1 C of water
1 small box of your favorite flavor instant pudding (pistachio would work for an Irish theme.)
Place the cream cheese in a large bowl and cream it with a blender until smooth. Add cream, mix well. Add water, mix well. Add pudding and mix well. Place it in serving dish/dishes. Chill for at least 1 hour. It makes enough for 6-8 people.
I use sugar free pudding for myself. It's very good.
Mel - Cappuccino is a great name!
Sorry, I missed this... Evan's doing really well, thanks. His pain is gone and so is my worry. It was a long week. :rolleyes:
Cable guys. We're canceling our satellite TV and getting the new fiber optic cable, internet and phone service. Andy says it's better, but I could care less, except I'm stuck sitting here waiting. :headache:
We got Fios in September. Save for me being cooped up all day with the Fios dude, it's pretty nice (I like the multi-room DVRs).
We made our way into WS via Mexico. I saw a lot of people already there and it was around 11:45-ish. I was ready to get my 'rita on, until I saw the line at the Margarita stand. :eek: It was ridiculous so I passed on the 'rita.
We made our way into the pyramid to ride the 3 Amigos ride and to explore.
Obligatory Mexican hat photo:
CIMG7358.jpg
We turned around to go to the ride and I stopped in my tracks when I saw this:
CIMG7359.jpg
:scared1: :faint:
Yes that was the line to get into the ride. Now I had NEVER EVER seen the line for this ride so long. I was at a loss for words. It was crazy. I told the bf nevermind and apologized and vented that I'd never seen that line that long. So with that we bid Mexico Adios and moved on through the world.
We went to Norvay and has anyone noticed that the Viking ship is no more? I noticed this last trip and it's still MIA. Also it seems like the got rid of that DSA area. :confused3 We explored the little Viking history museum thingy.
Whilst inside I saw lots of kids doing the Kim Possible thing. Basically they're given a cell phone that gives them clues to look for throughout the different pavillions in the WS. It looked pretty cool. Made me want to do it too.
The bf posing :rolleyes:
CIMG7361.jpg
We left Norway and I didn't even think to go to Maelstrom. I think I was still shocked from the Mexico line, that I didn't even want to bother. I guess this would've been one of those times where the Maelstrom FP could've come in handy. :rolleyes1
We moved onto China and did some exploring and browsed the store
CIMG7363.jpg
CIMG7366.jpg
I decided to drag the bf to watch the "reflections of China" show. I'd never seen it and it was really nice.
We walked out of the show and made a stop for the bf :sad2: whilst I took a scenic shot
CIMG7368.jpg
and a self shot of us
CIMG7369.jpg
Onward to Germany we trekked and got us some beer
CIMG7370.jpg
While we were waiting in line for the beer we saw the cuckoo clock go off. I'd never seen it so that was pretty cool.
We explored some of Germany and continued to Italy. Not much exploring, but we did take a little rest here to finish drinking the beer and some more photo ops:
My fave self pic of us :goodvibes
CIMG7374.jpg
CIMG7376.jpg
We got to Japan and explored
CIMG7377.jpg
Then went into the store and browsed some. We were starting to get hungry and decided to see if maybe we could get into Teppan Edo for an early dinner. I knew it was a longshot, but I was curious. The CM told us they were booked and that if we wanted we could try again later since it was only a party of 2, but we'd have to wait awhile.
We thanked her and continued on our way. I wanted the bf to see the Japanese drummers and Miyuki the candy lady, but we had some time to kill before the next showing. So we decided to continue to Morocco and explore, but first another stop for the bf :sad2: .
Morocco was jumping, they had music playing throughout and a lot of people milling around. The bf got really excited when he saw the Fez hat and almost bought it
CIMG7378.jpg
We checked out the menu to Marrakesh, but it was vetoed. It was about time to head back to Japan, but first a self pic
CIMG7379.jpg
We got back to Japan just in time to see the drummers. The Pagoda thingy was being refurbished so they were located next to the stairs that lead up to Teppan Edo so we actually watched them from up there since there was a pretty big crowd when we got there. They were awesome as usual. Miyuki was about to begin her show so we grabbed a spot there to watch her. She was as entertaining as always. The bf really enjoyed her and is still imitating her. :laughing:
Onward we went to France, but the bf insisted on another break in his favorite DSA spot. :sad2:
Oh Z! You KNOW it's crowded when there is a line for the boat in Mexico :eek:
Love the pics of you and The Boyfriend. :thumbsup2
Hi Fockers, just a drive by to say hi and let T know I got my DL park hopper today.:thumbsup2 DL website has them on sale I got a 6 day hopper, was only going to get a 5 day, but it was only $5 difference between the 2. This was if I want to head into the parks the first day for an hour or 2 I can, figure for $5 extra it will be nice to have the choice.
I skimmed a bit...
Z - tell BF no more breaks, enough already. Sorry about the crowds. I'm skipping Feb next year.
Janet - feel better and Jimmy too
Jodi - did I see you were sick too?
V and Jo - allergies, not that you want to be compared to a dog, but this is the worst time of year for Namath even with the allergy shots.
I started to watch the Oscars, just can't stay up that late, I loved Steve Martin and Tina Fey though.
Mel - when did you get a bunny? Cute name though.
I forget what else, long day and I'm tired. Off to watch Amazing Race that I DVR'ed last night
OMG a line for Gran Fiesta :scared1: , that looked insane, I can't believe that. WOW.
I am loving this TR, you two are adorable. I feel your pain about him stopping all the time. We had a person with us in October that did the same thing :sad2:.
I was all excited to get to France as I was craving a Grey Goose slushie.
I made the line and the person in front of me was about to pay with a credit card when the CM told him that their credit card machine was down. Noooooooooo! I didn't have cash on me nor did the bf, so I was denied my slushie. :sad1:
Defeated once again this trip, the bf consoled me and we passed the bridge into UK. I had told the bf about British Invasion and he wanted to see them. Luckily they were about to start in 5 minutes so we grabbed a seat and relaxed some and enjoyed the music. They were fun as usual and the bf approved of their singing. He didn't believe me when I said they had the accents and everything.
We explored and browsed the shops of UK
CIMG7382.jpg
It was time about time for Soarin' so we walked through Canada without much exploration. My feet were starting to hurt in my Crocs, they felt blistery, but weren't. I guess the little bumpy areas inside the Crocs were just rubbing badly in certain areas. I'd never worn them the whole day in WDW so I had no idea they would be like this as they'd never given me problems before.
Whilst we were walking, we were making some changes to the plan. Our ADR time at Cape May wasn't 'til 745pm. We were getting pretty hungry though. I suggested that we try Kona at the Poly since you can usually get in without an ADR (at least I was praying we could with these crowds) and then end our night at MK. The bf just agreed (smart man ;) ) and with our plans set we made our way to the Land.
We got to Soarin' and I shuddered:scared: at the 170 min. wait time. I was so happy we had FPs. Even with them we waited a good 20 min to ride. I scored us some 1st row seats and we were soon flying over California.
As we were leaving Soarin' I checked the times for Mission Space and TT and they were still out of the question. I asked the bf if he wanted some free soda, so we went to Club Cool and got some free drinks. I made him try the Beverly
Before:
CIMG7383.jpg
After:
CIMG7384.jpg
Hee hee hee.
We headed out, but not before another "break" for the bf.
He requested to do Spaceship Earth and the wait didn't look too bad, it said 20 min. The line was pretty long though as it looped around both sides of the entrance area, but it was moving. We finally boarded and journeyed through time. Here's our SE ending shots:
CIMG7386.jpg
CIMG7387.jpg
CIMG7388.jpg
CIMG7389.jpg
So with that we said goodbye to Epcot and headed towards the monorail to the Poly.
Here's the decorations for the monorails for What Will You Celebrate?
CIMG7391.jpg
We had a nice relaxing ride to the Poly and made our way to Kona. Luckily we were able to get in without ADRs with only a 20 minute wait.
The Tambu Lounge was packed though. I was so ready for a Lapu.
Our beeper went off to be seated and I ordered my drink
CIMG7393.jpg
It was small, but oh so yummy. I think the best one I've had yet. Mmmmmm.
We had the prime rib which was delicious. The bf also had some California rolls, which he said were good too. For dessert he got the Kona Kone which he said was good too, while I had the fruit platter thingy which was yummy as well and we were both stuffed! :thumbsup2
The bf stepped out for another "break", we paid our bill and made our way back to the monorail to end our day in MK.
As we were waiting to board a CM asked if we wanted to ride up front, so the bf and I and another couple ended up in the front. :woohoo:
The MK was scheduled to close at 9pm that night, but as we were walking towards the turnstiles an announcement came on saying that it would be open for an extra hour! :banana: The boyfriend got more Happy Birthdays at MK and posed for more photos:
CIMG7396.jpg
CIMG7397.jpg
It was pretty full as we entered Main Street. I tried short cutting through one of the stores, but that didn't work out too well. I did find this hat for the bf to try on though
CIMG7398.jpg
I asked what he wished to ride first and he requested HM so off we went. Luckily there was no wait here (thank goodness). We left HM and headed to FL and rode IASW, Philharmagic, and we went in search for another DSA :sad2: by the Indy Speedway.
It was about time for Wishes so we made our way to the Tomorrow Land Noodle Station area since a lot of you have said this is a good viewing spot. Wishes was wonderful as always :cloud9: , but I'm not a fan of that spot. I still think in front of the castle is best, but that's just me.
After Wishes we headed to Space Mtn, the wait time was 40 min which I guess wasn't too bad considering the crowds. After that we had time for 1 more ride and opted to go on CoP. When we got out, all the rides were officially closed. There was going to be a second showing of Spectromagic, but we decided to call it a night. But not before one last shot:
CIMG7403.jpg
Oh and I saw these guys, I know someone asked about them on here:
CIMG7404.jpg
These were in the place that shows the old Disney cartoons like a little theater on Main Street. They're $40.
