You all were talking about movies earlier and forgot to mention it in my last post, but have any of you seen Julie & Julia? It is a such a nice movie. :thumbsup2 Nice girly movie if you have time. Merly Streep is amazing as always and OMG the food! Almost made me want to go out and buy the Joy of Cooking, but that went away when I told myself I hate cooking. Anyway that's my movie recommendation. :)

I just watched it this week! I loved it. I had hoped the end was different tho! Made me wanna cook!

Right now we are watching the Flyers beat the STINKING Rangers!

HEY! LOL.

Well the trip to the city was a bust.... wanna see why?

I had intended to shop the last minute sales but when we got there at 6:30 tonight I saw just an empty store. Apparently they closed the doors officially at about 12:30pm today. No sales for me. But i did get a purse, some holiday cards and a vest for KC for cheap at Kmart.

So we were walking up the 55th street side of the store and I started the picture taking.

Random Halloween leftover decoration I guess?!

It was really weird to see. I am def a little sad that Disney in NYC is gone. Now I have to go all the way to Queens to go to a stinky Disney Store and prob not find anything for adults. LOL.

We just ordered a late dinner of healthy Chinese food. I am hoping to get a TR update out tonight or tomorrow.

Have a great night everyone!

I need to get Jimmy the 7's for the length, so I like Target becasue they have the adjustable waists!
::yes:: Same here! Why on earth don't they carry slims? :confused3
Poor kiddo:hug: This is why Jim and I need to move there. Then Jim can be the vacation babysitter for all the kids, then they would have each other to play with:thumbsup2
Ooooh, I like that idea! :thumbsup2 :yay:
Comfort is all I care about anymore;)
I seem to be getting to that point myself. But I can't seem to part with a pair of 4" heels that make my foot cramp up 5 minutes after putting them on. Which is why I never wear them. But I can't throw them out, lol!
Ugh, I hope he feels better. 9 days? When does he go back to school?
Thanks, update coming up. Back to school Mon., but WDW in a week! ;)
We saw Disney on Ice - Celebrations this afternoon. Loved it! It had princesses, but it also had stuff for the boys too. Toy Story, Stitch, the fab 5:thumbsup2 Jimmy really liked it. Even the cynic Jim liked it. I will post pics when I get them uploaded onto Photobucket.
Cool! :thumbsup2

I need to get Linds out of the tub and ready for bed. Her 7th birthday is tomorrow so once she's in bed I'm making her cake so it'll be ready in the morning for her.
Happy birthday to her! :yay:

Looks like I'm going to freeze my *** off in Florida, too.
Maybe not - a massive cold front's coming next week, so it might be gone by next weekend! if not... well, there's always the tequila cave. ;)

Morning! I'm sad to report that Leo spiked a fever of 104* last night, but happy to follow that with news of a fever-free sleep (thank you Motrin) and a temp of 98.6* this morning. Here's hoping he continues to improve.

I'm at work and Leo's home with Gramma. Nothing else to report. Happy NYE! :cheer2:

Yep, big, ugly shoes, lol! I got the Marcelles in Hickory:

marcelle_hickory_cabrio.jpg
OK I agree they are pretty ugly, I think I need to see them on though :goodvibes

Good luck with that!
She was actually OK :thumbsup2

Well, my neighbor called and invited all of us (parents, kids, everyone) to their house tomorrow night for another block-ish party. :thumbsup2 Not exactly a romantic night out, but I'm glad to have plans. And, for my parents and the kids, being next door is ideal, as they can leave whenever.
Fantastic :thumbsup2

The reindeer food (oatmeal and glitter) came from Jimmy's daycare teacher when he was 2. Ever since then we do it:thumbsup2
Did I tell you the year I dyed tons of sugar red and green with food dye to use in our schools reindeer food instead of glitter :faint:

I'm guessing you are glad;)
::yes:: Glad the ice show was good :thumbsup2

Her 7th birthday is tomorrow so once she's in bed I'm making her cake so it'll be ready in the morning for her.
Hope she has a lovely day :goodvibes

Anyway my little sweetiie was much better today !!:banana:When the Fire Alarm guy was there and testing his repairs , she got upand started to evacuate !! We told her it was OK but she did the right thing !! For the next hour she repeated "I did the Right thing """:lmao:GodLove her :lovestruc
Awww bless!

