Glad to hear that Dawn is doing well. I'm thinking she'll be there about three nights too. My mom stayed three nights a few years ago when she had her surgery. The doctor said that insurance won't pay for more than three nights unless there are additional complications. I had two c-sections and never got the bonus of the morphine pump. I don't know why, but all I got was some vicodin.... not that impressive.

It's been raining all day today, so we've been stuck inside. My DH decided to take a half day since the entire office was gone already, so he just took DD7 to Home Depot with him. We decided to go see Wall-E at 5:20pm tonight!!! A new theatre in the area is doing $5 twilight matinees (between 4-6pm), so we're taking advantage of that! Can't wait to see it!

They're calling for rain around here all day tomorrow too, so I don't know what we're going to be doing. DH is buying some paint for our bonus room (playroom), so that's probably what I'll be doing tomorrow. Guess what color??? That's right... lime green! It's actually not bright lime green, but it's close enough. I'll post pictures after I get it done!

Hope everyone has a great Fourth of July!

Kind of - for one night! But I'll be at the Poly for 2ish hours 10/31. ;)

Well, my all-time favorite music is Tzaichovsky's 1812 Overture, preferably done with real canons and church bells. :cloud9: I make my poor family listen to it in its entirety every 4th.

We'll be at WDW from Oct 18-24, so I guess I'll miss you this time. If you change your mind, let me know!

I love the 1812 Overture too! I still dream of going to Boston on the Fourth of July and watching the Boston Pops do it with fireworks! Oh well, maybe some day....

:yay: Good to here Dawn is doing well:flower3: . I am off now for the weekend. Talk to everyone on Monday. Do we have a Focker secretary that takes minutes for us when someone is away?
Have a happy 4th of July ladies. I need to grab my 11 pack of beer and head to my mom's to pack the car.

No way?! That's my July 4th fantasy! Meet you there someday, k? :goodvibes

Do you watch it on TV every year too? I used to love it when it was on A&E and they broadcasted the entire concert. Now that's it's on network TV, they cut the majority of it. :headache:

~~~~~~~~~~~SHOPPING ALERT, SHOPPING ALERT~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Disney Store has the $4.99 tees for $2.99 RIGHT NOW! I just got back from a mini spree and stocked up on more tees for the kiddos! :thumbsup2
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So glad to hear Dawn is doing well! :goodvibes Gotta love that morphine.

V: Have a great time this weekend! Don't forget to say "hi" to Janets mom for us! Ooh, hope you get a picture!

TE: braces are fine, but really gross. My teeth never feel clean, even with the water pick and electric toothbrush. :confused3

Just in case I don't see you all later, have a great 4th, everyone! :grouphug:

Dawn is out of surgery, and is awake and doing well. She is thoroughly enjoying her Morphine pump. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

SOunds like everything went well. I asked Kirt to keep us updated

Phew...glad to hear it. Especially glad she's enjoying the Morphine:thumbsup2 Yet I'm a little jealous...:rolleyes:

--and as long as she doesn't start playing Jeopardy with the Morphine drip (Not that I know anyone who has ever done this):rolleyes1

I :lmao: when I read this Janet!! :rotfl2:

OMG - what I wouldn't give to be able to get an epidural in a hotel room all by myself...:hippie: My favorite part of childbirth was the drugs...:upsidedow

(In my best Beavis & Butthead voice)..."Try the morphine...it's EXCELLENT today...:laughing:

Sadly, yet not-so-sadly, we have no plans this weekend. BUT I ordered the Banzai Plunge waterslide for Michael and it arrived so I'm looking forward to trying it out...errr...to seeing Michael try it out...this weekend!;)

For those of you going away, have a good time!!

Lori---hope it works out with your kids. Let me know if you need a teenager or a puppy during that time! (he's eating toilet paper right now.....and barking at it. :sad2: )

Hmmmmm...a teenager or a puppy??? I think I'll take the puppy. At least they can't back talk me.

This is so hard. :hug: My idiot ex remarried and never told me! Not that I cared personally, but our 2yo DS was visiting with him every other weekend - you'd think a new wife might be something I should know about! :sad2:

Thanks V! And wow about the ex! How long was it before you found out?

Sort of going through that right now with my ex. We aren't even divorce yet, he's refusing to sign the papers he was served all the way back in November, but is now engaged to the girlfriend. :confused3 I don't get it.

Good luck with everything!!! And since i am all about new recipes- what kind of cupcakes and cheesecake are ya makin'?

Thanks Kat! And the cupcakes and cheesecake are from a box. :laughing: I did take pics though and will post them. I prettied them up at least.

The cheesecake sounds yummy, what flavour? I can't imagine what it must be like to have an ex requesting stuff :hug:

Thanks Jo! And just plain ole cheesecake. I prettied them up by adding cherries to the top.

And yeah...the ex is know as dumba$$ around these part.

Yay! So glad everything went well! :)

Cupcakes and cheesecakes are made. They look yummy but I have yet to taste. Once the kids are in bed I'll get to sit and enjoy my dessert and watch some of my DVR'd shows without interuption and an 'I want some.' :cloud9: DR keeps getting into the cupcakes though. :headache:

BUT I ordered the Banzai Plunge waterslide for Michael and it arrived so I'm looking forward to trying it out...errr...to seeing Michael try it out...this weekend!;)

That sounds like soooooo much fun!!!

I'm sorry Jen. And feeling rather guilty about laughing yesterday. :guilty:

Please...I thought she was a faker too. I"m a bad mommy! :eek:

Yay! Okay, I'm clearly going to need to broach the subject of finding dates on here soon. No joke, I've had NO interested parties in 5 years... what am I doing wrong?!?!?

Honey...you're gorgeous on the inside and the out. There is no reason you shouldn't be out there if you don't want to. Let's see...I have some family in Florida...hmmmmm...do you speak the spanish??? ;)

I'm one of the most patriotic people I know. Which is often surprising to those who know my stand on some major, and minor, issues: I tend toward the left of the political spectrum; I'm staunchly pro-gun control; I'm atheist and a firm supporter of separation of church and state; I think the position of President is merely a figurehead role, and it's unlikely we'll ever get someone who really knows what they're doing in there - ditto for most of congress; I love France; I think we have one of the ugliest flags in the world; I think what we've done to the English language is an abomination; I hate BBQ and am only wishy-washy on apple pie. And I prefer cats to dogs.

Dude...are we twins? (Well, you're way skinnier!)

I think it's wonderful that we can express our views without fear of persecution. That's why I love this country.

And I agree with you...all except for that cat thing. ;)

Hi all, it's Jo in disguise :rotfl2: I'm on the other PC and it's Jess' username and I couldn't be bothered to log out/in!

:wave:

Witchy poo and I fought over the fact that she doesn't pull her weight around here. I told her I am drowning in work and she needs to take at least 1 or 2 of my old clients (I have over 80 that need to be transitioned). She didn't take a stinkin one. :mad: I basically threw my hands up and said FINE! and put my headphones back on to let her know I was done with the conversation. Can't wait to see what she says in my annual review that is due July 24. Don't think I won't make good use of the section call Employee comments. Oh yeah, I will be professional but extremely honest! That's what I like best about our review process the employee always has the last word.:stir:

POke her in the eye and get it over with. ;)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, Kinzee Faith has something called fibrocartilagenous emboli...which is a nerve pain disorder, brought on by immunological suppression. So, her nerves basically send intense feelings of pain over her body.
They are treating her with anti-inflamatories...and hopefully, this will clear up. Otherwise, we have to get a doggy CT scan...can't wait to see how much that will cost!
I'm back in Clovis...and it feels wierd! Not like home anymore already.
I'm going out with friends from my (old) work tonight. So, I won't be posting tonight...as I'm hoping to not be sitting upright! ;)
Everyone...have a wonderful 4th!
I keep forgetting to ask this but I'm having to make two sets of plans for my trip. One with my best friend going with us and one without. Plans will mostly be the same but I'm wanting to change a few ADR's if she doesn't come. How do I go about booking two ADR's but on the same day? Just give my name but with a different phone number? Or a different name and same phone number?
When I did that last year, I used a different name and my cell phone # for 1 set of ressies and my name and home phone for the other. I cancelled the one set once plans were finalized!
Jen: Sorry to hear about Kinzie. Hope she feels better soon. Oh, and since you're probably almost horizontal by now, hope your hangover ain't too bad!
V: The guys at the hostess/host stand when I checked in for my dinner at Artist Point referred to Janet's mom as the "Bingo Queen." Bwahahahaha!
She's got a rep! :thumbsup2
Dinner was good. I was just entering my #'s into the WW software for the day and I almost had a heart attack. My pitiful little 1.5 Belgian Waffles this morning were 16 points!!!!! HOW can THAT be? That's insane. No more waffles for this girl. Dang. :rolleyes1
Tomorrow is the 4th. We are not going to the parade in town, though this is the first time in 13 years that we've missed it. Kids don't want to go. DH isn't interested either. He's painting the bedroom and he's in a bad mood for some reason. Don't have a clue why though. So, I guess I'll write the next update for my TR. Oh, and tomorrow at the park near my house, they are having a craft show. I think I'll walk over there.
What are you guys doing?
MEL:banana:
Hey Mel,
We are having a houseful of people for a BBQ. Not looking forward to it. Too much work and this will be the only day I have off until we go to FLA. :sad2:
Wow Janet! We're not having anyone over at all. Maybe the neighbors for a drink in the gazebo later that night. I think we'll have a cookout NEXT weekend though...
MEL
