Speaking of anniversaries...my parents 52nd wedding anniversary is tomorrow

Wow, it's been a few days but I think I've caught up reading everything! Unfortunately, one of our good friends had a stroke the other day Luckily, he's pretty much okay and should make a full recovery, but it really threw us for a loop! It really gives you a jolt when these kinds of things start to happen to your friends - he's my husband's age and well, you know, you realize you're not getting any younger!

Thank, Jo! I have a few here...it wasn't as fabulous as the kids' wedding, but lovely all same...what was really nice was the lunch was held at Pittorie House which was where my FILs father worked as a chauffer for the family who lived there before it became a hotel...

You look lovely and how great about the family connection with the hotel

Errr we do have indoor pools

So we decided to just use our DVC points and I emailed member services for either AKV Jambo House or Boardwalk Villas. We'll see what's available.

I think I'm going to put up some Halloween decorations today. I sometimes don't bother much with Halloween decorating but DH got some really cute pumpkin lights at a yard sale last week, so I think I'll make an effort this year

So it seems my Fockers have no faith in me, eh? You guys know me so well! I thought about it and was wondering why I was making this a budget trip? It's our Anniversary trip, it should be nice and relaxing and of course romantic, right? So we decided to just use our DVC points and I emailed member services for either AKV Jambo House or Boardwalk Villas. We'll see what's available.

Soccer went really well. Jimmy is oving it and was so proud. They had to name their team and everyone voted for the team name he picked! The Tornados!

AFterwards we picked up Jim's sister and took her to lunch at Applebees and then to Kohls so she could get an anniversary gift for Jim's parents. Now we ar ein the middle of Halloween decorating.

I figured out what were doing for my birthday. I wanted to go bar hopping, so the night before halloween marc, our friends cynthia, brad and I will go out and have a crazy night. We already have plans to go to someones party that is supposedly crazy and has a costume contest. Then on halloween night well have a party will all of our friends.

We decided that were going to be pirate wenches. And Marc and brad want to be swashbucklers to match. I'm sure it will be fun to run around town as a gaggle of pirates. lol

This is a pattern that I had in my sewing box already. I'll probably shorten it to about knee length to show off my cute pirate boots.

BTW Of course I would love to invite every focker to our wedding, but I may have to start selling tickets for the event.

I got an email from Member services telling me I basically have to wait until Dec. 1st to borrow any points. D'Oh!

Naturally, I had a slight freak-out because ummm... I already bought plane tickets. AND both resorts I selected have ZERO availability on that weekend.

Thanks. We went to see him today and other than not being able to read, he's doing pretty well. unfortunately, he's a teacher so the not being able to read thing - somewhat of a problem. Should come back though!

So who all has seen the Toy Storys this weekend?? Ab and her boyfriend double dated on Friday nite...paid $10 a piece to see them....and then when they got home, Austin said "wow--I remembered that I liked those movies a lot more...." I reminded him that he was probably 8 when he liked them! But I'd like to take BA to see them.

WE just got back from a trip to the ER. Holly had a go cart accident today. She turned to see of someone was going to pass her and ran right into a wall. She has a concussion, a big knot on her head, bit her tongue and slight injury to her left shoulder, right leg, and left foot.

She was with my mom and we beat the ambulance to the ER. We were in and out in less than three hours. However, when we were leaving, the waiting room was full of kids in masks.

I'm gonna have a long night or waking her every hour or so.

I have to go to the grocery store, take some books back to the library, and take Jimmy's Cub Scout uniform to the dry cleaners to have the patches sewn on. Um, yeah..I don't sew!

Oh my goodness! We have a two seater go cart and I worry about this kind of thing all the time. K's not very big on being safe. He's the biggest kid in our family.
