Team Focker Watch, Part 12. Have we jumped the shark yet?

Mitch got the preliminary papers to be deployed in January. Now I'm starting to freak out, not about his safety, but how we'll manage financially. Next weekend he'll be with his army unit and will get more information so he can the discuss it with work. I suppose the best bet is try not to worry until I know for sure.
::yes:: But easier said than done, I bet. :hug:

Good morning all (it is still morning right??) Just stopping in quickly to say hi and say I HATE MY JOB! J/K. It's just crazy busy so I won't be checkin gin much during the day.
:hug:

Oh forgot to say Em did the NY marathon in under 5 hours, she said she has never run so fast in all her life as she did the last 400m as she wanted to get under 5 hours. Her time was 4 hrs 59 minutes 51 seconds :rotfl: I don't think I could walk for 5 hours straight let alone run it :eek:
Amazing! :cheer2: V doesn't run. I'm always beyond impressed by anyone who can do a marathon!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good grief; I only missed a day of work, but I'm swamped as a result! :faint: Popping in quick on my lunch break, but I can't stay.
Halloween weekend at WDW was... HOT. Like, August-hot. Sweltering, blistering, crazy hot. We mostly had fun, but, well... it was HOT. :rolleyes: I don't have pics uploaded yet, but I promise a decent report on my TR soon-ish.:thumbsup2
Back to the grind...
I'm down to a 5 buzz now :rotfl2:
No idea what that means but :hug:
:worship: The thought of that makes me ill. Congrats to her though. :cheer2:
No need to call:rolleyes::rotfl2:
!
:flower3:oops....too late.....Hi Janet!
:
It's just crazy busy so I won't be checkin gin much during the day. Things going well so far.
:confused3you're checkin GIN?? Sounds like Carrie's job! ;)
I know...I know....but you were only exempt from us making fun of typos whilst your eyes were bad.....they are better aren't they?? Don't strain them or anything today.:hug:
Be careful with that. My cat who does get his shots and stays indoors, bit me and my arm swelled so badly I had to be on antibiotics for a week. :rolleyes:
I decided Thanksgiving decorations worked in conjunction with Halloween so mine have been up awhile. Now I have just a few strictly Halloween decorations that do need to come down. :thumbsup2
How's work going? :confused3
I love all the Halloween pics! So cute. :goodvibes
:hug: to all the people who don't feel well.
A friend is bringing her two daughters the first week in December for a visit. They are 2 and 4 and although they don't know they are coming yet, they will be so excited when they find out. We're going to MVMCP which I do love and possible the Osborne lights. I cannot believe Christmas will be here so soon. :eek:
Oh no....how long will he be deployed for? How does work handle that--is he on a leave of absence?
:eek:dang.....I couldn't even get motivated to do the stationery bike today.:sad2:
No idea what that means but :hug:
:
It's bad....real bad!:lmao:
Ok Jo...Cafe world consultation:
see where you have the 3 counters? the waitresses seem to not serve some of the folks behind them---try moving the counters out more from the tables,
I would use less doors as you run low on food cause more doors=more people coming in....cool doors tho! my folks get cranky and leave if the door opens too close to the tables.:headache:
overall it's a good set up--buzz should be higher. Don't forget to log out each time---save game too.
ICE---how's he feeling??
Fine. The morning went well, but I just got back from tennis and am noticing bad attitude setting in. :sad2:
at least, it would be major to most folks if they had to have their privates chopped off! :scared1:
::yes::
Glad it's really going well so far. We miss you!
CE and Janet the boys look great, Janet have a great day at work and CE hope your little man gets better today :hug:
Thank you! He seems good, but I am glad we gave him the extra day. He was not very perky this morning.
Last day of school holiday tomorrow, E is off swimming not sure what J and I will do!
Shop! ;)
Back to the grind...
Can't wait to hear, welcome back!
So, I'm just oddly cranky. I didn't much care if I went to tennis, though D was pretty insistent that I be able to get out of the house. I got there and was distracted and not playing terribly well (and it was not my favorite pro's week with us) and then after, we were trying to figure out the line-up for next week's match. I have to go as co-captain because the captain can't - she works Tuesdays, and all our home matches are Tuesdays. :headache: With it being the book fair, I'm totally distracted with that, and don't even think I'll be able to go to drills next week.
Anyway, about half our team works on Tuesdays, and so we really only have 5 who can play - and we need 5 - but one of them is one that plays up to the next team. She won last week, but doesn't want to play this coming match because she doesn't want to lose and have her rankings go down. :mad: This next team looks really good, and her partner from last week is one that can't come on Tuesdays and she doesn't want to play with any of the rest of us. :headache: Look, I would rather win all my matches, too, but if the team needs me to play, I want to play and have fun.
That put me in a bad mood. We really need her or we won't have enough players.
And, as I said up above, since I walked in the door, I've noticed a marked decrease in quality of attitude from the kid. I know it's because he feels good and he's bored, but...