Darn weather, we were all set to go for a walk and it rained again  I need some air and exercise :rotfl2: There again I will tomorrow as I've got a golf match, it's meant to be 0 degrees here which is about 32 to you :cold: so I think I'll end up with rosy cheeks :rotfl2:

OK poll, do you say 2010 as twenty ten or two thousand and ten?

Yikes!

OK poll, do you say 2010 as twenty ten or two thousand and ten?

Ooh, I've not thought about that yet. I think I'm leaning toward twenty ten. So is my dad. D is on the fence... ;)

*******************************************************
OMG. D & I went to the cardio (all running) tennis class this morning. We had planned it after we did the one on Christmas Eve. I knew my friend and her DH were suddenly out, as he got the stomach bug, but then D & I were the ONLY ones there. :scared1: I am in a bad way! :rotfl2: Luckily, he only had us do an hour, since it was just us. :faint:

We then stopped and got some fresh tomatoes to try for the bruschetta (the recipe calls for whole canned, but we think fresh might be really yummy.) The kids and mom are playing Pixar Monopoly, and it's snowing quite a bit right now. I'm wanting a nap. :rotfl:

HEY! LOL.

Can't stand NY or Texas teams  Doens't mean I don't like you though:goodvibes

Any word on the one they were supposed to open in Times Square? I'm thinking Dis Meet for the grand opending if it actually happens:woohoo:

::yes:: Same here! Why on earth don't they carry slims? :confused3

I found slims at Walmart, but they didn't fit Jimmy right:confused3

Ooooh, I like that idea! :thumbsup2 :yay:

Now, to just talk Jim into it;)

I seem to be getting to that point myself. But I can't seem to part with a pair of 4" heels that make my foot cramp up 5 minutes after putting them on. Which is why I never wear them. But I can't throw them out, lol!

Jim told me I'm not allowed to buy anymore shoes unless when I do an old pair gets tossed:sad2:

Thanks, update coming up. Back to school Mon., but WDW in a week! ;)

Doh, I forgot:headache:

Morning! I'm sad to report that Leo spiked a fever of 104* last night, but happy to follow that with news of a fever-free sleep (thank you Motrin) and a temp of 98.6* this morning. Here's hoping he continues to improve.

Keeping fingers crossed that he stays fever free!

Did I tell you the year I dyed tons of sugar red and green with food dye to use in our schools reindeer food instead of glitter :faint:

Are you out of your ever loving mind:eek::lmao:

Darn weather, we were all set to go for a walk and it rained again  I need some air and exercise :rotfl2: There again I will tomorrow as I've got a golf match, it's meant to be 0 degrees here which is about 32 to you :cold: so I think I'll end up with rosy cheeks :rotfl2:

You will me happy to know that is snowing here:sad2:

OK poll, do you say 2010 as twenty ten or two thousand and ten?

two thousand ten:thumbsup2

+++++++++++++++++++++++

Jimmy slept until 8:30 this morning. First time EVER:yay: we woke up to snow:headache: Not much less than 2 inches, but enough to put a crimp in everything I have to do today.

Jim is doing the grocery shoppping and I am straightening, hoovering, and dusting to get ready for the open house tomorrow. I am also doing some laundry so I am not swamped over the weekend.

Jimmy now says he doesn't want to stay up for the new year, but I have a feeling since he got up so late (for him) that he will be up later than normal, which is fine.

Hope everyone is having a good day:goodvibes

What time is drunken spanish night starting?:yay:

OK I agree they are pretty ugly, I think I need to see them on though :goodvibes
:rotfl2: They don't improve much on feet Jo!
OK poll, do you say 2010 as twenty ten or two thousand and ten?
Both, depending on my mood and how it sounds connected to whatever else I'm saying at the time!

We then stopped and got some fresh tomatoes to try for the bruschetta (the recipe calls for whole canned, but we think fresh might be really yummy.)
Mmm, I agree! :thumbsup2

Keeping fingers crossed that he stays fever free!
Thanks, but I heard it's creeping back up. :sad2:
What time is drunken spanish night starting?:yay:
Oh shoot - I never bought champagne! :headache:

:thumbsup2:rotfl2: And OMG on the tennis that sounds exhausting!

Are you out of your ever loving mind:eek::lmao:
I had multi coloured fingers for days :rotfl2:

You will me happy to know that is snowing here:sad2:
wooohoooo ;)

two thousand ten:thumbsup2
It's weird isn't it because I've been saying two thousand and eight, nine etc but I never said one thousand nine hundred and ninety nine I said nineteen ninety nine :confused3:rotfl2:

Jimmy slept until 8:30 this morning. First time EVER:yay:

Are you being indecisive or diplomatic? :rotfl2:

Dave is about to order the Chinese, we're going all out and having duck and pancakes tonight plus other dishes

Are you being indecisive or diplomatic?
:rotfl2: No, I really do use both about equally! Our fiscal year started in Oct., so I've been on the 2010 bandwagon for a while. ;)
Dave is about to order the Chinese
Oh shoot - not only did I forget champagne, I fogot to buy anything for DINNER! I may be ordering Chinese, too.

Good Afternoon All!

Well the sickies have attacked our village as well. Evan and Waldo both woke up with post nasal drip and sore throats. We had planned to go for sushi tonight, but we'll see how everyone feels in a few hours.

We've been running around crazy today! We got some food for the weekend and hit Target for some last minute stuff that I forgot on my last Target trip 2 days ago. :headache: Do the Target runs ever end?

I made all our ADR's for our June/July trip and am happy to report I got everything I wanted. And I'm sure 90% of it will change in the next 6 months! :lmao:

I'll be back later for drunken Spanish night. I bought a bottle of Pinot and a bottle of Shiraz, so I'm all set. :thumbsup2

BBL! :hippie:

I thought I had quoted V, but I agree with her answer. Depends on the way I'm attatching it to the date.

Sounds lovely! :thumbsup2

Oh no! Hope everyone is feeling better and you guys get to go out. And nope, I don't think the Target runs ever end. I was there today. LOL

***************************************************

I went to bed last night with it snowing and woke up this morning to rain. YUCK!

Linds had gotten up before DR and I and was playing on the computer when we came down. She had to remind her brother what today was because the first words out of his mouth were not 'Happy Birthday!' but 'Mom, Lindsey's on the computer!' Once he told her Happy Birthday she then said, 'Thanks. Now go make me a some toast and get me something to drink.' :rotfl: I quickly had to remind her that just because it's her birthday it does not mean she gets to me little Miss Bossy. :sad2: :eyeroll: :rotfl2:

Once breakfast was over we headed to JC Penney's for me to return something, Target for G-Force but they didn't have it :headache: so we ended up getting a new Wii game and a DS game for Linds, stopped at McD's for lunch and to let the kids play and the last place was the grocery store for things to eat tonight.

We got home and I gave Linds her birthday card with the Disney on Ice tickets in them. She was happy and excited to get them. We should be in the second row, pretty much right at center, so I'm excited to go on Sunday.

The kids are now happily playing on the Wii or on the DS. We are supposed to go to my uncle's tonight for a New Year's party but I really don't feel like being around my family right now. I think my dad is disappointed because he was like 'Oh everyone is excited to celebrate Lindsey's birthday' but I'm just to the point of saying screw that to my family. I don't care if they insult other things about my life, but when it comes to my parenting and how I am raising my kids that is where I draw the line. So, I'll make Lindsey's favorite dinner, we'll have some snacks, watch UP! and play on the Wii.

That's it for me. I'm sure I'll be around tonight. I bought some black cherry vodka the other day and some kind of pineapple rum so no driving for me. Plus, we are to be getting snow, ice and I think, fog. None of that sounds like a good combination with drunks being out.

Hope y'all have a good night!
