Thanks to everyone for well wishes. I just feel like crap, even though there's nothing particularly horribly wrong. I'm stuffed up and have a cough. Janet, I had the headache as a starter, be careful.

I wish someone would stop jamming a pencil into my brain over my eye, is all.

I hope everyone had a very nice Valentine's Day. We watched Prince Caspian with a pizza and that was nice. I'm watching Grey's. I don't much, but I've always liked it. I caught the "second half of the crossover" on Private Practice last night, which is another show I don't typically watch, but enjoy when I get the chance. Oops, and now it's on again. I think I need to get these on DVD's, both shows.

D is safely in Colorado.

I felt there was more to say, but I've lost it. I have no head today. So I'm sorry, whomever I meant to talk to.

It's got septus (sp?) and needs a new hard drive

KC never heard of that virus when I asked him. Also there is NO reason to need a new hard drive, they can be reformatted a million times. it would be wiped out if reformatted but not damaged. it's generally a way for places that fix pc's to get $$. They may need to remove your virus and reformat your pc but don't let them charge you for something new you did not need!!! KC was very upset for you when I told him that!

So it costs you nearly 2 hours work just to get there????

Yea it cost $13 a car trip-. Home I took the subway ($2) but it just takes too darn long.

When you got hired did they say that they can switch you to whichever location they wanted? Is there a cheaper way to get there other than a car service?

I was hired for the other store but the boss was too paranoid that I wouldn't learn properly from the girls at the other store. The other store is about 45 min on the train so I'd have to get up at like 6:30am and put in a long day on top of it, and i am just not ready for that yet, adjusting to this weird schedule, ya know?!

Oh Fockers what a loooong and carpy few days it has been....

Here's the work story...it's a doosey...

So I wasn't thrilled about going to the other store, but I went. As soon as I get there I get put onto food prep work. It was fine except standing up. I deal for a while because it didn't bother me much (standing still is usually the only thing I can't do for long periods of time), until it was suddenly 2pm and I had been standing up since 9am. All through skewering grapes onto little 6 inch skewers I answer the cordless phone. The boss constantly yells at me while I'm on the phone about "do this" or "do that" about what i am saying to the customers. It's frustrating. He's on overload because of Valentine's Day and freaking out about everything, very high strung.

They bought us lunch, so that was nice. After lunch I tell the boss I am hurting because of my back. They are aware of my back situation. He sends me into his office to answer phones. Is it for a freakin' hour and change in a chair, freezing, hurt back, the cold making it worse, and maybe took 3 orders. There are 2 other girls answering the phones too, at the other location.

Finally I get up the nerve to ask when I am staying until and he says "why do you wanna go home?" I said "Yea kinda I am hurtin' pretty bad and practically falling asleep sitting in the office" he says "goodnight then". Nothing more, no emotion.

I haven't heard from him yet. But since it was V day today I didn;t think I would. So who knows if I still have a job. I am hoping to hear from him tomorrow, if not I will call him by Monday.

Crazy right???

So needless to say I am in BAD pain today and all last night too because of the standing. KC and I did nothing today. We stayed home and had some sushi and watched Rent Filmed Live on Broadway. Which BTW is amazing!!!!!

Sorry it was so long but I needed to vent....I will prob not be around till Monday as tomorrow we are seeing Rent @ the NJ Performing Arts Center with a friend and his wife!

It looks like everyone else had a pretty good V-Day.

Sorry I missed you Janet. That is usually when I am on here. I was so tired because of getting up early yesterday, I fell asleep on the couch around midnight. I have to work tonight so I'm going back to bed in a few.

We went to town yesterday to price antennas and do some other shopping. It is going to cost us about $270 for an antenna and all the fixins for the digital reception. We went to Borders and I used a gift card that I got from work to buy Doug the new Dean Koontz book for his VD gift. We had V-Day lunch at the local pizza joint - Arni's. Well Doug had pizzza and a sandwich. I had a salad. They make the best salads! Then we went to a diy store to get some new guts for a leaky toilet, some wiring for the basement, etc.

When we got home, I cooked up some broccoli (puffy broccoli - good)and we ate leftovers from Friday. We watched TV and I read the 2009 UG. Watched a crazy Sci-Fi movie called Splinter. Weird and gross. I liked it.