We made our way to our bus stop for OKW and luckily one was pulling up as we got there and we were soon on our way "home". When we got to the resort we went to find out which room we were in, since I never called to find out then drove on over.
CIMG7405.jpg
The room was great. I'd stayed in a studio here before and it looked the same. The only difference was we ended up in a handicap room and the bathroom was a little smaller. But I wasn't complaining.
We were tired, but had had a fun day.
We got ready for bed and the bf was sweet enough to give me a foot massage. :lovestruc and a little while after we both passed out. And slept in the next morning. FYI there's no late check out at OKW.
The next morning we woke up, checked out and headed to POFQ for some breakfast. We had a yummy breakfast I had the chocolate chip pancakes and the bf had the King Creole Platter. After we bid Disney goodbye and headed back to reality.
Even with the crowds we were still able to have a magical day. The bf was happy because he got many Happy Birthdays, even from other guests who we walked by. And we got to spend his birthday together in the Happiest Place on Earth. :goodvibes
Oh Z! You KNOW it's crowded when there is a line for the boat in Mexico :eek:
Love the pics of you and The Boyfriend. :thumbsup2
A line for Gran Fiesta :scared1: :faint:
You guys make such a cute couple:goodvibes
::yes:: that's what I said! :rotfl:
Thank you! :goodvibes
Z - tell BF no more breaks, enough already. Sorry about the crowds. I'm skipping Feb next year.
I have :guilty: :sad2: . I understand how hard of an addiction it is to get rid of and he's getting better. :confused3
I didn't expect Feb to be that busy.
OMG a line for Gran Fiesta :scared1: , that looked insane, I can't believe that. WOW.
I am loving this TR, you two are adorable. I feel your pain about him stopping all the time. We had a person with us in October that did the same thing :sad2:.
::yes:: and Thank you! :goodvibes
My kids call it the Grand Siesta Snore :rotfl2:
Hey! :rotfl2: I like it because it has my duck. :love: :donald:
Tracy, I just caught up on your TR:thumbsup2
Mary - I caught up on yours yesterday!:goodvibes
I saw your comment. Just haven't done any more updating. I was cleaning a bunch today.
Okay back from a little shopping !! :thumbsup2 I love when I get bargains !!
I love good deals, too! :lovestruc
Cable guys. We're canceling our satellite TV and getting the new fiber optic cable, internet and phone service. Andy says it's better, but I could care less, except I'm stuck sitting here waiting. :headache:
Glad Evan is doing better.
Is the new AT&T Uverse the fiber optic? It looks pretty good to me, but we are still in a contract with Directv.
Thanks for the extra hugs. I'm celebrating pancake day today too. :thumbsup2 We're having gingerbread pancakes (mix) with apples diced into it and REAL maple syrup. I don't do log cabin. :sad2:
That sounds delicious.
Kristel- sorry to hear about all the bro - sil drama.
Z said:
OMGosh, Z! I nearly aspirated my kleenex when I read that. You crack me up!
Great pics of you and the BF. :love:
Thanks to everyone who commented on Cappucino the Bunny's name. He's a cute little fella. We got him out to hop around the kitchen after dinner but the tile was slippery for him and he ended up doing a sort of swim across the floor instead of a "hop." :rolleyes:
My nose won't stop running, so I'm going to go chill in bed with a book. You guys behave, ok!?
MEL:banana:
Hey Z!!! Great mini-trippie! Sorry about the crowds though. Still, it sounds like you and the BF had a good time.
Mel - Hope you feel better soon and add me to the list that likes the bunny's name.
T - I hear you on the organization thing. I've got the painting bug right now, but I can't find time to actually do it. DH got his bonus last week, so I'm thinking of going carpet shopping for our family room and I'll wait to get a good match between the carpet and paint.
Janet - I hope your family feels better soon too!
Mo - thanks for the drive-by! I'm feeling better now. Headache is finally gone. DD5 has a croupy cough, but that's pretty normal for her in the winter, unfortunately. I'm just hoping we can get through it without steroids.
Katt - Get some rest and let your back heal!
Rachel - have fun at work, even though you don't want to go.
I know I missed a bunch of you, but I'm too tired to remember who wrote what. I'll just give a bunch of :hug: :hug: :hug: :hug: all around to everyone who needs one!
I think I'm headed out to watch the rest of the hockey game or maybe catch up on the two episodes of Amazing Race I've got DVR'd. I'm uploading pics to be printed from our October WDW trip.... going scrapbooking this weekend.
Hope everyone has a great night!
Z- great TR!!! You need to curb that man's smoking- doesn't he know it's bad for you!? SO he and his family have AP's right? Why did it seem he knew nada when it came to the WS? Not that he didn't have a great guide, tho.
Poor KC had a bad day, but we chowed down on pizza and he is going to play some games with his work peeps and blow off some steam. I am going to watch some dvr-ed shows. Night all!
