Hi Everyone!

The b-day was good. Thank you again for all of your messages! I am without laptop and iphone = hard to DIS! :sad1:

Lessa & Jo- I sent you PM's with an emergency plea for help! DS and TINK need something that can't be bought in the US. :worship:

Thanks everyone for the info on the debt consolidation. I wish we could just roll over all the amounts to one card, and just pay one sum. I don't think KC will go for it tho. It was worth the thought tho. We have put the cards away tho, and we are NOT touching them for a while.

Yes, I watched both. Can't wait to see OC's reunion next week. They always seem to have boring reunions but I think this one will be good.

And I really liked New York's this year. Last year it was so-so for me but can't wait to see what happens this year! Did Jill and Bethany call Simon and Alex, Silex? I could have sworn I heard her say that while they were in the pool. :rotfl:

I think they did call them Silex! :rotfl2: They are so funny, and sad really. They make me mad mostly and seem to give NYers a weird name, but I guess the other show must do the same for locals too.

I can't believe Jeff died! That should make the reunion pretty interesting. They were so backstabby with each other this season.

Anyways...off to shower and do my nails and relax with a movie.

Lessa - I wonder how inconvenienced other guests were with them being there:confused3 :rolleyes:

There's a thread on the CB about it (people were getting angry about a rumour that they got to stay in the castle although that has pretty much been debunked). It seems like it wasn't much of a disruption at all. One poster ate at Narcossee's the same night as them and says that they were treated just like regular guests and that everybody pretty much just left them alone. Somebody else said that they ate at CRT without a fuss. There is even a picture of them eating at a counter service place. I think other than the one on one time on the grass that was pictured they pretty much toured normally although they were pictured with one of those VIP guides.

Morning Fockers! It's freezing rain here!
Which turns my thoughts to vacations in warmer places...:goodvibes

We are thinking now about going to the Bahamas. Anyone been? Looks like we can fly direct (my favorite) from Charlotte for free (my other favorite). They have a HIlton in Nassau that I'm researching.
Thoughts??

We went to Nassau in Jan 2001 right before DD7 was born. We even stayed at the Hilton right there. I don't remember much from that trip (it was just a weekend), but I do remember that there were some hotels on a different part of the island that were a lot nicer. I think it was called Cable Beach. The downtown part of Nassau is kinda icky, imho. We walked down the main drag to the Atlantis hotel one afternoon. And if I remember right, the beach right by the Hilton isn't very nice. The one plus is that you can see the cruise ships docked from the hotel windows. Hope this helps!

Anyone ever done debt consolidation?? Any thoughts on it?

My only question would be what it does to your credit score?? Will it affect your ability to get a loan later?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sounds like my family is one of the only ones healthy around here! Maybe that's because I haven't been around much lately!
Didn't do too much out of the ordinary today. Bible study this morning, then working out at the Y. DD7's Brownie meeting was cancelled for tonight because the leader's kids have a stomach bug.
One interesting thing that happened today is that there was a bank robbery in a little tiny town near us this morning. The police chased the suspects and caught one of them, but the passenger got out and ran away on foot. So, they locked down all the nearby schools and conducted a manhunt with dogs and rifles. Way more excitement than this little town has seen in a long time! It all happened about 2 miles from DD5's preschool. It didn't affect us, but I'm sure my friend's DH was busy today, since he was just appointed the chief of police up there!
Jodi- I'm not sure what it does to your credit score, but we paid everything off and got a new Mastercard and house about 2 years later. We also bought our new cars this fall. So, if it does affect it, it must not be bad enough to keep them from approving us. :confused3
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, I've been lazy and bored all week. I was going to plan out our touring plans, etc. today, but I'm just not feeling it. :guilty: I have my ADRs and parks planned. I did buy swimsuits today for K and B. I packed up the car surprises for the kids... dryer sheets... travel Disney pillows and blankets that the kids got for Christmas.
Meh. I'm sure I'll get busy on it all soon. :rolleyes:
So we went over to Target and found a decent TV stand for the new TV and I tried out those gaming pods... OMG! I sat in one and couldn't get up.
I can totally picture this happening to you!:lmao:
I also bought a new scarf to match my new Vera bradley bag...and it's LIME GREEN!!! Is it wrong that I love this bag so much I want another?!
No, it's not. Every now and again they have great discounts on retired prints. I'll let you know the next time I come across a deal. I want one of the hipsters.
Jon has juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. :sad2:
Sorry to hear.
Lunch at TGIF, I lied my meal was actually $5.99. I had the Gourmet Mac and 5 cheeses. It was a chicken breast with penne pasta and the most amazing cheese sauce, so yummy!
That sounds yummy!
*****************************************
I'm way behind, but I'm going to go find Mo's mini TR.
Mo - thanks for the mini TR! You did a lot in one day. We love FOTLK - and love it more than the Nemo show.
Did you have to pack the wine in your suitcase? We wanted to buy wine when we did F&W, but didn't because of the flight.
Never been to the Bahama's, but then again I hate the beach so going to an island would be kind of pointless, no? ;)
I didn't know anyone could hate the beach.:confused3
I love the beach. We always spent our summers at the beach and it is the one thing I miss about being in Atlanta.
LL - sorry to hear about all the stuff going on at work. I know it is stressful.
Sorry to hear so many have been sick.:hug: to all.
*****************************************************
Friday night we roasted marshmallows. Then Saturday, we were going to go hiking, but it rained and it was too wet. So then Sunday, we decided to drive up to the mountains and hike. We were supposed to go to Amicalola Falls, but somehow missed the turn. So we kept going and went to Helen. We were going to hike up Anna Ruby Falls, but they had the trail to the falls closed, but there were other trails that we could do - mostly around the lake. We had a good time and the kids liked it.
Today I watched my friend's dd while she went to the doctor. Then when she got back, we all went to lunch.
My sister's called me today and said, "I've got to ask you something and you have to tell me the truth." I'm like - okay. Thinking that was weird. Then she said she wasn't going to tell me who told her this, but someone told her that I used to sneak out my window to go out with my boyfriend. I laughed and told her I knew who told her and I only did it twice. She is friends with that boyfriend and his best friend on FB. I told her I was going to have to send him a message to not be giving away all my secrets.
I told my friend and she said everyone did that and she totally expects her kids to do it, too. Who else here was a window climber/sneaker outer at night? :rotfl2:
Who else here was a window climber/sneaker outer at night? :rotfl2:
You know, I can honestly say that I never snuck out at night. I did break into our house once through the window when I was locked out! Guess I was just a little too goody-goody back then. :confused3
I'm Baaaaaack!!!!!
:grouphug: for all going through hard times, it's tough right now.
Z just left for the Motherland which is good since she didn't have much of a Valentines. :hug:
:goodvibes :hug:
Wow Kristel!!! :worship:
Congrats on the Promo!
Free airfare!!!!! You can probably find some good hotel deals, maybe even all inclusive??? I say go! :thumbsup2
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Well we had a blast! I'm tired and the freaking parks were so packed!!!!:crowded: No Brazilians this time, just lots and lots of people. It reminded me of Disney during Christmastime. I had no clue mid-February was such a busy time! :confused3 Either all their promotions and freebies are really working for them or I dunno what? The long weekend was over, kids are supposed to be in school as far as I know, and I know all those people weren't there to see Tom, Katie and Suri. :rolleyes:
We still enjoyed ourselve and made the most of it. I'll do a mini TR later.
I'm a little tired and just wanted to catch up and say hi to my Focker friends! :goodvibes
Laters! :hippie:
Hi girls and Mr. T :goodvibes
I'm exhausted! :faint: A few days ago Evan was complaining about pain in his belly. I thought maybe he over indulged in VD candy, so I hid all the sweets. Well, yesterday he started complaining again about the pain and started holding his right side when he walked. It didn't seem right, so I called the doctor. They couldn't see him, so they referred me over to the Urgent Care.
We saw the doc at Urgent Care and he sent us to the ER because he suspected Appendicitis. :eek: I called my brother, who works in the ER and he met us there. They admitted Evan, and ran a CAT scan, ultrasound, and blood work. Everything came back negative, but they did see swelling in his lymph nodes in the belly. So basically they don't know what is wrong with him and they sent us home telling me to "keep an eye on him".
Yeah, um... OK. That's it??
It's been a tough night. I'm so sorry if I missed anything dire. :flower3: Hope everyone is doing well.
Kat - I'm confused with your question. There is a difference in debt consolidation and consumer credit counceling loans. Debt consolidation would be if you went to your bank, got a signature loan to pay off all your existing debts. This does not affect your credit in a negative manner.
Consumer credit consolidation is what you see on TV - when a company does the calling for you to negotiate your rate, etc. Most often than not, it does affect your credit score. And some unscrupulous company's can destroy your credit, if you're not careful. I used to underwrite home loans and if I ever saw the 3 C's on someone's credit - I knew it was a deal breaker. Be careful and ask lots of questions on credit effects. :thumbsup2
G-Luv - :hug: I heard about Jon being diagnosed with RA. My cousins son was also diagnosed a few years back. It's been a tough road for them - she's a strong momma like you. Sending lots of love! :hug:
Good night everyone!:goodvibes
Ooh... one more thing... HA! Mel! I baked a blueberry coffee cake today. I know! Surprising, huh? I let you know how it is - I thought of you as I made it! :lmao:
Actually You cleared up a lot for me, thanks. I am going to chat with KC about it tonight when he gets home.
Poor Kiddo!!:hug:
How did I miss this? :faint:
Who else here was a window climber/sneaker outer at night? :rotfl2:
I did once but was so scared about getting caught, I had a horrible time. Never did it again. :rolleyes:
Well we had a blast! I'm tired and the freaking parks were so packed!!!!:crowded:
I know! :scared: Glad you had fun though. :thumbsup2
T, I hope Evan's ok. :hug:
Mitch leaves for Augusta in the morning, early. :headache: At least I'll be busy this weekend with my friend. :)
Yikes!
I packed up the car surprises for the kids... dryer sheets... travel Disney pillows and blankets that the kids got for Christmas.
I totally read this as that the kids' surprises were, in fact, dryer sheets. :rotfl: I was confused.
Who else here was a window climber/sneaker outer at night? :rotfl2:
Not I, much too good. Also, nowhere to go.
I had no clue mid-February was such a busy time! :confused3 Either all their promotions and freebies are really working for them or I dunno what? Nope, more than half of New England is on February break this week. We in NH go next week (and I know of at least 3 families going to WDW), but Massachusetts, RI, NY and Maine are all for sure off this week. I don't know about Vermont and NJ. ;)
Glad you still had fun, though!
Oh, honey, that's hard. I'm so sorry. :hug:
***********************************************************
We went to yoga and the boys got haircuts. That was all fine. We picked up McD's on the way back and then Buzz had to spend quite a bit of time on his make-up work.
It also started snowing. I just hope there's no delay. Even a cancellation, I can take them to tennis, but a delay screws it all up. ;)
Anyway, by the time we got showered and I dealt with the 4 phone calls in 15 minutes :headache: they were pretty late getting to bed, and Buzz was feeling a little tired again.
So, the phone calls...
Turns out that either my friend or her friend found discount ski passes from some place that is affiliated with the ski place we'll be close to. It's a fantastic deal, but apparently we have to do it by tomorrow morning, so we need to decide tonight which days who will be skiing, etc. Which is fine, but the grown men want some grown men ski time without the kids, but then the other mom wants the moms to get some "kid free time" too. That doesn't sound bad from my perspective, but it does create issues about the ski passes.
I think we've about got it ironed out, but I hate when a sudden crisis appears and has to be dealt with NOW - with D in CO and John in London - phone calls, decisions, general grumpiness... :lmao: But we're there, I think.
I'm still waiting on the final OK, but I have my online form filled out and ready to send.
And if it works out, it's half-price from the resort prices (and we called to be sure it's legit, and it is) so that's good!
I think I'm going to go read some more. I'm on a roll, and enjoying the books in my stack. ;)
Good night! I may stop back in before I go to bed. :grouphug:
Evening all !! I had togo back to work to finish of some scheduling nightmares:scared1: after babysitting for a couple of hours !! :scared1: :scared1: I am of tomorrow, andplan to relax and Dis and shop!! My favorite things !!!!!:cool1: :cool1:
Thanks! He liked the wavie guy! :)
Thanks! He's loving the smiley guys.
I really didn't like the NY season last year. I'm definately hoping this year will be better. And yeah, I can see how you would feel that they would give NYers a weird name. I know there were times that it would pop into my head if all people were really like this. But it is funny to see what people on the west coast deem important and the people on the east coast as well.
I do feel bad for Gretchen and I liked her for the most part but the rumors I saw flying around the internet was that she was dating someone else while Jeff was in the hospital. I had read an interview somewhere that Vicki had given that said she knew but wasn't going to say and that it could be very possible that Tamara would. :confused3 I guess we'll see what all comes out next week.
Sounds like you guys had a wonderful weekend!
I never snuck out at night...at least I don't remember that I did. My parents pretty much knew where I was going and who I was hanging out with. My ex and I were high school sweethearts and my time was pretty much spent with him and at my house. The only time my parents worried about me was when I would drive him home and took a lot longer than normal. ;)
I'm Baaaaaack!!!!!
Welcome back Z! So did you get to see Tom, Kate & Suri?
Oh man T...:hug: to Evan and you.
Lindsey had a fever and was complaing about belly pains last night and then woke up in the middle of the might with them and all kind of things were running through my head on what it was. Luckily hers was just an upset stomach but its so hard.
:hug:s again.
UGH...my kid would not go to sleep tonight and was driving me nuts! I finally threatened him that if he came down one more time that he would be sleeping on the porch in the rain. I haven't seen or heard from him since so my guess is he's in bed.
Lindsey had an excellent day in school today but get this, and I don't know why she should have gotten into trouble for this, but her teacher put a little sad face and wrote 'purposely letting Devin smack her hand.' I don't get that at all? :confused3
Not much else going on here. Just heard from my idiot ex that he wants to come into town for DR's birthday. I serioulsy have no problem with that but I have no clue how it will work. DR's bday is in March and its on a Sunday so we'll most likely have his party that day. I guess he can have them all that weekend, makes it a lot easier on me to shop, clean, decorate and cook with no interuptions. I would just have to make sure he has them back for DR's party or I guess the ex can come to it. :confused3 The kids have no time off between now and the end of the year and I get them for Easter this year. Who knows...I'll just have to see what happens as the time gets closer. He can change his mind at the drop of a hat and probably will. :rolleyes:
Night everyone!
I'm exhausted! :faint: A few days ago Evan was complaining about pain in his belly.
Poor Evan. I hope it isn't anything serious.
What did you decide?
What books are you reading?
I just started The Time Traveler's Wife.
I am of tomorrow, andplan to relax and Dis and shop!! My favorite things !!!!!:cool1: :cool1:
Mine, too!:thumbsup2
That is strange. :confused3
Hi all!
I'm up early. Mr Diz had to leave at 6am to go to a meeting. I've got ds all ready for school. I'm planning on doing my elliptical this morning - hopefully before Baby Girl wakes up. She has a 10 am dr appt with her ENT to see how her throat is doing after surgery. And to see how the ear is doing after the tubal removal.
Going grocery shopping after that and then home to wait for the annual termite inspection people. Pretty exciting day, huh?:laughing:
Why is it that I am 36 years old and I am stressed over my family finding out about stuff I did in high school? :rotfl2: My parents were really strict and kept really tight reigns on us. My mother is super religious and if we ever did anything wrong, we got the bible pulled out on us. (I know a lot about the bible :lmao: ) My father was very over bearing and downright verbally mean sometimes. I was talking to my brother during our sister's weekend and he told me that he is still afraid of what my parents think. I am the same way. He lives in the same town as them and rarely calls or goes to see them because of this. I don't live close, but I don't tell them things and will avoid calling them if I think they will have an opinion of whatever I've done. For example: I never told them we bought into DVC because I know my father would disapprove of the money spent, even though it is none of his business and we've never asked them or anyone else for financial help.