Talked to Rockie too! She and her DH (Sarge) were letting the oldest DD drive the Dakota to a friend's house last night for the first time on her own. Rockie was completely livid that Sarge told DD she could. She was sitting on pins and needles until she got a call from DD saying she made it fine. It had been a total of 5 minutes since she left. I do get such a kick out of Rockie's dramas!

I'm gonna go catch up on some TRs.

I went to bed around 12:30 last night. We took the boys to see Push. They didn't think it was great....
Bob and I saw Gran Torino with Clint Eastwood while the boys were at Push. WOW! The best movie I've seen in years! Amazing.

Then we went to Buffalo Wild Wings. The teenages had their weight's worth of buffalo wings! Then home for cupcakes.
It was good. I like 16 yr old birthday parties! No work. Movie, feed them, then you're off the hook. Whoo hoo!
No pin the tail, no treat bags....love it!

I just whipped up some blueberry muffins. (they're sort of homemade, I use bisquick but you have to add other stuff too!) I'm going to start the coffee and pop them into the oven.

Today is the Daytona 500!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!!
So, that's where I'll be, in front of the TV! Have a great Sunday!

I wanted to warn other DVC owners, I just posted this on the DVC boards, but I was double checking a change I made to my Sept reservation and noticed I was overcharged points for this week's stay. Looks like they charged me for Magic season which starts tomorrow and not Dream season, it's a difference of 5 points, and of course I noticed after member services is closed for the day

V-Day was nice for us. We went on a date. I can't remember the last time we did that! We saw The Reader. WOW... powerful and thought provoking movie. It really was deep.

Then we went to dinner at a "nice" steakhouse. We had a GC which we hadn't used, but it no where near covered the well overprices meal. I am going send an email to the restaurant to give them a review of their overpriced, yet non memorable menu and atmosphere. My $40 6 oz. petite filet was well done and served on this little metal cooking tray that wiggled around every time I tried to cut into the meat. blah...

I thought of two more things I meant to say last night.

Jo, glad the laptop is back!

Janet, somehow, some way, we've not seen a single Power Rangers episode probably since summer (even though they both dressed up as the 2008 versions for Halloween...) I have hope that we're done. It helped that when we got the new TV and the HD DVR, I told them we couldn't save episodes on the DVR and so we didn't see as many, and then it's on at a later time for school...

I don't know much else. The boys of course got up before 7:00, because it's a weekend. But, they were very good and just came downstairs and did the Wii until I got up.

I am very phleghmy and if I am upright too long, I have this kind of closed-throat, tickly cough, yucky breathing issue. Fun!

The headache is gone, though, which just tends to make everything easier to deal with.

But I still don't feel like sledding, skating, etc. And I don't know if the boys are going to let me get away with sitting at home today. I'm trying to figure out a low-impact activity, so to speak. I'm not particularly interested in Coraline, and I will have to see if there's something else to see, because that sounds about right. It's not sitting on the couch, but it's close!

Yesterday, I spent a long wonderful day in Santa Fe even though I'm feeling like death warmed over. It was a fantastic day!

Woody is being oddly reluctant to see a movie. He's playing outside now with the neighbor kid, but the neighbors are going to Ikea later, so I thought, "Well, when they go, we can see the movie." But he says no. Buzz really wants to go, which is a dilemma. I could take it or leave it (the current thought is "Hotel for Dogs") but I'll tick someone off now no matter what we do.

We haven't seen any episodes either. They come on too late on school nights, however they do show them on Saturday's on ABC around noon. If we are home (Which isn't often) he will see them. This new one will be on SAturday Mornings starting March 7th, so beware

Back from Target. Of course I got hings that weren't on my list, mostly for Jimmy. A lamp for his room, some new underwear for him, and some new sheets for his bed. I got all the sancks for the week for his class. $200 later

Jim took JImmy over to his mom's with a little bunch of flowers for V DAy and then he is going to take him to the playground. TOmorrow my friend Denise and her DH have to work, so we are going to be watching Matt and ROse all day. It's nice becasue then Jimmy won't be byhimself all day, KWIM?

I'm doing laundry and watching the Flaers game.
