Team Focker Watch, Part 12. Have we jumped the shark yet?

Good Black Friday to ya’ll!!!
I hope those of you that venture out aren’t mauled by the vicious crowds today.

JO was feeling left out. She was supposed to get her hearing checked-didn’t happen due to a mix-up at the clinic. Ellie is still coughing a lot. She went to the grocery for a few things and came out with $100 of stuff she didn’t know she needed! They are getting a ping-pong table from her dad. She used to be a state champ!
I’m sorry you were alone for a while. It didn’t look like it was too long. I hope Ells gets better soon. Uh, I have that problem with Walmart and Dollar Tree. Holy cow! Do you have little award statues for the table tennis?

DENISE was going to quilt during her holiday get-away at the shore. She did manage some shopping on Amazon before she took off.
I bet that quilt is beautiful. Doug's mom does a lot of afghans. I have a couple they are so nice.

LORI’s had the night to herself on Tuesday. She was so bored the other day, she watched the weather channel. Lindsey is amazed by her mama’s psychic powers.
I'm sure the down-time is nice.

JANET’s laundry grows. She is going to try to get Christmas stiff up.:rotfl2: That is how I typed it at first!!!!!:lmao: I meant "stuff"!!!
The weather has been yucky and cold here. It makes me want to stay in bed but I'm not gonna do it. I'm glad your turkey day went well. You want to come help me with my basement? Oops I forgot, you are shopping.

ROSIE’s whole weekend may be messed up. Update - all is well. She says drugs do wonders. I think she meant for the consumer.
I hope BF is going well for you. It's good to know that you got everything under control.

CE had everything under control. She even had time for tennis on Wed. She hates it when her family passes the phone around when she calls. She had fun with wine at the friends house.
Does any of the family have a cell phone? Just send a text that they can pass around.:lmao: I'm glad to hear that wine overcomes all.

Miz Diz’s website for her business is tiaracustoms .com. It should be completed in a few days. She will be looking for gifts for the kids and a new laptop.
Awesome about your own website! I can't wait to see it. Good luck with the shopping.

Z is still having drama with her mom.
I’m sorry about the spat. I was so fortunate to have a dad that let me do what I needed and didn’t interfere too much. Doug’s mom is awesome also. But she’s a lot older and he’s the 5th kid. I think she was over it by the time he came along. Plus he’s a guy. It’s different with boys.

TE is on meds but still feels like crap. BA is doing good and will get to take a bath soon.
:hug: for you. Some people just like baths better. Whirlpools are great!

LINDA/Slightly Goofy stopped by. She is leaving for WDW in a couple of days.
Why do I not know this? Another Hoosier/Focker in the World at the same time? Someone needs to stop by more often.

KAT had to deal with a intoxicated KC. They have been kicked back most of the time.

Poor Kat. I'm glad you made it home. Doug got a little ripped at my bro's wedding. I haven't seen him like that in a while. I actually held on to him while we went to the car 'cause I was afraid he would fall down.:rotfl2: Once we got home and ate he was fine.
The chill-axing sounded like a great idea. That's what I did.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Wednesday before work I mailed my box of snacks and water to CBR. It cost $25. Here’s hopin’ it’s there when we show up.

After the post office I went to check my brother’s house. He is trying to sell it. It is empty but he just wanted me to make sure no one had messed around. It’s in a busy neighborhood but I suppose anything could happen. He and the X-SIL had cats. You can still tell. I need to let him know that a couple of plug-ins or something might help.

Then I found that I still had some time before I needed to be at work so I swung by my favorite low-rent store - Dollar Tree. Just to look, really. I walked out $12 poorer. I decided to buy some Christmas decorations for the room at CBR. Nothing huge just some small window trimmings. Plus I found a poster with the ‘Big Cheese’ himself that you color in with markers that came with it. It says, ‘Seasons Greeting’. I’ll get a picture and post it.

My knee is still bothering me a bit. Yesterday when I got home I put a heating pad on it for a little while and then went to bed. Doug woke me a few times while he was messing around in the kitchen. When he left it was 10:30AM. I thought I’d get up in a few minutes. When I looked at the clock next it was 2:30PM! I guess I was tired after all.

I did nothing constructive the rest of the day. It did fly by though. Oh, I did get my on-line check-in done for CBR. Doug got back around 4:30 and I munched on left-overs. His sis always cooks a ham. The good kind with the bone in. It was so yummy.

Today Doug wanted to go to town. I told him he was crazy. He needs some booze! Whateva! I need to clean the basement and get the rest of the house straightened up. It would be nice to have some help. I also need to go through my checklist for WDW. Gotta make sure I have everything that I need. My clothes are packed.

#1 Live far enough from your family that you can visit occasionally but they cannot drop in every day.

#2 Hide all presents with the cleaning supplies. Trust me, no one in your family will think of looking there.

#3 Buy yourself what you want most that way you will be assured of not being disappointed.

#4 Be glad if you have crazy relatives cause every family has at least one and if you do not, YOU are it!

#5 The bad things that happen each holiday season will be treasured memories one day.

Hope you all had a wonderful Turkey Day and are looking forward to the upcoming end of year celebrations!

If any of you happen to be going when we are there please watch for the enormous LGM on my purse. It was put there just for YOU.:love: Music from November 29th-December 13th.

From this Hoosier to you all, Ho, Ho, Ho!

Slightly Goofy/Linda

Well, D & I stayed up much too late, but I did manage to get my Christmas music moved from my external hard drive back to my iTunes library, then onto my phone and old iPod. :thumbsup2

I did also manage to score a really good deal on a couple of toys for my cousin's DS3, after midnight and online. ;) I have no lists, so I hope he likes them - it was a puzzle and then a rocket thing from Little Einsteins that was originally $44 and I got it for $10 - so hopefully it's not a $10 piece of junk, but a decent item IYKWIM. :confused3

We are playing tennis again today with our friends - I never really asked about the kids. The last several times we played, we've just left the twin sets :rotfl: with their older DS, but I didn't ask her if they are around today or not. I just called over, and she was not there, and her DH knew nothing. :lmao: So, the kids may have to hang about the gym, which isn't ideal, but... We'll have to see. Woody is I think overly tired - they got up early again this morning after yet another late night, and he's melting down. Sigh.

I hope the shoppers are having a good day! I think, with the time I have before tennis, I'll first clean up a bit (the house exploded with the kids home yesterday) and then start to get the decorations out if I have time! :goodvibes

I'll be in and out - have a great day, everyone!

Hello there you wild people you!
Hi Stranger, how have you been? Have fun at WDW :goodvibes

Lindsey did leave a message and said Happy Thanksgiving but sounded sad. Who knows? :confused3 I just miss the little boogers. :(
I'm sure she's OK, hope you got to speak with them though :hug:

We have had a very mellow day of eating and tv watching and sleeping. Last night kc got very drunk at the concert we went to and it was a long night getting him home. We are prob headed home soon so we can vege out all night and tomorrow.
Uh oh, so how were the inlaws?

Well it looks like Jo was kept company after all...see Jo, Hakuna Matata. ;)
:rotfl2: Sorry about your step Grandma :hug:

Well, I had a better time than I was anticipating. The wife of the other couple (whom again, I really like, but we only know because they know our friends) was feeling good (she's fought breast cancer for years, but is finally clear - and she's only 41...) and so she and I drank wine and giggled, and the men did ALL the work. :thumbsup2
Sounds good :thumbsup2

Holy cow! Do you have little award statues for the table tennis?
I sure do :rotfl2: Actually I won the state's under 18 girls competition when I was 13 :snooty: Shhhh but it was because all the older good girls were at an England competiton the same day so it was easier :rotfl2:

When he left it was 10:30AM. I thought I’d get up in a few minutes. When I looked at the clock next it was 2:30PM! I guess I was tired after all.
You obviously did need it, catch up now so you don't need to sleep as much in WDW :thumbsup2

:confused3
Sounds good to me :thumbsup2

Lost my golf today :sad2: I just played rubbish :rotfl2: It was also freezing and so windy but anyway..... :rotfl2:

Well that's all I've got :rotfl2: hope you're all having a great Black Friday, I'm sure lots of you need to sleep today to get over your all night shopping sprees!

Well that's all I've got :rotfl2: hope you're all having a great Black Friday, I'm sure lots of you need to sleep today to get over your all night shopping sprees!

I'm sorry your golf didn't go well. It's yucky weather here today, too.

My friend just called back and her son has plans, so the twinsets are going to the gym with us. I hope they can behave. :rotfl:

I've got laundry going and did dishes, but haven't moved much more in the "clean and decorate" plan. Oh, well. :rolleyes:

Sounds like you had a good day!

Mine actually went fine, no drama. I was thankful for that. :angel:

Got a phone call from my dad in Puerto Rico. He had heard about the big falling out between my mother & bro and I finally found someone (other than my friends) who sided w/ me!!! Yay!! Then he told me his wife's mom was doing really bad and may not make it through the year. :sad1: It's gonna be a rough end of year for her. I gave her a call and she didn't sound well and that just made me sad, but unfortunately there's nothing anyone can do.

Glad you had a good day and I'm sorry about his wife's mom. Glad you were able to talk with her.

Oh, honey. :hug: Hope they had a good time, because I hate to think of them sad. :hug:

See, I miss Warrick way, way too much. :rotfl:

Thanks CE. :goodvibes (See below) I DVR'd repeats so Warrick is in them. :thumbsup2

I'm sure the down-time is nice.

:rotfl: to the psychic powers. I tell them I have eyes in the back of my head all the time too and then they ask if they can see them. I am enjoying my down time. :goodvibes

UGH! Sorry about the golf game!

Afternoon Fockers!

I did get to talk with the kids last night. He put DR on first and I could tell he had either just woken up or wasn't feeling well. I asked him what was wrong and he just bursted out crying saying his head hurt him. :sad1: I felt so freaking bad! My child is crying on the phone and I can't be the one there to comfort him. D did give him some Tylonol though so hopefully that was all he needed and he's not getting a cold.

I talked with Linds as well and she was fine. I think they had more fun playing with our friend's dogs then anything else. :rotfl: I should call J and get the scoop on how my kids did.

I've got nothing planned for today. It's spitting snow outside and is just a dreary day. No Black Friday shopping for me unless I want to do some online. So, it looks like more DVR'd shows for me and probably some PPV movies. I watched Four Christmases last night and thought it was really cute.

Have a good Friday everyone!

Have fun! I'd wanted to see Four Christmases, good to know. :thumbsup2

I'm still in a robe - I needed to do laundry to get tennis clothes, and then thought, "Why change another time?" I feel very lazy. ;) We'll need to leave for tennis in about a half hour. I ate way too many heavy leftovers for someone who's going to play tennis in a bit. Sigh. :rotfl2:

I don't know what we're doing for dinner or anything. D has a flight tomorrow, but it's not until afternoon, and the boys don't have basketball until next weekend again. I have a feeling the rest of our weekend will be pretty slow.

:faint: I'm exhausted! Left the house at 4:00am and headed to Target. From there I went to Toys R Us and then the King of Prussia Mall. After the King of Prussia Mall I went back to Target (don't ask;)). After that Target run I went to WalMart, then to the Plymouth Meeting Mall. After that mall I then went to Five Below, the Pet Store and Blockbuster (DVD's for $4--the store is closing:woohoo:). My last stop of the day was Kohl's. After that I stopped at the in-laws to drop off a couple of things for Jimmy from them that I picked up. Got home about 5:00pm. Emptied the car and then have just been hanging.

Go some great deals:thumbsup2 and even got some things for myself;) I bought a pair of dress boots and a couple of sweaters.

All of my shopping is done except for 3 gift cards that Jim has to pick up:yay:

Zhu Zhu pets are IMPOSSIBLE to find unless you want to pay $75 for one little $8 hamster on Ebay..yeah, that ain't happening:rotfl:

A couple of ther things that Jimmy had asked for I can't find anywhere (even online) but I got him some other things that weren't on his list that I think he will like!

Hope everyone had a great day! I'm going to bed now...see you all tomorrow!

:faint: I'm exhausted!

I'd think! Sounds like a successful day, though! Sleep well.

**********************************************************
We decided against cooking, so after tennis we let the boys swim, then we picked up our normal pizza stuff and watched Home Alone. The boys will need to go to bed very soon - they are just wiped out. They fell asleep in the car on the way to get the pizza, at 5:30. :upsidedow

I kind of imagine we'll be catching up on some TV and stuff, so I hope you all have a good night! :grouphug:

Hola, peeps! :wave2:

I just got up from trying to recoup from our Black Friday all-nighter. Yup. All-nighter! :faint:

We started at 10pm, just sitting around the table mapping out our game plan (Andy, my 3 nephews and myself). I did some online shopping around 9:30pm, taking advantage of our time zone and then headed out the door at 2am. :thumbsup2 We hit Old Navy, but decided the line wasn't worth it and headed to Kohl's for the 4am opening, whilst the boys waited at Target. I have to say, this was the most orderly BF I have ever experienced. Kohl's was smart and has associates start at the front of the line and ask people what they were there for and gave them "vouchers". You had to have a voucher to get whatever "blow out" item you wanted. It was truly a first-come, first served. The moochers had to wait their turn. :snooty: We grabbed all we wanted (and then some ;)) and headed to Target, split up to grab our assigned items and were out of there in 17 mins. We're pro's, baby! :rotfl2:

Afterwards, I took the group to breakfast at a local greasy diner and we had a great time laughing and rehashing the morning's event. It was probably one of the best BF's in a long, long time. :goodvibes

I'm exhausted, so I'm heading off to bed. Debating if I want to head out again with TE so she get her stuff done, too. :eek:

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! :hug:

Uh oh, so how were the inlaws?

Actually it was great. They were mellow too, we all took long naps in he afternoon and got back up ate another plate and relaxed again. It was the best holiday in a while.

:faint: I'm exhausted! Left the house at 4:00am and headed to Target.

WOW> You are my hero! I wish I was totally done shopping.

Hola, peeps! :wave2:

I just got up from trying to recoup from our Black Friday all-nighter. Yup. All-nighter! :faint::

Dizam! You are a serious shopper, my friend!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I stayed home, slept all day and was happy about it. I feel really good now after the last few days of relaxing. My ear is still clogged but the ear drops I bought a few days ago seem to be gradually helping. I hope anyway.
I did do some online shopping today. KC got a hard drive for the pc and a new light up keyboard. I got jeans, a sweater and a top and 2 tees for KC at oldnavy.com. I ordered a few ornaments and some Hannah Montana stuff for our niece from disneyshopping and KC got a game and the supernatural season 4 dvd's from amazon. Not too bad.
I made my first sweet potato pie from the leftovers and have the I turned leftovers into Sheppard's pie in the oven now.
I have to work tomorrow 11-5. I am not thrilled but haven't been in since last Monday so I have to go. Only 4 weeks left anyway. Which equals probably 15 days of work so i'll live. The weird thing is I am working "on stage" tomorrow bagging for the register people. I have never been out on the floor before, it should be an experience.
Anyways have a great rest of the day everyone, i'm gonna get some food and cuddle on the couch and watch some tv with KC.
I’m sorry about the spat. I was so fortunate to have a dad that let me do what I needed and didn’t interfere too much. Doug’s mom is awesome also. But she’s a lot older and he’s the 5th kid. I think she was over it by the time he came along. Plus he’s a guy. It’s different with boys.
Thanks :hug: I felt better after talking to my dad yesterday, just happy I wasn't alone in my thinking. He's pretty easy going with us and understands how life works that kids don't stay kids forever. And yes it is different for boys. :snooty:
: Sorry about your step Grandma
Thanks Jo. I don't really know her all that much I just feel bad for my dad's wife. She's a really nice lady and this is just all been so tough on her and even more that it's the holidays.
Sorry about you golf game.
I've got nothing planned for today. It's spitting snow outside and is just a dreary day.
Awwww snow! :upsidedow
:faint: I'm exhausted!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Well I braved the crowds and did some black friday shopping. I actually am starting to like black friday shopping...:upsidedow

Anyhoo, I couldn't really sleep so I kinda sorta stayed up and around 4-ish left the house in the cold (to us Miamians), picked up my bro to go to CompUSA and get some stuff I wanted there. My brother actually bought me 2 things there as Christmas gifts :goodvibes and I bought myself a GPS. No more getting lost going to Disney!!!! :woohoo:

Then headed over to Best Buy for some DVD's they had on sale and bought my brother something there too.

The crowds weren't too bad, but then again I avoid Wal-Mart like the plague.... But I noticed the same thing T noticed that the stores are making things very orderly. :thumbsup2

Was home by 7 with all the shopping I wanted out of the way and took a nap before heading to work.

Anyway, gonna clean my room and do some laundry.

Night! :cloud9:

Wow it's still very quiet here!

Congrats to all those that got everything they needed on BF, are the savings really that big????

T will be so happy with me as I've started packing :faint: Not like me at all but as it's 2 weeks exactly and I have an incredibly busy week leading up to the trip, plus the girls are at school so can't help by giving me their clothes I thought I'd start now :thumbsup2 It has involved several screams at the girls though as they won't choose which clothes they want :headache: Plus we're having to pack for all weathers, shorts to sweaters, please tell me we won't need anything more than a hoodie, remember we're tough Brit's :rotfl:

I also did my final trip plan and did a last check of the hours, well they've added tons of Fantasmic dates, good for some but I had planned to go to DHS when it wasn't on for lower crowds :mad: Oh well hopefully as it's now on almost everyday it won't make any difference :thumbsup2

There you go... ;)

***************************************************
Another lazy morning here. D has to leave in about an hour to go fly. It's not that cold, but is terribly windy here today, so I feel a little bad kicking the kids outside. I do want to get decorations going, but I want to listen to Christmas music whilst I do so, and D is watching a show, so I can't take over the sound system. :rotfl: Once he's gone... :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

I think we finally have a plan for buying for the family of D's stepsisters - doing a person to person drawing this year rather than a family to family - BUT the names haven't been picked, so I still can't shop. :rolleyes:

And my cousin hasn't gotten back to me after a week about my family plan. I think I'm picking up the phone right now. Sigh.

And D's dad and stepmom haven't sent lists.

I'm screwed. :rotfl2:

Good Black Friday to ya’ll!!!

Actually it was great. They were mellow too, we all took long naps in he afternoon and got back up ate another plate and relaxed again. It was the best holiday in a while.

WOw, even I don't pack that much before the trip;)

Jo, if it was me...my mom said it is like 40 degrees today. That would be hoddie weather for us. You can't go by those who live in Florida or California and if the temp goes below 70 they are cold:rotfl2: LY T, V, and Angela:hug: The one time I went in December (Christmas week) it got down to 32 at night, but we were still fine with a seatshirt, then a hoodie over it.

==============================

I slept like a rock last night and boy are my legs killing me today. I haven't done that much walking in a while:lmao:

Today the plan is to put the tree up and decorate the inside of the house. Tomorrow Jim will do the outside decorations (nicer of the 2 days weather wise) and I will do the grocery shopping and (surprise) the laundry.

Then back to work and school on Monday!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!:goodvibes

Morning All !! Been MIA fr days due o work and BF!!! I am now ack the and of the living after a ver goo night sleep !!!
Jo Good job on starting to pack !! Did I miss your PTR???

Kat I am still looking for Tips for nextThanksgiving in NYC!!!!

Gotta run, the kds are out and this is perfect wrapping time !!!

Thanks Janet, I know when I went last December it was shorts in the day but needed a sweater in the evening but that was earlier. And yeah there are some wimps around here ;):rotfl2:

Jo Good job on starting to pack !! Did I miss your PTR???
Errrrr I haven't written one Rosie :rotfl2:

I'm really debating whether I should go to the funeral or not, I didn't really know her but she is my kind of Step-Dad's grandaughter. But it will be 5 hours of driving (2.5 each way) and as it's 10.30am I would really need to leave the night before but D is working till 10pm so what to do about the girls? Plus it's only 2 days before we go on holiday. So basically I don't want to go, but.............. I know even though Mum has said she'll understand if I don't go that if something happened on Dad's side and I went up for that she'd have a head off :sad2: Help!!!!!! :rotfl2:

Anyone know of any good Disney pin sellers??? Oh and do you think if I ordered some stuff from Aeropostle online they'd send it to the GF?

I'm not getting much accomplished. The boys headed out to the neighbor's (though Buzz is back - they just don't get along as well) and they were kind of wanting to decorate. I've got most of the knick-knacks out, we get a real tree which we don't have yet, so that's out, and I can't find the extension cords to do the lights I put in the inside windows. :confused3 We don't have outdoor plugs in the front of the house, though last year we bought lights and ran a long industrial extension cord for the big branch that fell in the ice storm. :rotfl: So, I may get industrious and go put some lights on the bushes up front this year. The wind seems to have died down, so it's not bad outside. :thumbsup2

Mostly I'm sitting here on my duff, listening to my Christmas music and playing FB games. :rotfl2:
