I have no idea what the numbers mean - never been tested, as mine have all been easy to see - but something to consider: I've had reactions to a whole host of meds. It's not always the active ingredient causing it, but the fillers they use to make the pill or liquid. They can be additives and/or colorings and/or flavorings. Leo can't take any kind of red liquid meds without breaking out in hives.

Does he have a problem with Red dye V? My SIL can't have anything that has red dye (#5 I think it is). Includes Jello, Juice, and other things I can't think of right at this moment

BTW - So great about Leo and the riding lessons!

Well my laptop looks as though it can be saved, the man took it away and will bring it back repaired tomorrow, cost £60 though :scared: I also need a new battery which is about another £50!!!

The sun is shining here so hopefully I'll get to play a few holes tomorrow as on Friday I'm representing the club in a match!
Well - the laptop thing could be worse. At least it can be repaired.
I hope you get to golf.:thumbsup2
Filthy minds.....:sad2: :rotfl:
Who has a filthy mind? :confused3 :guilty:
I'm off to photography class. Today it's landscapes. Then to lunch with my sister. We're still trying to sell our spring training tickets. Has anyone used Stub Hub or something? Next year we'll get them in October since we're renewing so we can put them up earlier but this year it's last minute. ;)
I think that is great you are taking photography classes. I would like to take some fun classes, but I guess I'll have to wait until Baby Girl starts schools, which will be in the fall. Of course, I probably won't get to then because I'll probably go back to work then.
Well, Ab is home sick---took her to the doctors yesterday and we ended up at the hospital for abdominal xray and blood work.
Sorry to hear about Ab.
Ok! It's done!

I am OFFICIALLY booked into a room at Coronado Springs Resort. They gave me a good deal for being a passholder! Two nights came to $250. WhooHoo!

Ok, I can get excited now......

MEL:BANANA:

That sounds great! Those DVC points go fast, don't they? We have a trip booked in June and it used up almost all our points.

We have the allergy results (remember he broke out in hives), he has no food allergies, but is a "4" for dust mites and a "2" for dogs, pecan trees, household molds, and Kentucky bluegrass. I guess those of you with allergy experience know what those numbers mean? Anyhow, he sleeps on a metal loft 6' in the air. We already use hepa filters. He did sleep on the floor with the dog 2 nights prior to the hives, so we are going to do this again to rule in/out.
I don't know anything about those allergy tests. I hope you get it all figured out.
ds8 broke out once. I thought he had bug bites on him and was freaking out. When I took him to the dr, the dr said it was an allergic reaction to something. The only thing I could figure is that I used a different laundry detergent. He's not had another breakout since.
Good Morning Everyone! :wave2:

Hey T! :wave2:

Forgot to post this for Kat, photos of the new refillable mugs Here!!!

Thank you for posting this! I like them but I do miss the resort mugs. However, I would rather Disney save money on mug printing than have to make cuts in other areas. :goodvibes

I like the Mickey theme and colours, I saw it posted at the top of the DIS when I logged in :thumbsup2

ITA Slate. Keep updating attractions, etc...I'll live with the generic mugs!:thumbsup2

I like the new mugs since they are different colored lids and handles. We can each get one and not worry about which is which.!:thumbsup2

could be red dye #40

I don't know anything about those allergy tests. I hope you get it all figured out.

We had not changed a thing other than him sleeping on the floor with the dog. It was a strange coincidence that he broke out the day CogAt testing was to begin and went away a few hours after we determined he wasn't going to school that day. A little kid should not have that much anxiety over a test.

:yay: Mel!

Carrie- I'll take pics. I didn't get the balloons to hang this year. :confused3

Jo- Do you know if we get the bday gift card at the desk or only at the parks? Also- what's the deal with mugs? I've never thought about them, but they are cute. :cutie:

That's it...I knew it had a number!:thumbsup2

:sad2: No he should not. I was actually talking to Jim about this when it was all going on. I don't know about NC, but here in Philly if there is that issue the teacher is supposed to make accomadtions for the child. Either to take the test in a different room and/or give them more time.

the yellow lid makes me feel happy

:goodvibes

========================================================

I forgot to tell you all. Jimmy had to take a reading test yesterday. Spoke to his teacher this morning. Jimmy aced it and is reading above grade level. She also said he sat very still and was very focused (which was always his biggest issue):yay: :yay: :dance3: :dance3:   :cool1: :cool1:

Not Jo, but I'm giving my 2 cents anyway:snooty: If you drink lots of soda and/or coffee/hot tea, lemonade (anything in the fountain machine) I think the mugs are totally worth the $13.00. We use them constantly when we are there and you can refill all you want once you pay the initial $13:thumbsup2

It's all weird. The next 2 days he had testing and came home telling me how much he liked the tests.

Hurray for Jimmy!!! :yay:

Hmmm... It might be worth it to get one to share.

Thanks, not Jo!

And, :yay: , for Jimmy! :cutie:

Morning Ladies,  to everyone
I was a bad focker and only went back 2 pages. Hope I didnt miss anything earth shattering.

That so great you are going for a meet. How fun. Take lots of pics for us!!

Im not a DR of course but my friends son had this same thing and they found out he had a WHEAT ALLERGY(Celiac's).
I will say a prayer all will work out ok.
I will keep that in mind---she had a wheat allergy as a child (along with milk, soy, corn.....)
I have several patients on gluten free diets and it's really tough for them.

But I did hear back from the doctor.....her amylase was a little high (pancreas enzyme) and she has a "cacified" blockage in her intestine. :confused3 THe doctor said it could be a lump of undigested Tums as she has been taking a lot trying to get rid of the stomach pain. Anyway, she has to take Miralax and Zantac for 2 weeks and then get everything rechecked. She is also gonna schedule her with a GI doc.

Jen - Great update! :goodvibes

Just another flyby before I go to bed.... Been a long night for my family. My sister called at 1am to let me know that our step grandfater passed away shortly before her call. So if I am even more "gone" than normal you all know why....

Night

 I'm so sorry.

Yay on the laptop being able to get fixed. And good luck with golf!

Well, Ab is home sick---took her to the doctors yesterday and we ended up at the hospital for abdominal xray and blood work. She's had abd pain for over a month and is actually losing weight---whenever a bite of food hits her stomach, she is cramping. :confused3 (and of course she only weighs 118):headache:
So we are waiting on the results this morning. Hopefully nothing serious.

 to AB.

I have a DS9 update:

We have the allergy results (remember he broke out in hives), he has no food allergies, but is a "4" for dust mites and a "2" for dogs, pecan trees, household molds, and Kentucky bluegrass. I guess those of you with allergy experience know what those numbers mean? Anyhow, he sleeps on a metal loft 6' in the air. We already use hepa filters. He did sleep on the floor with the dog 2 nights prior to the hives, so we are going to do this again to rule in/out.

He had a 1st visit with a psych Monday and she reduced his Vyvanse to 20mg, but does not feel he is depressed. However, she feels he does have some anxiety and he is going to start monthly sessions.

Good luck with allergy testing and yay in the new meds!

:yay: That is awesome news!

Mel - Yay on the trip! And
Happy Birthday SD!:bday:

Good Afternoon Fockers!

I have been so busy this morning/afternoon that I'm just now getting to sit down. Both kids are in school and I voulnteered at Lindsey's school for the afternoon. Her teacher said she is doing really really well even to the point of not having her on the behavior chart anymore. So, I have no idea what is going on in her little head but I'm glad she's doing great! I think I'm still going to stick with the psychologist appointment for next Monday just to be on the safe side.

That's about if for us. I'm about to head out the door to pick up the kids and then I need to stop at the grocery store for stuff for dinner and probably take the kids to the park. It is so nice out...60's and sunny. They had been predicting rain and high winds all day today but we've had nothing. I'm sure it'll come tonight though.

Hope y'all are having a good day!

Hurray for Jimmy!!! :yay:

That's great Lori. I would keep the appointment too, but then I am a better safe than sorry kind of person!
