:hippie: Fockers!

I'm very tried of the snow now. Looks like we are expecting another 6"-9" with blowing. It will probably be bad when I head to work tomorrow evening!

TE the hotel looks fabulous.

JO the news about the flat is just uncanny. How interesting.

V, I'll trade cities with you any time!

ANGELA I got your Vday card - Thank You!

CE and JANET are ya' ready for some more white stuff?

Hey to all of the rest of you bums!

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Since it is going to get nasty again, we did our shopping today. Doug says he can lift his leg a little higher today. Awesome! His speech is improving a little too. I'll take this as a good sign but I'm not getting too excited yet.

I think a lot of people in Indiana are depressed today. I haven't seen any highlights but it looked like the Colts kinda fell apart in the end. I have to finish watching all the commercials also.

That's it folks! Super-exciting stuff!

Stay warm and dry everyone!

But, since they are both out, I get to play with my favorite partner. ;)
:thumbsup2

Hi! Remember me?
What a mess! Makes no sense that they wouldn't bother to do the neighbors too. :rolleyes: Looking forward to seeing your pics. :thumbsup2

OMG, I am soooo embarrassed! :blush:
:rotfl: You are so funny! I'm sure you're not the first to knock something over.

After that we headed to Wally World to stock up a few essentials with the next storm coming in. I don't like to go there, but $1.97 for bread as oppposed to $3.19 makes it worth the trip.
I had no idea there was that much of a difference. There's a newer one near me too, but it's always so crowded.:sad2:

You don't get to take off for bad weather? :confused3 ;)

ANGELA I got your Vday card - Thank You!
You're welcome. I was a little Scroogie for Christmas, so I wanted to do something. :goodvibes

Glad Doug is improving if even a little. :hug:

I am very depressed about the game and all over the news is Drew Brees at Disney. :sad2: No need to watch the commercials, very lame.

OMG, who killed the thread?:eek:

No way I'm first. :laughing:

Unless you guys tried to ditch me!:idea: HEY! Where is everyone???:guilty:

Where is everyone????????????

Yep :rotfl2: Glad you get to play with your favourite :thumbsup2

Hi! Remember me?
Glad everything went well and yikes on the bed bugs :eek:

OMG, I am soooo embarrassed! :blush:
Whoops :rotfl2:

:rotfl2:

Over $3? :faint: what type of bread is that? A loaf here, either fresh from the bakery section or pre-sliced is about £1 which is at the moment $1.50!

Doug says he can lift his leg a little higher today. Awesome! His speech is improving a little too. I'll take this as a good sign but I'm not getting too excited yet.
Fantastic!

I played a Texas Scramble at golf today, I was in a team of 3 and you all hit your ball, choose the best one and all hit your ball from there, choose the best one all hit from there etc etc. We came 4th and there were 3 prizes :rotfl2: We missed a couple of puts too!!!

CE's at tennis and Janet's snowed under. :rotfl2:

It's cold here again. :rolleyes: Thanks, T. :rolleyes1 :hug:

I was supposed to go to lunch with a friend, but Mitch needs to go to the Air Force base on the coast, so now I'm going with him. :thumbsup2

Stopped at Friend;y's on the way home for lunch.
Oh, how I miss Friendly's! :cloud9:

V, I'll trade cities with you any time!
Ummmm..... NO. :rotfl: But we've got room for two more in FL - c'mon down! ;)

Ooo, that sounds fun! Meant to tell you - Leo thinks he might want to take golf lessons. :thumbsup2

