Night all !!

Good night Rosie! :goodvibes

~~~~~~~~~~~~
'K, I think I'm caught up on everywhere but here. We may throw a DVD in, but I'm getting there. :thumbsup2
And as much as I like to read every single thing here, I'm now something like 20 pages behind, so...
Yup, if there is something I really need to know, tell me where to look, otherwise, I'm just starting here. :upsidedow
I can never keep up here. :sad2:
Hope all is well....I'm watching Dane Cook, Vicious Circle. so funny!
I thought for a bit he'd be gone M-Th, and I was excited :rotfl: but now even the one dayer for tomorrow has been scrapped. TOO MUCH TOGETHERNESS!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2:
I am with you on that one! KC is working nights from home all week, then the reg weekend at home shifts. He won't be back in the actual office until next monday!
Considering it took me like 2 hours to catch up on threads because this god forsaken laptop is so slow...it's gonna be a looooong week.
And one of the things busted on the PC is the remote program thing where we can watch our downloads through the xbox or ps3 so I can't watch any of the new stuff!
We are watching all the POTC movies today, since new stuff we can't get to!
Night all, I'm giving up on this laptop for the night.
I can never keep up here. :sad2:
I usually try, but I just read about 10 pages and I'm still just on page 71. I was off on my estimate by 10. Darn. :)
Hi, Cheri - you came by whilst I was behind. :goodvibes
I am with you on that one! KC is working nights from home all week, then the reg weekend at home shifts. He won't be back in the actual office until next monday!
I'm with you, friend. We have been watching all of Arrested Development - D got the DVDs for his birthday. Funny, and good "together" time, but... ;)
Good luck! See you around - the DVD just started!:goodvibes
HI all. Jimmy and I were watching Song of the South and he FINALLY fell asleep.
CE - There's not that much to recap mostly just chit chat....but let's see if I can do this...
Jo visited her inlaws and they want her to give them money:eek:
LL - is ready to give Michael away to the gypsies:hug:
T - has been crazy busy since she is a workign woman now.
Kat - Her friend (L?) moved to Miami so they had a going away party for him.
Lessa - was in Ohio
TE - the puppy is still keeping her awakle at night
Dawn's surgery was a success and she is home now.
Lori's ex is being a stinky cheese head (that is the best I can do on a family board)
Cheri's back:banana:
AMy updated her TR (I haven't read yet):thumbsup2
Mel started her TR:thumbsup2
Mo had a run in with witchy poo and told her off:cool1:
Katt - was sick with strep but is better now.
Ok FOcker's what did I miss?:confused:
Hi all. I did what I swore I wasn't going to do. I went shopping. I needed new sneakers for the trip and that is all I was going to get. Well, Kohl's was having a GREAT sale...$238 later my Nikes are now the most expensive pair of sneakers in history:rotfl2:
:laughing: Glad to hear you got some great deals too!
My DH ( Scott) and I BEGAN the "Atkins" lifestyle back in 2003... UH There is at least One Week here and there:rolleyes1 I NEED CARBS.. more specifically CHOCOLATE. :scared:
In fact I could go Meat free MOST of the time. Give me some Mashed Potato's and a roll or two.. I have a meal.
However.. I am proud to say this morning... that I have lost some weight. 18 pounds to be exact. :yay:
I NEED to have my carbs too. :rotfl: And :thumbsup2 on the weightloss!!
Does he live with you? Personally, having lost my step mum 2.5 years ago to cancer and seeing how my Dad cared for her, I think it's great your Dad is dating again, My Dad is still too upset and angry and I don't think it's doing him any good :sad2:
Actually I live with my dad. Between the divorce and wanting to spend the time with my mom before she passed away the kids and I moved into their house. And yeah, I'm happy that he's dating but it's all just so strange. :hug: to your dad. It's a hard thring to go through no matter what.
And I agree with everyone else that family and money don't mix. But it sounds like you guys have made your descion and know what your going to do.
So, I pulled into the first lot on Main St. Town cops pulled in behind me. Just as I jumped out, he jumped out and said, "You've got a bad flat." GREAT! :sad2: MEL:banana:
Oh now...that does suck Mel!
and sweet tea from Mcd's (that stuff is crack!)
::yes:: Gotta agree with ya there.
CE - There's not that much to recap mostly just chit chat....but let's see if I can do this...
Excellent work! :goodvibes
How cool that V met your mom!
I did see some of Lessa's shopping. My MIL bought me a Dooney & Burke bucket bag back when I was first dating D and I hadn't ever heard of it. :rotfl: I DO still have it. ;)
OK, back to TV. ;)
Hi all. Just watched an old movie with my dh. Notorious with Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman. It was meh....
Just checking in quick before bedtime. Glad to see you CE!
Great recap Janet!
Hi Amy!!! Glad you're back too!! :yay:
MEL:banana:
I started quoting everyone but I can see that you all agree with me not to give them the money :thumbsup2 I spoke to my Dad this morning and we were laughing about it, he said that he wants $400k for his house :rotfl2:
Thanks for checking in on me!
Hi CE :wave2:
I'm going to sit in a chair next to the bed for a nice change... :rotfl:
:rotfl2:
I work the 2 jobe to help out DD and the kids . She is constantly telling me to slow down but I have selective hearing !!:rotfl2:
Rosie you must start slowing down, when are you thinking of retiring? Or is that a naughty word? :rotfl2:
Andy calls me to say his brother needs $1000 asap. Realistically it's ANdy's money. I didn't work, so I told him it was his decision.
OMG as everyone else said money and families well and friends for that matter just don't mix :headache:
Hi ladies I am back. It was a long and for the most part fun weekend. My cousin whom I do love a lot some times gets to me. He likes the world to think he has a perfect family:snooty: and has the kids so intimidated that the daughter does or says anything to stay out of trouble. This always leaves it looking like my dd is the one at fault for anything:mad:
Sounded nice except the niece bit :mad:
Hi everyone!:goodvibes Back from the beach and I have only read this page.
Hi Amy :wave2: How fantastic about Rachel :goodvibes
Worse still, the tire is slashed down the sidewall. Not repairable. And they are $180 a piece.
What a pain!
Last night was our friend Ricky's going away. It was a ton of fun, old friends everywhere and it was a tearful goodbye. We will see him soon but he was very emotional. We got home at like 3am. It was nutso.
Sounds fun!
Anyway, D & I grilled some excellent burgers at 10:00. :lmao:
:rotfl2:
well,I did it.I wrote an update for my trip report.I need to finish it,it feels weird to not complete it.:confused3:
:faint: Just kidding Amy, can't wait to read it :goodvibes
Well we're having our windows fitted, it's July so nice weather yup, errr nope it's chucking it down :headache: Everything's going to get nice and wet!
Ok, now I'm REALLY going to be late for work...:rolleyes1
My DH ( Scott) and I BEGAN the "Atkins" lifestyle back in 2003... UH There is at least One Week here and there I NEED CARBS.. more specifically CHOCOLATE. :scared:
In fact I could go Meat free MOST of the time. Give me some Mashed Potato's and a roll or two.. I have a meal. Scott HAS TO HAVE MEAT.
I don't know much about Atkins, but I know a guy from work was on it and lost close to 100 lbs! What CAN you have on that plan??
When we were firsst married I set some Baked Macroni and cheese down in front of him and sat down to eat... He looked at me and said.. "Where is the rest of the Meal" ? Never had he just had Mac and Cheese it was a "Side dish" .
Mmmmm....I love a good baked mac & cheese for dinner. My mom used to make the greatest. And yes, it was a meal...not a side dish!:thumbsup2
However.. I am proud to say this morning... that I have lost some weight. 18 pounds to be exact. :yay:
WOW! Way to go!! That's awesome!!
I feel better, but I still have a long "weigh" ( way) :rotfl: to go. I'm realistic. I'll NEVER BE TWIGGY again. But this is just unhealthy.. even though I have NO side effects you would would expect to see ( diabeties, High Blood pressure) But I do have joint problems.. especially a "Heel Spur".
I've got high BP...discovered AFTER I'd lost 20 lbs on WW...go figure. And the BP meds make me GAIN weight...I'm hoping it'll get back to normal though...
I really need to live a healthier lifestyle...in just 11 or so short years, Michael will be OUT OF MY HOUSE and I can have my life back!!:banana: J/K...I love my son dearly, and he'll always be welcome to visit...:lmao:
Sorry LL but I just have to laugh as I'm the opposite, I've never driven an automatic
I don't get the attraction...Maybe it's the blonde hair, maybe I have a touch of ADD...there's just too much I'd have to pay attention to. I'm all about dropping in drive and flooring it...
Then again, I don't have much coordination. I couldn't even do a step aerobics class...:sad2:
OMG he didn't!!!!! Did Tony stick up for you?
Hmmm...that's the ONE thing I didn't hear, was Tony sticking up for me...he sounded more like he was placating Michael, trying to reason with him, blah blah blah...
OK personally LL I would make it part of his Birthday present but also he needs to be good for another whole day at least before you set it up!
Well, you'll all be happy to know (Except T!) that the slide remains in the box and unopened. I stuck to my guns. Still thinking of returning it all together. And Tony had a FIT when he found out what it cost!:headache: Now I keep looking at the box and thinking there's Disney money inside of it and that it would be better spent elsewhere...:rolleyes1
Hey LL you haven't wasted the weekend it's the most we've seen of you here for ages
So true, Jo!! Ahhhhh...so nice to be back!!:grouphug:
And Jo...I gotta say (and I'm late responding) but I'd gently tell David's parents that you just don't have the money to buy into their house, thank you anyway for the generous offer, KWIM?
ACK!!! Another one!! LALALALALALALA!!! MUST NOT GO TO KOHL'S!!!
Man this has been a tough weekend for you!! :hug:
So a few weeks ago, I was going to pay off our WDW trip with money I've been socking away. Andy calls me to say his brother needs $1000 asap. Realistically it's ANdy's money. I didn't work, so I told him it was his decision. The brother said he'd pay him back the following week. Well, the following week came and brother only paid part of it back, with a promise to pay the rest in a few days. Yeah, it's been a week and we haven't heard from him. :sad2: I put my foot down and told Andy we are not a bank, we are not lending him money anymore. Perhaps if he put the hemp pipe down, he could get a decent job and support his wife properly. :mad:
Money and family just don't mix. :headache:
Ok, I'm sorry, but anyone who needs to borrow a huge amount of money, saying they'll pay it back in a week, is either: 1) Going to the track; 2) Going to Vegas or 3) Going to see Dr. Feelgood with a plan of cutting it up and selling it and keeping enough for his head...:headache:
Whats The Kingdom Keepers? SOunds up my alley...tell me more!
Ok, Kingdom Keepers, without giving away the story, takes place in WDW...kind of a sci-fi/adventure book I guess. I think it's Ridley Scott that wrote it. And without giving away too much, it's basically about what happens in the park AFTER it closes...
I loved it, couldn't put it down! It's an easy read - think it's meant for teenagers actually - but it sucked me right in. And the part inside IASW is always what I'd imagined could/would happen. That's all I'm gonna say about that!
I say pick it up and read it.
But anyway there's a sequel that's supposed to be coming out this summer..haven't heard anything else yet...
LL - is ready to give Michael away to the gypsies:hug:
True that!!!:headache:
Ok, seriously I REALLY GOTTA GO GET READY FOR WORK!!! :eek:
Later girls!!
Good Monring all. Back to work today and after the last 2 days I was ready to come back. I need a break from home:rolleyes1
I must be really early today if Jo and LL are the only one's who have posted so far.
Have a great day everyone and I will be checking in periodically (Or more often since the boss is out all week:rolleyes1 )
Morning Fockersd! :wave:
Okay, no way I'll be able to catch up on 10 pages! :faint: But looky here - Janet left updates right here on the last page! Tahnks J! :thumbsup2
V -was in the worl this weekend and got to meet my mom:thumbsup2
::yes:: We had a pretty good weekend. But, is it too late to un-invite Gramma from our Dec. trip?! :rotfl:
Now I keep looking at the box and thinking there's Disney money inside of it and that it would be better spent elsewhere...:rolleyes1
Ooo, I like the sounds of that! :thumbsup2
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So, Leo went to his Dad's for two weeks last night, after we got back from WDW. :sad1: I miss him already.

Good morning everybody! Spent most of yesterday visiting with dad. He came down to celebrate his birthday with Alek, Erich and I since we were away last weekend when his birthday actually occurred. It was a pretty good day aside from the typical drama involving mom when dad comes to visit but that blew over quickly. We ate lunch out and then came back to the house and played around on the Wii Fit that my dad gave me yesterday as an early birthday present. I think that is rather funny as we were celebrating his birthday yet I get an early birthday present. :rotfl:

Today is my last day off before I start my string of day shifts at work. I hope to make the most of it since day shifts always leave me so drained (probably because they are sooo boring). :lmao:

CE: We miss you too! Don't worry, Janet and Katt and I will keep up the chit chat so no one gets bored while you're away!
:rotfl2:

Steering felt heavy. :confused3 So, as the light turned green and I turned left onto Main I heard this weird noise. Whappita, Whappita, Whappita. So, I pulled into the first lot on Main St. Town cops pulled in behind me. Just as I jumped out, he jumped out and said, "You've got a bad flat." GREAT! :

MEL:banana:

Uh.. what about the Wheel rim ?? If the sides of the tire were slashed... Your rim may be bent... that will cause you more problems.

HI all. Jimmy and I were watching Song of the South and he FINALLY fell asleep.

:lovestruc LOVE THAT MOVIE.. that was the first movie I EVER saw in the theater as a child.Mom MADE DAD take me and a few others an HOURS DRIVE ( no theaters close to us) to see it.

Katt - was sick with strep but is better now.

Ok FOcker's what did I miss?:confused:
AND I LOST 18 POUNDS :woohoo:

I don't know much about Atkins, but I know a guy from work was on it and lost close to 100 lbs! What CAN you have on that plan??
first 2 weeks as close to JUST MEAT as you can. You can have as MUCH MEAT(protein) as you can stand. The only vegatables you can have are green beans, and salad.. but watch the dressings... some have too much sugar.
The main thing is staying 30 grams of carbs OR LESS a day.
NO Fruits... after two weeks you can have strawberries, blueberries.
NO milk till stage 3 I think... (Been a while)... Then you should drink the Lower carb milk.

It's tough... BUT ONCE you get to maintance... you can splurge occasionally and you can have wheat breads and pasta's everyday.

Main thing is ketting into "Ketosis" in the beginning... that's why almost all protein. That gets ALL the sugars out of your body.. and your body THEN turns to the FAT for energy.

How I am losing the weight now... is cutting back on my carbs but still eating Normally. Also reducing my calories and ... yes... A little exercise thrown around.

Eggs and meat for breakfast.

UGH... when will it end... Scott was trying to clean up the "Main Computer" in the family room and he DESTROYED IT.

LUCKY for that man he had backed up the digital pitures in it ( HE SAYS) to 3 other places. PIctures in there from 2003 .

If he did'nt... he's DEAD MEAT ( in keeping with the "Atkins "speak here)

I don't get the attraction...Maybe it's the blonde hair, maybe I have a touch of ADD...there's just too much I'd have to pay attention to. I'm all about dropping in drive and flooring it...
Don't move here then because around 95% of cars here are manuals :rotfl2:

Ok, Kingdom Keepers, without giving away the story, takes place in WDW...kind of a sci-fi/adventure book I guess. I think it's Ridley Scott that wrote it. And without giving away too much, it's basically about what happens in the park AFTER it closes...
Sounds good, must have a look for it, sounds like a good plane to WDW read :thumbsup2

Good Monring all. Back to work today and after the last 2 days I was ready to come back. I need a break from home:rolleyes1
Sorry Janet :rotfl2:

::yes:: We had a pretty good weekend. But, is it too late to un-invite Gramma from our Dec. trip?! :rotfl:
Uh oh :rotfl2: and for missing Leo :hug:

We ate lunch out and then came back to the house and played around on the Wii Fit that my dad gave me yesterday as an early birthday present. I think that is rather funny as we were celebrating his birthday yet I get an early birthday present. :rotfl:
Is it good?

UGH... when will it end... Scott was trying to clean up the "Main Computer" in the family room and he DESTROYED IT.

Thank goodness they were all backed up :thumbsup2

Well these window men are making so much noise, we keep trying to escape but the weather is just horrid, we went for a drive before stopping at a coffee shop, on the drive we saw a tall truck bash into a railway bridge then whilst we were drinking we saw an old man back his car into another car, eventful morning :rotfl2:

My ME stuff came today :yay:
