I get a glazed look over my eyes when my troop mentions camping. I tell them "Girls, Mrs. Tracy does not camp!" Thankfully my co-leader does. So, on our first overnight, Mrs. Tracy will be helping out at the campsite until dark and then checking into the nearest hotel.

Please...when I was in ROTC in College they told us we had to go on a weekend Boot Camp type thing. My first 2 questions were where do I plug in my hairdryer and where do I go to the bathroom. I din't like thier answers Needless to say I did not conitue on and join the Army

We ate at Garden Grill last summer, for the first time. DH didn't want to, but I booked it anyway. It ended up being his favorite TS. The restaurant was not rotating when we went, though.

Phew finally done babyittng for the day ! Judy , dsil and girls all went to see Twilight, Judy and Samantha LOVED it ,Steph was a little confused and DSIL hated it , thought it was gonna be a Vampire movie with regular type vampires !!

On a much more serious note have you all heard about theat plane crash, it is only 20 miles from here and is all over the news . 50 people dead , just awful

Here are some pics of the damage to my roof.

1 of the quotes for repair was $800. I didn't realize when I called this roofer that he knew Doug's family. Small world! He said we only need that side of the roof reshingled. No water damage.

The antenna is destroyed. No damage to the roof there though.

We are going in town tomorrow to price new antennas. We were planning on replacing the shingles and antenna this spring anyway, so this isn't as big of a deal as it could have been. This is what the grass looked like after that wind shear. It's all mashed down in 1 direction.

I accidentally found 1 of my VD gifts. Yeah, you know I did, I looked. It was a ring that I gave Doug to have fixed about 3 years ago. He finally did it. Better late than never.
The real surprise was this big cutie....

He's life size and adorable. His butt tag says 'Happy Valentines Day'.

And since a few of us have opened the door on proposal's - here's mine.

6 months after Doug and I met, we went to Cedar Point for the weekend with his niece (S)and her DH(J). We stayed off site. It was summertime. The weather was hot but gorgeous all day at the park. Everything was wonderful.

Toward the end of the day, a storm began to roll in. Doug, S and J wanted to play some game before we exited the park. I wanted to get a shirt from the first store you see at the front of the park. So I told them to meet me there.

I got the shirt and the biggest lightning storm I have ever witnessed let go. The rain was more than buckets. It was more like bathtubs full of it falling. You couldn't see and of course everyone crowded into the store.

I knew they wouldn't be able to see me so I ventured forth to the edge of the crowd. I waited. And waited. And waited some more. While I waited I became a bit agitated. We didn't have a cell phone at the time so I had no idea where they were.

I decided to brave the storm and head out to the parking area. The rain was still very heavy and I couldn't see very well at all. I didn't realize that at that same moment, Doug was running to go back into the park to find me. We had to have passed within a few feet of each other.

By some miracle, I found the van. S and J were there with no Doug. I was like, 'Where did you guys go? I was right up front.' They said they looked in the shirt shop they thought I was in and couldn't find me so they thought I had already run to the van.

So we waited. And waited. I was thinking of running back in but J said Doug would be back in a few.

He did make it back. He was PO'ed at me. We were all soaked. I think some yelling commenced and then he made me drive back to the hotel which didn't add to my already fuming attitude. S and J were surprisingly very quiet.

We make it back to the hotel. We didn't speak the whole way. I jumped in the shower and got dressed for bed. As I pulled back the sheets Doug grabbed me and said he was sorry. He literally got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. He started crying and said he thought he had lost me and he didn't want that to happen again. What a way to sucker a girl. Of course I said yes and that I was sorry too.

Come to find out, there were 2 shirt stores on the way out. They stopped at the wrong one. They panicked thinking that when the storm hit I beat it to the van. The End.

BTW - We didn't make it to Indy for McCormick and Schmicks. We had to wait for the estimates and the insurance adjuster until 2PM. I told Doug to cancel because I didn't want to face the crowds in the down town area. We went to the place I took him out to on our very first Valentines together. It's called Maple Corner. YUM! It's been there for at least 50 years. It's not real fancy but the food is awesome. The margarita I had was darn good too!

I don't know what we'll do tonight. Probably stay home. I'll cook and we will watch some movies.

We're in a the lobby waiting for our friends to meet us so we can head over to the convention/competition. We meet at 7am with our director and the competition is over at 11pm. We'll be tired, but happy.

Millions are going to have a BAD Valentines Day... as T ( aka Disneyland Mama) was apparently drinking too much... and after doing some Drunken Wii Games...and someone mentioning Girl Scout Camp.... went on a Killing Spree.

T is the WW Cheer leader.. . I need a KICK in the pant to get motivated again... But when you are having trouble walking... exercising is even harder.
Dang it... I guess I am going to have to go back to Orthopedics... BUT I CAN NOT DO KNEE SURGERY AGAIN... Not now

Scott took Sarabeth for swim lessons... so I got the morning off... except for "Mama's Kitchen".. ON Saturday... you can request anything for Breakfast. Scott had Whole Wheat Pancakes, Sarabeth had Banana Bread Muffins, Joshua... Well He wanted "Potato Skins" .

The boys and I are off to basketball in a few minutes, D is out the door in a little bit more than that.

I am sick. We didn't stay out very late last night, and I slept horridly and just want to lie down. I think after basketball I'm just going to laze around all darn day long. The boys and I will do pizza and a movie since we didn't last night.

Off to Dora the Explorer Live iin about an hour. Should be fun and then I think we are going to go to the Mall I want to go to the DIsney Store. I hear they are having a good sale, plus I want to add some money to my gift card for the trip!

We are order pizza for dinner tonight so we will probably stop at blockbuster and get a couple of movies on the way home too.

Happy Valentine's Day!

The boys have music lessons this morning. Gus isn't happy about going, he didn't practice this week and he knows his instructor will know! I told him, that's good. I hope he gives you HECK! Why am I paying for lessons if he isn't going to practice.
Bob is being a sweetie and driving them because the roads are very slippery.

After lessons we are taking SD and his buddies to a movie and then eating at Buffalo Wild Wings. Then home for cupcakes and presents. Whew!