It's cold here again. :rolleyes:
Yep. And rainy, too. :sad2: I miss the sun.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Still nothing new and exciting to report. Work's been busy, which always makes me happy. :) I made a behavior chart for Leo, with entries each day for school and work, and he's (knock on wood) doing much better with controlling himself. Here's hoping I didn't just jinx that! :eek:
Me, too! :)
Sounds like it's a better week, maybe? :hug: Hope so...
*****************************************************
So, I was just settling down with the DIS at 8:55 when the phone rang. Uh, oh - it's the school. Uh, oh - it's the nurse. Thinking "who's sick?" :scared1:
She says, "Were you still coming in today?"
"Huh?" :confused:
"For the 3rd grade vision screening?"
"OH! I never heard which day to come! When was I supposed to be there?"
"8:45."
"I can be there in about a half an hour."
"OK."
Now, I did get an email maybe a week and a half ago, with two vision testing dates, today and next Wed. I said I could do either, just to put me in where they needed me most. Apparently that was today, but the volunteer coordinator never actually TOLD me about it, and since it was ages ago, when I didn't hear anything, I completely and totally forgot about it. :o
I managed to shower and get to school within 25 minutes - wet hair, but clean! - and we got it all done. I felt bad, but this was NOT my fault. ;):rotfl:
Then, the only other errands I needed to do today were to finally mail the MA tax return (we can't e-file with the silly issues) and then fill up the gas cans for the snowblower and generator, just in case. They're saying now that it should only brush us, but it may involve the snowblower, and we were out of extra gas.
I didn't want to hang out with the gas cans in the car the whole time, so when I finished at school, I came back home, got them, and then just got back a bit ago. :thumbsup2
The kids have tennis later. I usually work out during their lesson, but my back is kind of twinging and now that I'm playing tomorrow, I'm going to sit out my workout today. I don't love that, but I think it's smart. :sad2: There's still a touch of coughing going on, too.
Hope you're all having a good day! :grouphug:
You can have lunch once Mitch has gone, enjoy your time with him :goodvibes
Yay, I think you need to come here to have his lessons :rotfl2:
Fingers crossed :goodvibes
It is so cold here and the sky is a funny shade of yellow so I think more snow is on it's way :sad2: I need to play my golf match tomorrow first!!!!
Then I forgot to mention, I got home and had a call from one of the PATT board members. Apparently I've been nominated for next year for Treasurer AND Fundraising Chairperson, and one of the current Volunteer Coordinators has also floated the idea of me doing a year with her, then taking that over. :rotfl: I had nothing to do with any of this. I have to figure out which, if any, would work. I have no interest in the fundraising, so that's an easy choice, but... :scared:
I'm meeting with her on Monday to discuss options and responsibilities involved, etc. :rolleyes:
Then, did I mention the explosion last night? I heard a big "thump" and the house rattled a bit. My first thought was that someone had fallen out of bed, but it was a bit "bigger" sounding than that. I didn't think much more about it, but my neighbor called a couple of minutes later to see if I knew what the noise was. We both checked for a tree fall between/behind the houses, but didn't see anything.
She called back about 20 minutes later - her neighbor on the other side had heard it, then, since she's on the corner by the more main road, had seen fire and police vehicles go into the circle road behind ours. Her DH went to see, and it turned out that a car had exploded on the street! We know nothing else - I can't find anything in the news or the newspaper, but it was really bizarre. I did put it up on FB, and one of the other school moms who is a friend commented that SHE felt it, too, and she's probably a good 'nother mile away! :scared1:
I'll let you know if I find anything more out about it!
OMG they volunteered you for all of that and you weren't there :faint: Hope you can get out of what you want to get out of! Also how bizarre about the explosion I hope no-one was hurt!
Hi All!!!
Quick drive by from work!! :wave:
:wave2:
You've probably seen on FB, which BTW has just changed to the new one :headache: that Jess just won an ipod touch. The doorbell went just before I had to pick Ellie up from dancing and I almost didn't answer as it was dark. Anyway the parcel was adressed to Jess and inside was the touch with a note congratulating her for winning :woohoo: She had entered in about September and said that out of all the prizes on offer she wanted the touch to which I replied "you know you'll never win" looks like I was wrong :rotfl2:
So any good apps that she should get?
Yay Jess!! She's on a streak of good luck lately huh? Tell her to play the lottery. ;) Wait do you guys have a lottery in England??? :confused3
Sorry can't recommend any apps since I don't use I-anything. :upsidedow
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I'm thinking of signing up for the Disney get a day give a day thingy. I just don't know what I want to do yet.

Saw Dear John on Friday. If you liked the Notebook then you'll like this one. It was ok for me, I went to see it 'cause the main guy is hot. :love:

Anyway, not much from me. Still at work, but management left so can play on here longer :rolleyes1

Gonna go over to DVC rent/trade to see if there's anything new.

TTFN!! :tigger:

Me, too - still can't find anything out??? I ran into the neighbor whose DH went and followed the emergency vehicles, :rotfl2: but she doesn't know any more than she did last night.

And, yes. It's nice to know that apparently two or three different somebodies think I'm reliable, but... :rotfl:

Ooh, good for her. Because of the new FB, I've not seen that. :) (Overall, I don't mind it, but it's harder to find the good stuff in ways...)

I like Shazam, which identifies music for you, and Scribble Lite, which is a free "doodling" app. The boys like the free Glow Hockey I got. Most of my other stuff is boring, grown-up crap. :rotfl: (eBay, amazon, ESPN...)

Crap, crap, crap.

I just got a call from the automated school thing - nothing to do with the snow, but school is canceled at our building only tomorrow, due to "mechanical problems."

I'm really bummed - I need to play the tennis - with so many out, I'm pretty much on the hook - but whilst my neighbor can watch the kids, HER son won't be out, so I really hate to take advantage. :( I can't take them, though - if it were at our club, I wouldn't mind, but it's away and they'd not do well on their own there.

I'd rather arrange a playdate with someone else at our school - just because now others from our school might be looking for entertainment (the neighbor's kids go to Catholic school, so they're not affected by this building closure) but since I need them to be away from me, I don't really know that I feel comfortable calling someone to invite my kids to their house. :rotfl: And, most of the kids whom they're both friends with have working moms now, too - so they'll be scrambling themselves, I'm sure. Sigh. :sad2:

I know they are busy at school, but still.

It was one of the volunteer coordinators who dropped the ball (thankfully, not the one I've become good friends with... :rotfl:) But, yeah. Still, she'd never have gotten it done if I'd not come in, so I don't mind. It was just a real surprise to my day! :rotfl2:

And the thing that makes me so angry is her never considering how I would feel about it, and that it's perfectly fine to send pictures of me to who knows whom. I realize I do sound crazy, but I'm so angry. :mad:

:hug: I'm so sorry.

My MIL did something similar a few years ago. They had taken an (almost) entire family picture during the family weekend that the boys and I didn't attend that year (major aside, but it was the big "family meeting" where D's stepdad announced his will/estate plans to everyone, and the spouses weren't invited to that, so I didn't think twice about not going for the weekend - but they did family stuff all the rest of the weekend, so I probably should have gone...), so on her Christmas card, it was that picture, then this HORRID picture of me and the boys on a hike, so I was sweaty, in crap clothes, etc. - while the rest in the "main picture" all were dressed up and so on. She sent it to everyone she knew. Gee, thanks. :rolleyes: At the least, I could have sent her a decent one.

hey all. Working on getting my pcis up at the moment. Video is beign weird and won't play out of the video camera. :confused3

We cleaned a TON today. We went through all the kitchen cabinets and organized the food to see what we have to eat and menu planned for the rest of the month. We went to the supermarket for a few things (what a zoo that was) and wandered the neighborhood a bit just to get some fresh air.

The to-do list is still long tho. Tomorrow has been declared a day of rest so KC can enjoy having a day off. Plus the darn snow isn't helping either. So at least we have food and plenty of movies and games to keep us occupied. Then the mega laundry-ing begins. I'm not looking fwd to it. I wish we had our own washer/dryer.

Anyways I'm off to read some. Night!

Hey CE!
Sorry about the school cancelling

And the thing that makes me so angry is her never considering how I would feel about it, and that it's perfectly fine to send pictures of me to who knows whom. I realize I do sound crazy, but I'm so angry. :mad:

:sad2: Not crazy. The least she could've done was email you the pic before she did that and ask you if it was ok w/ you.

Anyways I'm off to read some. Night!

Whatcha' reading these days Kat?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Morning all!
Well I got a schedule change this month in my job to have 1 day off in the week :woohoo:. Originally it's to be Fridays, but the other girl at my job who has the same position as me is on leave so until she comes back we re-scheduled it to Wednesdays off since we're overstaffed that day. I really don't care as I'm just happy to have a day off in the week.
So just gonna run around and do some errands today. Not much else to report.
TTYL!
Hello from Juno, Alaska...wait...not Juno, right Philadelphia, although right now you'dnever know the difference:rotfl: I wasn't around yesterday becasue they actually shut us down for today so I had tons of stuff to get done for work before I could leave, which I wanted to do before the snow actually started and I ran to the store on my way home.
The weatrher is carppy/ It snowed 4 or so inches over night, then it sleeted/froze on top of that and now we are expecting another foot and a half. I am sick of winter:sad2:
This one is expected to be so bad that they announced that school were closed and my job shut down (basically the whole city), at 2:00 yesterday. I have a feeling Jim and Jimmy may be off the rest of the week. Jimmy is supposed to have a valentines party on Friday and everyone is supposed to bring something. I have brownie mix, so I will make those if it looks like he has school on Friday. Monday is a holiday anyway, so it would make no sense to open and heat the buildings for one day, so I think they are done until Tuesday. The ony thing that stinks is they will probably add school days to the end of the year.
Let's see what I remember reading, since I had a bunch of quotes and they went poof:headache:
Kristel - Great news about Doug:thumbsup2
V - We have found reward charts work great for Jimmy:)
Jo - I know what Texas Scramble is - dad plays all the time;)
Angela - I would be ticked too:hug:
CE - Sorry you got colunteered and hope you were able to make arrangements for the boys today.
Z - :wave: I love middle of the week days off:cloud9:
T - :wave2: Still raining?
Hi to anyone I may have missed. I'm sure I will be back later. Have a great day everyone:goodvibes
Yep we have it twice a week, the prize used to be about £20 million on Saturdays but it's down to about 7 :sad2: Still wouldn't mind winning though :rotfl2:
I wouldn't mind either;)
OK strange question but do you guys send loads of valentines to people?
Not really. Kids usually do them for their class, but you don't send them like Christmas cards or anything like that, alsthought he card companies would love if we did.
Well I won my golf and am now in the final :thumbsup2 we played in bitter wind, snow and bright sun so everything really [/QUOTE
Congrats!
Oh and my rat of a DD changed the password on her ipod touch so I couldn't play on it whilst she was at school :mad::rotfl2:
:rotfl:
