Hey everyone:wave2: :wave2:

:wave2: Have fun tonight!

================================================

Jo, which of the 3 mini golf courses do you like best at WDW? Which one do you think Jimmy would like? (I figured better to ask here than over on MP;) )

This just goes to show...be careful what you wish for Miss I want snow;)
Me Too Only know that it is Mid February... maybe we had just better forget it . We have had N O T H I N G !!!!

That is unacceptable Katt!!!!   You must go to the school district next. Immediately. If they don't want want to do anything remind them that you have your local news station on spped dial! ::yes::

Well with a kid with Special needs I am used to being Vocal. I just thought schools were a little more proactive with Bullying issues ( but in Jens and Jon's Case.. I guess they are really looking the other way :guilty:  )
I am working on a something... but at this LATE STAGE.. do not think it will matter... but I do not have a problem going to media.

can I answer that one... Go to the Winterland mini golf over there by Blizzard Beach. The holes are Soooo cute.. and when the ball goes in certain areas things pop up, or water squirts.. or a train goes around a Christmas tree.

Hi guys - thanks for all the good thoughts. So far, it doesn't look like anyone I know was affected by the crash in Buffalo. Just reallly, really sad.

And I'm off to a meeting about budget cuts in a bit. THAT should do wonders for my mood! :rotfl2:

::yes::

So, I reached for my phone, and my purse wasn't there! I stopped, checked the back where I put the groceries - nope. :sad2:

I drove back to the store and they had found it in the cart. Everything was still there, thank goodness.

 OMG! Good thing you didn't lose it. That really would've been a :headache:

.

And on Sarabeth's school BULLY" issues.. basically nothing is happeneing... in short Guidance ( who shared the letter with the no account horrible CRAPPY GROUCHY Principal) said that Ms Nicholas... ( the Principal:mad:  ) suggests that you make sure the teachers know what is going on... :headache: ... I THOUGHT THEY DID

That is unacceptable Katt!!!!   You must go to the school district next. Immediately. If they don't want want to do anything remind them that you have your local news station on spped dial! ::yes::

Here is the e-mail I received from "Guidance"

Thanks you for contacting me. I shared your email with Mrs. Nichols. She recommends you contact the teacher about the specific issues. They need to address this, instead of me, as they have direct contact with the situation.

I had Satabeth visit with me during her break this morning. She was very clear about her desire to have another friend. She is very confident with her "constant" friend (whose name I can't use in an email for security reasons) and she has two other friends she enjoys talking with and who also share lunch with her. She doesn not perceive her school enrivonment to be extremely uninviting..today!

Sarabeth was very quick to note the people in her class with whom she does not care to have a closer relationship. None of the boys were of interest in that category. She was specific about two girls whose actions she felt were not accaptable; therefore she didn't want to be friends with them. She spoke of one person who was still nice to her, but isn't a close friend any more. Sarabeth also assured me she had been trying very hard to be nice to people since we chatted about a situation earlier this year--when she realized she might not have been making the best choices in her interactions. I felt she was sincere in this; all three of her teachers are out of school for a planning sessions for next year so I was unable to speak to them this morning, nor yesterday afternoon. I will do so when our schedules allow.

Sarabeth has pinpointed a student who is not in her homeroom, but in some of her other classes, whom she would like to know better. I have set up a lunch meeting in my room for next week for them to play games, or what ever they choose. she seemed delighted with this.

I, again, encourage you to speak to the teachers noted in your email as Mrs. Nichols asked me to convey to you. If the "silent bullying" exists, all her teachers need to be notified of this so they, too, can make sure it is addressed. Sarabeth is in a very difficult stage for most all 5th grade girls. Their social like becomes extremely important and they often become overly dramatic in their measures to feel included--some are hurtful while others are too sensitive! The problem is, this
view point changes from hour to hour and day to day in their perception of themselves and others...I will do what I can to support her, but you have to approach the teachers for the other issues.

So How would you all feel right now.

I am working on my "Letter" for her teachers... Thing is her Homeroom teacher does know the issues.. and when I spoke with her at the BEGINNING of the school year.. she was putting some blame on Sarabeth.

Well some of this Turning on Sarabeth began happening about this time last year... so would you open up to people who were "dissing" you and talking about you ??
I know that this age is tough and girls are horrible.. but I really thought this would blow over by now.

Disney needs a catagory... I SURVIVED BULLIES Category and a Free front of the line pass for 1 day.. for doing so.. Right Jen :guilty:

Well. Hmmm. D remembers our first "date" pretty well, because it was indeed Valentine's Day. The fact that we'd been pretty much attached at the hip (and elsewhere :rolleyes1 ) for about nine months before having a real date is moot, right? :rotfl: We'd been friends for SO long before we started, um, we'll call it dating, and we just hung out a lot more than ever went on dates. :lmao:

He proposed a mere 4 years and 5 days later, :rotfl: the day before my birthday when we went out to celebrate it. :) We did get married within 9 months, then, though.
Bob proposed to me on Valentine's Day 1992. I was NOT surprised, I picked out the ring. :goodvibes He picked up the ring (it was designed, and made for me) on the way home in a torrential downpour. He came in the apartment, SOAKED and dripping, and got down on one knee and asked me to please marry him. I said YES, laughing, because it's not like he didn't know my answer...and he said, "Ok, can I got have a hot shower and dry clothes now?" LOL

Early spring is just crazy at my house. Three kids, three sports, three different locations but overlapping times :headache: So I'm not here as much as I wish I could be....but I miss you all and hope everything is good.

I'll check back in a bit.
Miss you Kate! Those boys keep you runnin'. Have a good Friday!

Thankfully I'm feeling a little better. Hopefully I get even better over the weekend because I don't want to be too sicky in the Motherland.
Hoping you are ALL better for that!

At work, but it should be quiet and it is a 3 day weekend!:woohoo: Going to see Dora the Explorer Live tomorrow, so that should be fun;) Other than not much planned for the weekend.

Have a good day everyone:goodvibes
That sounds fun, Janet! I hope you have a good weekend!

Speaking of Friday the 13ths and engagements that when my ex and I got engaged. He had something special planned for Valentine's Day but he made the mistake of telling me he had a surprise for me. Well, I couldn't wait I wanted it then and there. He pulled out the ring and I was floored. I should have known our marriage was to be doomed from the beginning. :rotfl:
Hi Lori!
Enjoyed your proposal story! LOL.... Next guy better get on his knee! :rotfl2:

I love Top Gear, it's so funny, how up to date are your shows?
Bob loves that show! He dvr's it....

Jo said:
But I have got 5 10-11 year old girls here running around screaming so that's fun :rotfl:
Skeery! :scared1:

I think I'd rather be poked in the eye with a dull pencil:scared:
OK! :thumbsup2 I'll call Dr. Seigle for you!!!!!!

I came out, loaded up the car, and got almost all the way home (thankfully it's only about a 10 minute drive) and remembered that I needed to tell D that Dr. Belle is coming to visit next month (woohoo!) He would probably want to ask for some days off, and he'd need to do it today.

So, I reached for my phone, and my purse wasn't there! I stopped, checked the back where I put the groceries - nope. :sad2:

I drove back to the store and they had found it in the cart. Everything was still there, thank goodness.

I swear, sometimes if my head weren't attached... :headache:
Been there, done that. AT Sea World! On our honeymoon. Thankfully some kind soul turned it and everything was in it. It's because you don't feel well. I think....:confused3
I tell my kids, when I'm sick or under the weather I forget EVERYTHING. I've left glasses, sunglasses, phones, cameras and my purse. Really!

Jo, which of the 3 mini golf courses do you like best at WDW? Which one do you think Jimmy would like? (I figured better to ask here than over on MP;) )
Not trying to be contrary to Katt, but I thought WinterSummerland was hard. We LOVE Fantasia. Way easier for the little kids....IMHO.

So How would you all feel right now.

1. I'd call her and tell her that I want her to set a Face To Face meeting with her, me, and the teachers in question. No more fooling around!

2. I'd edit her typos, misspellings and grammatical errors and send it back to her. She should be ashamed to be in education with writing skills like that.
JMHO.

Ok, so volunteering went well. I got the grocery shopping all done too! I picked up a card for each of the boys and for Bob for Valentine's Day. Tomorrow we are taking SD and his friends to see a movie and then to dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner. How Romantic! Hahaha!

I am so glad that the kids have a four day weekend! WhooHoo! And Bob has Monday off too.

I'm off to pick up SD in a minute. Then we're going to Gus' Valentine's Party at school. (His last one.....:sad1: )

I'll check in later! Have a good afternoon!

MEL:banana:

OK, I understand. Just making sure you're OK.
:rotfl2: I'm fine thanks LY

JO-I see your cross, I hope all is ok:hug: . Look at the bright side you got more snow, right??:rotfl2:
True but it's all gone already, there's no pleasing me :rotfl2:

Jo, which of the 3 mini golf courses do you like best at WDW? Which one do you think Jimmy would like? (I figured better to ask here than over on MP;) )
Yeah I'm a bit busy there, plus it's extra special here  I'd go for either of the Winter Summerland courses, sorry Mel we thought Fantasia was quite hard for little ones, plus we love the theming and it's so easy to get to as it's at BB!

Hi guys - thanks for all the good thoughts. So far, it doesn't look like anyone I know was affected by the crash in Buffalo. Just reallly, really sad.
I'm so pleased

Yes to which? :rotfl2:

David just said here's the ring, very romantic :rotfl2:

Hope that's going OK!

 OMG! Good thing you didn't lose it. That really would've been a :headache:

I didn't have much, if any cash, but the debit card, credit card, insurance cards, my phone... I'm so pleased it was there and intact!

So How would you all feel right now.

Katt, I may be in the minority here, and I certainly don't mean it to be rude or mean - I feel so badly for Sarabeth's situation, but I find this to really actually be very encouraging. If she has friends to eat lunch with and one constant friend, with another in the works, where the guidance counselor is trying to help set that up, I think it's great.

I would maybe only make sure to ask the teachers to assign partners instead of letting the kids pick. Again, I'm not trying to be mean about it, but I do know that I would have always picked my best friend as a partner if I could. There were plenty of kids that I liked or at least didn't dislike, but given the choice, I would always pick my best friends, if that makes sense? I think having assigned partners would both eliminate any hurt feelings and also might let more kids get to know Sarabeth.

Though I agree with Mel that the typos are awful... ;) It does sound like she's talking to Sarabeth and trying to help. Maybe I just want to think the best of people. Anyway, yes, I think she, or you, should talk to the teachers again, but it doesn't sound so bad to me. She listened when there were people that Sarabeth said she didn't want to be closer to, the boys aren't on the list... I'm trying to look on the bright side! Good luck.

I'm sorry you have to go through this.

::yes:: Me, too. My head is not together today... I just now took some cold medicine and god knows if that will make it better or worse. :rotfl:

I am so glad that the kids have a four day weekend! WhooHoo! And Bob has Monday off too.

Nice! We no longer have Monday off because we're using it to make up a snow day, but that's fine with me. D's gone, anyway. :)

David just said here's the ring, very romantic :rotfl2:

:lmao: Nice. ;)

Not trying to be contrary to Katt, but I thought WinterSummerland was hard. We LOVE Fantasia. Way easier for the little kids....IMHO.

No Problem.... She asked Jo.. but I jumped in :confused3 ...We did Fantasia..3 years ago... it MIGHT be easier but it was the theming that the kids loved. Sara actually had 5 holes in one. I had 3:rotfl2:

1. I'd call her and tell her that I want her to set a Face To Face meeting with her, me, and the teachers in question. No more fooling around!

2. I'd edit her typos, misspellings and grammatical errors and send it back to her. She should be ashamed to be in education with writing skills like that.
JMHO.
so you like the typo's huh... guess she forgot to turn on spell check.

I have more of a problem with the Principal... I actually "DISLIKE HER STRONGLY:rolleyes1

I swear, sometimes if my head weren't attached... :headache:
I know how you feel. Our last trip to WDW, I was responsible for packing and getting the kids and everything together and then I drove to DH's office to pick him up because we were going to leave from there. When we got home, I realized I did not put the alarm on AND the back door was unlocked. I didn't tell dh.
Today is an "Anniversary" of Sorts for Scott and I .He kissed me for the first time 23 years ago today... 1 month later we were engaged... 9 months later.. we got married....
Happy "Anniversary."
I'm not superstitious, but it happens that a lot of pretty horrible things have gone down in my life in the days between my Bday and Friday the 13th's in Feb.

Oh, no! But I'm glad I'm not the only one. ;)

Doing a bit of snooping... or did he MEAN for you to find the ring??
He picked my up from work and handed me a receipt for an oil change which I put in the glove box with all the other car receipts and there the ring was. ;)

Z, glad you're feeling better. :cutie:

V,

Dawn, have fun. See you Monday. :goodvibes

Rosie, enjoy your mini vacation. :thumbsup2

Janet, is Dora fun? :confused3

Jen, see you next week too. :3dglasses

Katt, congrats to SB! :woohoo:Even if she has to wait to see where she placed. ;) about school.

I love Top Gear, it's so funny, how up to date are your shows? Has Richard Hammond had his horrendous accident yet?
I just started watching so I'm not sure. In the one we just saw, they were racing Germans. :rotfl:

Honestly, I can't blame him too much. His father, though a lawyer, is also an alcoholic, so he was not good at keeping the family in good financial form. D waited until he was absolutely sure that he could support me and a family before even proposing, (even though at the time I'd been supporting myself quite nicely for a number of years,) because he didn't want to do to us what his dad did. Was he a little TOO cautious? Probably, but I get it.
D's good people. :thumbsup2

I forgot to tell you the most interesting part of my morning, so far.
I so would have freaked! :scared1:

Ok I need to run  all around. P and I are doing V-day tonight as we couldnt get a sitter tomorrow.

Ahhhh. Bob. :lovestruc

Mo and I had a lovely time at lunch. I got there about an hour early to take pictures for my class and it was crazy! Where are all these people coming from? BD was, as usual, lovely although not very crowded. We did did Muppets and then Mo left to catch her plane whilst I stayed to take more photos. As I was on the tram going to the parking lot, someone was in the road, I guess flagging down a CM. There was a person on the ground in the tram waiting area with blood coming out of their head. Scarry. I hope they are ok.

I know that this age is tough and girls are horrible.. but I really thought this would blow over by now.
It really is a tough age and so is middle school.

David just said here's the ring, very romantic :rotfl2:

Yes, very romantic.

************************************************

I don't have any romantic proposal stories.

One of my friends from HS that I connected with on FB told me that he always wanted to go out with me. Then he told me that when we were at a party once, I kissed him. I had been drinking. I have no recollection of this and he never mentioned it to me because he said he knew it didn't mean anything. I wish he would have never told me. I was relieved that he said it was only a kiss on the lips - as in, I didn't try to "speak French."

I hate suspence... We got a letter stating Sarabeth has won an award for her "Reflections" entries at County Level again this year... HOWEVER.. this time they did not tell us where she placed.. or if only one of her entries placed. Usually they say "you have won 1st place... will you be coming that evening to receive your award ??"
This year the letter states you have won an award "either 1st 2nd or 3rd. "
Well, that narrows it down.:headache: I'll know something on March 2.

Congrats to SB on the win even though the waiting part stinks! And I kind of have to agree with CE on the guidance councelor thing. In a way it does kind of sound like good news but I would keep on them about talking with the teachers and making them well aware of the situation as well, wether you have to e-mail every single day to get it done or go in face to face at least its getting done.

But I have got 5 10-11 year old girls here running around screaming so that's fun :rotfl:

:scared1: I just got done with Lindsey's V-day party and 19 5-6 year olds. I am beat!

I forgot to tell you the most interesting part of my morning, so far.

I went to the grocery to grab the waters for the school party (and maybe a little wine :rolleyes1 :rotfl: ) after I volunteered.

I came out, loaded up the car, and got almost all the way home (thankfully it's only about a 10 minute drive) and remembered that I needed to tell D that Dr. Belle is coming to visit next month (woohoo!) He would probably want to ask for some days off, and he'd need to do it today.

Nice! We no longer have Monday off because we're using it to make up a snow day, but that's fine with me. D's gone, anyway. :)

We've had Monday taken off of us as well due to snow. Actually I think DR would have had school but Lindsey would have been off which is really weird.

Mo and I had a lovely time at lunch. I got there about an hour early to take pictures for my class and it was crazy! Where are all these people coming from? I'm enjoyng the engagement stories. Very sweet! :goodvibes

Oh man CE! Glad someone had turned it in!

Thanks, me too! :goodvibes

The boys got home and had 2nd quarter report cards. Good all around, hooray! :thumbsup2 They're both reading above grade level. Buzz needs some handwriting practice, but we knew that. His listening and math are both up from 1st quarter, too. Woohoo!
