I am so jealous of all of you getting Breaking Dawn tonight! Please don't post any spoilers here though as I can't read it until later in the week! :goodvibes

Welcome back TE! Missed you! :thumbsup2 I used to waitress *way back when* and my single biggest gross out was the lemons they give you with your glass of iced tea or on your plate. We'd keep a bucket filled with soapy/bleach water for cleaning tables. The managers liked us to keep lemon wedges in it so it didn't smell of just bleach when we wiped up. So, we'd clear a table, go grab a wedge from the bowl of lemon wedges and chuck it into the water. I saw ALOT of dirty hands in that bowl. And people never knew. Now, I NEVER get a lemon wedge!

Ewwww.

Jodi: great update. gorgeous daughter!

Going to watch Samantha Brown in China. We're learning for Bob's trip....:sad2:

MEL:banana:

Ed's light is on. Nighty night Ed! Having some wine.....thinking of you!

:thumbsup2

MEL:banana:

Oh I forgot to say this earlier when you were talking about that magi guy from the Mummy movies, he is not in it either, so no hot dude for you guys either. :sad2:

Bonus though, we got to see the Harry Potter and James Bond trailers. :thumbsup2

:confused3
Thought I'd start the day off with a bang! We are hanging out for awhile, then we have tennis lessons. My DH is going camping with my ds (first time EVER in a tent):eek: . Notice~ Jen is NOT and I repeat NOT attending. :scared1: This momma likes her 4 walls and a bed. Plus it's great bonding time for the guys of the house.

My idea of roughing it is a hotel without a pool!

Hey! got back from atlanta late last nite! I am really tired.

Glad you're back, safe and sound.

It was really bad news at the Drs. Pressure is back up to 26, despite having the needling done a week ago. He prescribed some different drops, but since I've done this gauntlet before, I know that the end result will be surgery. He said he'll let me know on Friday (Aug 8) when he sees me if I'm going back under the knife.

MEL:banana:

I hope you had 2 beers! I'm so sorry about the news.

DisMom - Have fun rafting!

Lori - MMMM - Margaritas!

V and T - Great looking kids!

Lessa - I'll jump over to your PTR tonight.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++

DH's turtle ran off today. OK, they don't run, but we couldn't find him after Doug let him out to eat some clover. He's about a foot and half around and 10" high. It's a mexican desert tortoise. Doug thinks he has been turtle -napped. :confused3 Maybe he'll turn up in the yard tomorrow. I gave Doug a hug and said I was sorry. Actually this solves the problem of what to do with him when we die...they live over 100 years.

:yay: By the way, Focker Buds, I do have a PTR going. The link is in my siggie. Just in case you get really bored and run out of stuff to do!(yeah, right) Kat stopped by. Thanks again, Kat!!

Okay- I have a favor to ask of my Fockers...

I'd be honored to take NH for you. ;)

Have a safe trip,CE!

Have fun CE.!

Thanks, ladies!

:rotfl: It's all good CE! ;)

Pshew. You're the "grammar police" voice in my head now. ;)

CE - Glad your enjoying your trip! Have fun this weekend!

Thanks, Lori. You enjoy your aunt's party, and I'm sorry about your trip, but you're being very responsible. :hug:

Hi, Fockers!

Z!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :hug:

And then someone pulled out this photo from his 1st birthday at DLR!

That's adorable, but why is he eating pesto? :rotfl:

Have a great Friday everyone!! :cool2:

Hope you had a good day, Jodi!

I've subbed, Lessa, but I'm not reading TRs on the trip - the "high speed internet" is not so much, if you get my drift. I've got it saved for when I get home. :goodvibes

what's shakin Fockers ??

Hi, Katt! :goodvibes

but now I'm afraid to eat in any restaurants! Some of the stories were horrible!

We had a tree frog in our big bin o'salad once. :rolleyes1

Hi guys. This is a bit of a quickie, sorry. I'm afraid I'm here to ruin our track record for the "much better week than last week."

Mel, I'm so sorry. :hug:

There may or may not be trampolining. ;)

I would hope there would be! :rotfl: Have fun with your friend - that sounds fantastic. :goodvibes

O.k. we are down to one computer for 4 computer loving people and the internet connection has been hit or miss this week.

Hi, Margie!

Almost forgot - pics from horse camp!

Very nice!

Then, we unpacked all of the rest of our boxes. Yup...I"m done...except for a small box of paperwork that I need to go through.

I'm with V, I still have boxes from our last move - 6 1/2 years ago. :eek:

Anyway, we made our way to the Subway station...

I was just at that station last Thursday. It makes me feel close to you! :goodvibes

I'm doing fine, thanks. Waldo not so much. :guilty:

Oh, no. Give him a hug from me.

Hi katt! Glad you're back! I drove from Atlanta yesterday with only 1 gas stop..........and I learned I kinda like listening to a book on tape (Dead to Worse) by MYSELF!

Now, see, with my grandpa's issues, I may be driving home by myself next week. I've known this for a while and I'm really looking forward to my music, etc. (whilst the boys watch DVDs). However, when I mentioned it to D today, he acts like he never heard the possibility (which is just impossible, given the situation) and is all worried about me. I say, WOOHOO, alone time! :rotfl:

~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'd separate this post, but the internet connection is so bad I don't want to wait for it.
The drive down was nice and uneventful, though we had a LOT of traffic after St. Louis (Ozark weekenders?) The boys swam and then we ordered in pizza with my folks and my cousin, her DH, 2 DSs and DNiece who lives with them.
It was after 8:30 and the boys looked exhausted, so I took them back to our room and got them ready for bed. For whatever reason - last weekend in WI was NO problem - they would NOT go to sleep. And unlike WI, we are in a standard hotel room with two beds, no balcony, no loft, no separate living area.
So I hid in the bathroom and read. When I tried to even just sit quietly in the other bed, they kept wanting to talk, so I had to get away.
My mom & dad's room is a floor down, due to being a different "class" of room (one king and a balcony) and though there are a few of my uncle's in-laws next door, no one I know well enough to just duck next door. So the upshot is that I've been sitting alone in a dark room for over 2 hours. Mom was probably scared of waking the boys (with good reason) so I haven't seen her since dinner. There's a nice bar downstairs, but I can't just leave the boys in the room, so... ;)
I have a good book, though - The Spellman Files. And I finally opened up some wine once they DID fall asleep about an hour ago. And I've been reading the pages here. So I'm good. :rotfl:
I think I'm done fighting the slow loading pages, though, so goodnight. The wedding's not until 4:00 tomorrow, so not sure what's up until then. See y'all later!
lol... yeah... we do :sad2: not by my choice... DH will not fly unless it is the only way to get somewhere... which we haven't left the continental US so that hasn't happened so far... and if I want WDW I have to deal witht hat...
How do we make it alive?? Very carefully lol :rotfl: usually we leave just before dark so the kids will "sleep" for the first 8ish hours of the drive... then another 8 on the 2nd evening so really it's only 12 or so hours of awake kids... sometimes less lol... we hope for lots of napping lol
I get the wanting the kids to go to sleep, but how do you keep from falling asleep? :confused3 K could sleep riding a horse, so I'd be on my own overnight! :sad2:
I'd be glad to do Colorado for ya :)
Do you need more than Disney from Florida? :confused3
I would be glad to do Michigan if Mel isn't. I did something like this with the daycare once and the kids loved it. We had gingerbread men that went missing and friends and family mailed post cards stating that they had spotted one and where. We then marked all the locations on a map. One of my kids had grandparents in New Zealand and we got post cards from their as well.
Dawn, I'll do South Carolina if you want.:thumbsup2
I'd love your help! Thank you to all of you! If you'll PM me your e-mail, I'll forward Flat Stanley and my info.
Margie- I'd love to have more than one from MI. I'm sure you'll find different things to tell us about your state.
Angela- Yes! I would love pics of actual Florida stuff or a postcard that isn't related to WDW.
I planned on putting a pin up on the US map and the kids figuring out where Stanley's been. I'll take lots of pictures and chronical the project om my blog. How much fun this is going to be!!!
Jo, Canucks (Lessa's word!) anyone else... I'd love info from your hometowns/countires also. I show the kids the pics you all post from Paris and England and those beautiful tulips. They love it all!
Thank you again for being a part of our homeschooling! :teacher:
Lessa-
Thanks for the info. The city looks nice, but a 45 minute cab ride is a lot! BUMMER! BUT I think his layover is something life 5-6 hours.:scared:
I forgot who asked (janet?)- he is not a hockey fan. Yep shame, a non hockey loving MN family. :duck:
Mel- :hug: You need it tonight!
V- Can I just eat him up? OMG Dolly face baby...errr BIG boy posing with a horsey. "Hey MOMMA...guess what I really want for my birthday??"
Jodi- LOVE the visuals on the mini trippie!
HELP GIRLS!
I am trying to order a few custom outfits for TINK for her big B-day trip! My DH is gonna KILL me, when he sees what I have done... I mean spent.:ssst:
So the one that is killing me is this one:
DSC02046.jpg
DSC02047.jpg
A fellow DIS'r made it for another fellow DIS'r as a give. Since Tink is not too familiar with Alice and wonderland, I asked for another theme. She told me to pick it. What do you think? From the seller emails:
9 appliques, so that is the princess and 8 characters from the movie. For example Ariel the mermaid on the top and then flounder, sabastian, king triton, urselsa, price eric, flotsom and jetsom, ariel with legs in the pink dress and scuttle or you could choose any that you wanted.
We could do Cinderella with her mouse friends and the fairy godmother. We could do snow white with each panel being the dwarfs or a belle, well you get the picture. Or we could do lettering that says princess and have each panel be a different princess.
HELP ME FELLOW MOMMA'S! PLEASE!:flower3:
OK...I'm all for being educational. I'll do NM! Make me flat. :confused3
Great! PM me , baby! :lmao:
HELP GIRLS!
Do you call her Tink because that's her favorite? 'Cause a Tink/Peter Pan outfit would be so cute!
And, this post reminds me that I have a huge pile of Disney clothes I was going to list but I haven't. :sad2: How about this... If anyone wants to see what clothes my kids have worn, but aren't now, for no particular reason (they're 4T and 5T) PM me.
This part of my message will self-destruct in 5, 4, 3... ;)
Lessa-
Thanks for the info. The city looks nice, but a 45 minute cab ride is a lot! BUMMER! BUT I think his layover is something life 5-6 hours.:scared:
Yeah, with such a "short" layover there is not much in the city that he can do, the airport is out in the burbs.
[]Do you call her Tink because that's her favorite? 'Cause a Tink/Peter Pan outfit would be so cute!
She is Tink, cause she is a peanut, naughty and sassy..but cute like Tink.
I didn't think to do a Tink one though... :confused3
I was leaning towards Cinderella with: prince, coach, castle, mice, pumpkin, bibbity bobbity boo
But it could be:
Tink, Petah, ship, hook, help me here...
Hi Mel! Thanks for thinking of me! :hug: I was over at MeMoms TR catching up,:goodvibes
So, I finally found some time tonight and figured I'd try to write a bit more of my American Girl Place trip report.
I love your DD's dress!
DH's turtle ran off today. OK, they don't run, but we couldn't find him after Doug let him out to eat some clover.
Have you found him yet????
So the upshot is that I've been sitting alone in a dark room for over 2 hours.
Well I suppose at least you're getting some quiet time :confused3
Jo, Canucks (Lessa's word!) anyone else... I'd love info from your hometowns/countires also. I show the kids the pics you all post from Paris and England and those beautiful tulips. They love it all!
I was going to say did you want anything from England? I only have a couple of days when I get home before WDW though!
We had a nice meal last night with my Dad, DSis and DBIL, poor David kept getting the mickey taken out of him about my so called affair though :rotfl2:
Today we're meeting up with my Step DSisters and my nephew and hopefully, weather permitting, going to the beach!
