Ok the work injury story....A pole we use to hang clothes on high racks was left hanging in the middle of the rack and when I moved some shirts over it dislodged and nailed me in the top of the head. It isa heavy metal pole and it hurt like heck. It swelled quickly. The managers cared much more for filling out an incident report than me because I got a paper with the address of a dr to see and was sent on my way,no cab no escort,just had to get on the bus myself and go. The dr said it was just a bad contusion and I was fine but I went to be better safe than sorry. I have tons of papr work andcalls from the insurance co and was only asked once how I was feeling,4 days later. Kinda surprised at that. But I'm ok,obviously.

I am still looking for ful time work hoping to get out of disney before the xmas season.

Today I am doing some cooking for a few days this week and finally catching up on my dvr shows from 3 weeks ago.

Luckily, both of our x-rays came back normal. Baylie braced herself with the ankle she hurt a few weeks ago, so she's sore. She's not to dance on it until she can step on it without pain. She was sent home with a pain killer that I'm hoping we won't need.

Thank goodness you just what sounds like only minor injuries. I hope you and Baylie feel better soon!

Well, Ab got her license....I cried on the way over....I told her it felt like the day I dropped her off at kindergarten...only with more worry. She said I'm gonna have a tough time in 2 years when she goes to college....then she cried too. It's so scary---lots of things that can go wrong---really wrong. Like Dawn's accident yesterday---sometimes you get hurt when you're driving ok....and new drivers aren't near as experienced. She's so happy about it that I hate to be a wet blanket but it just makes me sad

I feel your pain! I always say there is nothing scarier than your kid learning to drive. I don’t think you ever get over it ?! My daughter has been driving for over 4 years now and I’m still a nervous Nellie about it – and she’s a good driver! Good luck!

T--I'm cold here too--it's in the 50s--residents at my nursing home were cold too...so they all turned the heat WAY up----and it was then too hot!


I had no kids to pick up......so I worked later......sniff sniff....at least all the pets are here!

New kitty Boots is doing good! He's purring a lot more and eating a LOT. Going to vet in am.

The eye doctor went well enough. Woody's fine - no surprise there. Buzz is slightly farsighted, but not enough to need a prescription at this point. We're just to watch and see if he starts to look like he needs more help with reading/homework vision.

I spent the AM having coffee with some girl friends, which should have lasted an hour or two, but we sat there for close to 4 hours! Tink was surprisingly great (she watched movies on my phone). It's Bunko night for me and I'm surprisingly uninterested in attending. I applied for a very part time job with a scrapbooking store. I'd like to earn some extra $$ for vacations. I think there were over 30 applications, so I'm not holding my breath.

i really can't believe they didn't give you any pain medicine. i saw a guy get dilaudid for a 1st degree sunburn.... crazy! oh course the doctor that gave it to him, was nicknamed the candy man by the er staff.. lol

Tomorrow I go for the MRI on my ear. I have to be there at 7:45. I have the first slot of the day so hopefully I won't be there forever. I want to clean my bathroom and finish up the little bit of laundry I have left.

I called the school superintendant's office today since it is now October, and I thought they should know something about the substitute teacher stuff. They say that they have all they need coming back from last year. My app will remain on file, and if they need more, I COULD be called later in the year, but not to expect much for now.

The grandparents left this morning, they were only here for two days. Turns out the reason for the visit is that they wanted to buy Mom a new car for her birthday.

Just went to see Up and Janet look away but I loved it, I definitely wouldn't recommend it for young kids though as I'm sure they'd find it boring. I did cry a bit but also laughed loads and just really liked it, oh it was 3D too

We got some big stuff happening here at work. I can't say anything. It's top secret. If I tell you all, I'd have to hunt you down and shoot ya'. Not really, however, it may hinder my ability to chat very much over the next 2-3 weeks. Go figure. I'll di-vulge everything when it all has become concrete.

As you may have seen above. Rockie and I are doing the BFF trip Dec 6 - Dec 12. I had no issues with changing it. I can't remember if I told you, but we are staying at CBR in a pirate room. Isn't that just too funny! That's what they had available. It cost us an extra $145. No biggy.

I also rebooked our flight with SW. I had to pay extra for the flight back. Then the system had a brain malfunction and ended up charging me twice. SW fixed it promptly.

I also exchanged our MNSSHP tix for MVMCP tix. We are going to the Christmas party on Tue, Dec. 8th. I'm hoping it won't be too crowded.

My ADRs are at 50s PTC, Tutto Italia, Shutters, Kona and Cape May for the character breakfast. We are going to Beaches and Cream one evening for dinner too. I wanted Le Cellier and Donald's breakfast. NO WAY! Maybe next time.

I've been working on a new itinerary for the week. I'll talk about it later. I think this will be a great trip with all the Christmas decor and music. We need something like this after all we've been through. Disney at it's magical most, what could be better???

We had a great Thanksgiving last night. The food was yummy as usual, we chatted with the relatives on the phone and then we played a bunch of board games which were hilariously fun as usual. We wrapped up the night looking at our Disney photo albums from 2007/2008 and laughing over all the good memories. It was a great night! I didn't end up taking Alek home until almost midnight!

I didn't touch my school work all weekend so now I have a Biology lab report to write up, a short 250 word paper to write and an Ethics test to study for. Why did I not do any of this while I was at work this weekend?

We wrapped up the night looking at our Disney photo albums from 2007/2008 and laughing over all the good memories. It was a great night! I didn't end up taking Alek home until almost midnight!

Only problem is that I am incredibly unmotivated. The Ethics test and lab report are not a problem as they are simple and straight forward, no creative thinking required. I however have absolutely no idea what I am going to write about for my stupid little paper.

Well, they told me in July that it was a possibility, but normally they don't have that many "old" subs come back - people get full-time jobs or move or do something else. Likely it's somewhat economy-related, and it wasn't as if they rejected ME - they rejected all newcomers. Not that I'm not still bummed, but it wasn't all their fault - though I do wish they'd called once they realized it. However, my app is still on file, and if people flake out through the winter, I may still be "hired" so to speak. Not exactly ideal, but...