Grrr. Grouchy. :rotfl:
I have a new computer!!!! I can DIS now!!!!!:banana::banana::banana:
I have a lot of catching up to do, but I just wanted to pop in to say "HOLA!" :wave2:
What kind did you get? Mitch wants a new laptop to take with him and I have no idea what to get. We did think about asking our computer guy to build him one, but not sure if that's cost effective or not.
If I get a chance I will check in during the day tomorrow. Have a good night all.
Here is Jimmy in his WOlverine costume last night.
You're going to be exhausted!
What a great costume!
Here's my robot, since we've seen Harry Potter already. ;)
Awww - I love seeing all the costumes!
Well, we had really about decided last night that Woody could go this morning - he was good from about 10:00 a.m. on, really, yesterday. The temp this morning was fine, but he just doesn't look right yet, and was crying over whether or not he should go. He LOVES school, so if he was waffling, he obviously doesn't feel quite right, so we'll give it one more day. By tomorrow, there should be no question and we'll all feel better about it.
Poor guy! Good thing he loves school though!
I miss Janet----think I should call her boss and tell him we are worried about her and that she needs to check in more often??........she DID say everyone was sick at work....what if she's caught something already??..........or what if <<gasp>>she can't remember how to log into her work computer????..................that's it....I'm gonna call!
:rotfl2::rotfl2:
We got a Dell. We had an HP that lasted FOREVER, but we got a nice discount through Andy's company if we purchased a Dell. It's really nice and CRAZY fast - and it came with Windows7, which I'm really liking.
:cool1::cool1: Isn't is GREAT!!
YES! :worship:
I went back to check out the cool costumes! Janet I loved Jimmy as Wolverine! :thumbsup2 And OMG, CE, that costume is so cool! He's even doing the "Robot"! :lmao: I'll try to post Mads and Evan soon. I have to run, I have parent conference for Evan in a few mins.
Later, peeps!:flower3:
Hi ya Fockers!
I had today off, one of the last until after year end. I took advantage of being home and just getting organized. Did some cooking so I have stuff in the freezer too!
Oh and I may have packed for Thanksgiving weekend too, maybe:rolleyes1 I keep going back and forth on carryon only or not. I'm at the point where I hate having to wheel/carry stuff through the airport. But for 4 nights, it seems a waste to pay for a bag. I threw the idea out to Murph that maybe we check a single bag between us. She wants to bring home Gluewine from Germany and she has to check a bag for that. Makes me nervous having that in a bag with all my stuff, what if the bottle or bottles;) breaks. (for those wondering Gluewine is a German wine you drink slighty warm, she loves the stuff)
Speaking of...Murph still is not great, gets tired easily. She had an appointment with the cardiologist today, just left a message for her to see how that went (this was a check up on that scare she had last year). You know she is bad in the fact that I have had her pug Cooper since before she left on her trip last month. She loves him, they way I love mine.
So can I just say the Jets suck, oh I just did, yeah they suck:mad:
Well, we get to elect our governor tomorrow, typical Jersey politics, NASTY. Can't stand any of them, Dem, Rep or Independent. I'll vote before work, for the least offensive one... OMG the politics in this state are so bad, I use to think Louisiana had the worst politicians, not anymore, welcome to the Garden State. Lots of manure thrown around, and not just on the crops!
Anyway, hope everyone is doing great!
CE the tennis stuff sounds stressy :hug:
T - wooohooo
Mo good to see you
Everyone else nighty night :wave2:
Beautiful sunny day here so we all went for a nice hour and a bits walk, Jess and I then went to play golf but it got really chilly and the ball wouldn't go so far so it wasn't fun towards the end
:lmao:
Can she ship the wine to herself?
Nighty night :wave2:
=======================
I'm home. Waiting for Jim and Jimmy to get here. Jimmy had a doctor's appointment. They should be home shortly. I am sitting here watching the Flyers game while I wait for them/ At least they are winning I'm going to owe LL a drink the next time we are in WDW...Stupid Phillies! They are playing like carp:mad:
Tomorrow Jimmy is off for election day (schools used as polling places), but Jim has to go in for "professional development" so Jimmy will go to his after school place for the day.
1st day at work was okay. It took me most of the day to clean and disinfect my office and desk:eek: Still have more to do tomorrow. Can I just say people are pigs.
Hope everyone has had a good day. I will check back a bit later.
Yeah...yeah....you all wait for me to go to work and THEN you get chatty!
I have a new computer!!!! I can DIS now!!!!!:
I have a lot of catching up to do, but I just wanted to pop in to say "HOLA!" :wave2:
I always buy Dells---good quality...but can't understand the dang tech support people AT ALL......and vice versa apparently!
And I've had to edit CE's name before too---forget I'm not on FB!
kids are off tomorrow too. BA has 3 friends sleeping over. I made homemade lasagna before I left for work (go me!) .....and then they told me that they wanna go to Wing nite at Macados where the teens hang out. :mad:
oh well....they swear they will eat the lasagna at 2 am....:rolleyes:
Hola, Senora T!
That is the point of being on a team. :hug:
That's what I thought. :confused: I know tennis is a somewhat individualized sport, but come on.
Poor guy! Good thing he loves school though!
::yes:: At least I have to fight to keep him home instead of fighting to get him to go!
Isn't this supposed to be fun???:confused3
So I thought... :sad2:
And OMG, CE, that costume is so cool! He's even doing the "Robot"! :lmao:
Thanks, yes he was. :) Every time I tried to take his picture, in fact. :rotfl:
The only thing on our ballot is whether the school district should give the town 3 acres of land to build a fire station. Truly, the only thing. I will go vote (because I have to go into school anyway,) but I am not expecting much turn out. :rotfl2:
we vote for governor and school board---2 things that can really mess up your life!
Lasagna in oven....and I'm here.... all alone.:rolleyes:
course the nites when I don't make supper....everyone's here and starving!:mad:
Good Evening All!!!
JANET said Jimmy had a good time at Halloween. Pic of him post #1268,
I love that Wolverine costume. So were people using your desk while you were gone? And they didn't take care of things? That jest ain't fittin'!
DENISE has too much candy left.
:lmao: Well, I'm sorry you didn't have more ToT's. You know, there was a dentist's office that was paying money per pound of candy brought to them in our city. They are going to send it to the troops in Afghanistan. Is anyone doing that around your area?
LORI posted pics, #1253. She got bit by her cat.
I love that gingerbread house! Your kids looked great as did your decorations at the front door!
Princess Bride is one of my all-time favs too! Little Barbie is also a cutie. Do let us know when you get that PTR going. And I hope the bite is not infected.
TE will be talking to the owner about the music mix for the team dance routine. She has been giving Jo some counseling on how to run a café.
Get em’.
CE also ended up with too much candy and a puffy eye. Woody still has a fever. She helped D wrestle a bush yesterday. They celebrated it’s demise with wine. Picture of Woody, post #1272. She was crabby today. More tennis drama is unfolding.
Cheers to you and the bush. You have to love a kid wrapped in foil. Very cute robot!
I hope everyone is healing now.
I totally see that you love to play tennis. It’s too bad that others want to booger it up with being so darn serious.
ROSIE will be hangin’ around with drunk ‘peeps’ and Greeks on her next WDW adventure.
:rotfl2:
JO says she should be done redecorating the bedroom around August this next year!She said her sis ran the marathon is just a shade less than 5 hrs!
Doug and I are slow too. I am hoping to get the man cave done by May! ;) Congrats to your sis!
Do you know if you get to go early to WDW in December yet?
Z snuck in!!!
HI Z!!! Hope you are doing well!
ANGELA says Mitch got his deployment papers for Jan. She worried about finances.
What night will you be at MVMCP? I was going to see if we could meet up at DTD on the 6th but it looks like you’ll be busy in a good way! Girls 2 and 4! That will be awesome.
I’m sorry about Mitch having to leave you. I hope you will be alright.
V said WDW was HOT!
T is not lost, just busy! She says HOLA! She has a new computer for Fockering!
Hola back at ya’. Did I tell you the first bunch of brats we ate were taco flavored? OK stop screaming. It was like the eastern block meets south of the border. Very good, but very spicy. Jalepenos and cheddar. My Doug just loved them. (I thin' he has a little brown in him somewhere.;) )I felt like I needed to wrap a tortilla around them!
MO is kinda packing. She says Murph is not in the best shape right now. Murph went to the doctor. No word on the results yet.
Will you rent a chair for Murph at WDW? I do hope she will be OK. That wine sounds good. How has your foot been?
MrsKsomeday is heading to WDW on the 4th!
Have an awesome time!!!!
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
I got up around 1:30PM. (My first day off, I wasn't home until 6:30AM.) I hit the ground running. It was a gorgeous day so I decided to get all the leaves burned and mowed. Yes, I said mowed. I'm not going to spend 4 hrs raking 2 acres of leaves. I just chop them up. My patio was the only thing that got swept and raked. (For the 5th time.)
Of course I went to start the mower and ......Dead. It needs a new battery but we were going to hold off until spring. I jump off to hook up the charger/jumper and ..........it's not where it should be. :mad: This always happens. I go to get something and a certain husband has moved it. Luckily he was just coming in from work.
I did half the yard and told the hubster that I needed to wash my car since it was warm enough. I really needed to give it one last bath before the winter. Doug was trimming trees that are growing along the fence row but said he would finish the yard. OK
At 5PM I was done washing my car. The yard was not done and I saw said husband go into the house. I figured fine, I'll just finish the yard. (I can get more done in 15 minutes than he can get done in a whole day. :headache: )
The pole barn is shut and the remote that I use is gone. It took me 5 minutes to find him and the remote. He knew I was not happy. I told him to take a shower and a nap and he'd get supper when I was done. :upsidedow
Anyway, I was busy and didn't actually sit down until around 6PM. He is upstairs watching "The Wrestler". I'm here talking about my day! Aren't you the lucky ones!!!!!:rotfl2:
His birthday is tomorrow. I baked him a cake. We will go out to eat at a place called TC's. It's a local favorite in another small town about 40 minutes from where we live. His mom is going with us. I might get some food porn.
Time to refill my southern sour drink.
Hugs to all of you and thanks for the pictures!!!!
??????? I thought it was funny.:lmao:
