Me too - LOTS of gross stuff behind teh scenes...

We'd keep a bucket filled with soapy/bleach water for cleaning tables.

This revolted me. That water was beyond gross - I don't care how much bleach was in it. I flat-out refused to put my hands in there and made my own squirt bottle of bleach water to use on my tables.

Bonus though, we got to see the Harry Potter and James Bond trailers.

YAY!!! Did they say when it'll be out?

I'm waiting around until 10am CST so I can buy tickets to SYTYCD.
Then, I think we're headed to the tiny, carppy mall to get K some new glasses. Then C and I have a birthday party to go to. It's going to be so fun. It's at this place where you decorate pottery. They're having a tea party and decorating a cup and saucer. So cute!!!

I'm not sure after that what's up. K's so tired I think we're not doing much. I REALLY need to find a box spring in this little town I live in or in SA. K's bed was a daybed, so we only have a mattress and a frame. Any ideas on where I can find one cheap? It's not going to be his forever bed, so I don't want to spend too much on it.

Janet ~ Boo hoo on the rain! We have heat excessive today.



My DH is not bringing my son camping because the updated temps are in the 90's with high humidity. I know V- I'm not dealing with what you have too everyday! BUT us Minnesotaner's are used to the COLD -negative- COLD. NOT heat.



So now the whole family is going shopping. My DH decided last night that he is NOT wearing open toe sandal anymore this summer due to he feet looking like monster feet from running. (he is training for a marathon). So he THINKS it would be cool to get a pair of WHITE tennis shoes. Somehow the words TREETORNS came up... what is this the 80's? Apparently they are THE thing in all of his fashion magazines (yes girls...my dh gets crazy mens magazines...I have a true METROSEXUAL living with me).

Is this true? Are they COOL again?


Ohh Dawn, I'll print my Flatty and bring him with.




p.s. One more thing... TINK STORY, that I thought was cute.. a few thing she said yesterday~ I don't have a mom to share this stuff with... so I share with you!

Some background: We live close by one of the largest/most popular lakes in MN. So growing up around here you are very familiar with the lake and being on the lake in boats.

I was doing comparisons with Tink, asking here what things do like a cow does... "MOO's and eats grass". When I came to a fish does... She said "bites your toes and jumps up". Which is totally true. We watch them jump up out of the water all of the time. I remembered the Kindergarten screener told me that a lot of kids get that one wrong on the kindergarten entrance test. Because these kids "see" fish daily. So I guess Tink fits right in with her peers.

Last night we were sitting on our deck eating dinner. I made halibut and we were talking about how yummy it was and mommy is going to GET it more often since the kiddo ate it so well... TINK looked straight at me with a worried face and asked was I going into the POND to get it.


Just felt like sharing. I'm a bit emotional today (thanks to being a woman). Have a great morning friends. I need to get caught up on V's report.

Yeah V... I think I ACTUALLY LOST COLOR this week instead of finding any.
We had some sun 1 morning.. and the rest of the time it rained or was cloudy.
making it worse than in June.

I bought tix yesterday for the boys' third annual trip to the Monster truck show. I give them tix for Christmas each year. Which is how A got so into them and why his room is now monster trucks.

I'm not going to the Monster truck show- just the boys are. It's too loud and not my thing. I always send earphones with A so he doesn't hurt his ears.

The tix are only $11-21 each. Not bad at all...

Monster truck shows are fun!

We have a picture of our DD when she was 7, sitting in the wheel of Grave Digger! She is 15 now... she still likes them. I think it is about time get to another show, its a been a while!!!

Morning, all.

The boys of course woke up at 7:00 - so about 2-3 less hours of sleep than "usual." Woody is already a bear - can't wait to see what he'll be like after the wedding.

I did NOT want to get up at 7:00, but what can you do?

Mom is down at the pool with them now. I forgot to mention that she had a LARGE glass of wine before the pizza. She's a lightweight, so last night my mother was completely tipsy. I like her tipsy, she's fun, but... That was part of the reason I sat alone in a dark hotel room.

She needed it, anyway, what with her parent stuff.

Anyway, the wedding is at 4:00, but my mom needs to be there by 3:20 to do something. Since we drove in my van, I guess we ALL go by then. We think the church is about 30-40 minutes away, but the reception is 5 minutes from this hotel, and they're running a shuttle so no one drives. Mom seems to think that she and dad will take over my room and leave me to "really rest" in theirs. We'll see - by then I may not care! But it IS true that my dad would be very likely ready to leave the reception when it's time for the boys to do so.

Anyway, I'm holed up reading my book - Angela, it is SO funny. But I should probably go see if I can find cousins or whatever. I would love to hang with the bride's brothers, but they were staying at one of the brother's houses and not here, so I have yet to see them. Plus they're probably in the wedding - my cousin has SEVEN bridesmaids.
I'll talk to y'all later, and maybe post a picture of me in my sexy shoes!

I had heard a rumor about that, so I bought the girls' tickets last week! We've got APs from our December trip.
