I'm so excited about the States project and that you girls are willing to help! :banana:
I think I'll e-mail a Flat Stanley to each of you and you can color him any way you like. Then you can send him back with a postcard or whatever you feel like from your state. If you take pictures of him doing things, you can e-mail me with them so you don't have to print them out. Sound good?

Here's who I have down:
RI- Carrie
GA- Amy
MN- Jen
MI & MA- Mel
IN- Jodi

I'll PM you all with my e-mail and address. :goodvibes
I'll do California, Dawn. :teeth:
:thumbsup2 I've subbed.
Hi guys. This is a bit of a quickie, sorry. I'm afraid I'm here to ruin our track record for the "much better week than last week."

It was really bad news at the Drs. Pressure is back up to 26, despite having the needling done a week ago. He prescribed some different drops, but since I've done this gauntlet before, I know that the end result will be surgery. He said he'll let me know on Friday (Aug 8) when he sees me if I'm going back under the knife.

I have been holding back the tears all day. I'm perfectly miserable. SO, forgive me for not getting my update done because I know I'm in no mood. I really appreciate the well wishes and positive vibes. :goodvibes

You guys can't know how much it means to me to have the support. For "Imaginary Computer Friends" you guys are really great.

I'm going to eat pizza and drink a beer. Then my dh is taking me to the car show in town for an ice cream. See you guys later.

MEL:banana:

Oh Mel, that just SUCKS! I'm so sorry. But sending you lots of good mojo in hopes that surgery isn't required. :hug:

I knew you all would love that statement :rotfl2: David phoned last night and said there had been a message for me on the answer phone from our friend Adrian, a while back don't know if you can remember but I was helping him arrange a WDW for him and his 2 kids. His wife left him a few years ago and he's the sweetest guy ever, well he turned up on the doorstep a few times, always when David was at work, the girls were home though. Anyway I did think that maybe he did have a soft spot for me seeing as he always used to go to David for golf lessons and rarely saw me, to suddenly come round several times, anyway the message said something like Hi Jo (not David) sorry I haven't been in touch lately, blah blah blah, no mention of david at all and David said the message was quite creepy and he honestly thought something may be going on :eek: He knows me better than that though but he did think it for a while!

That's it? You don't have anything else to say to us? :rolleyes:

Woody seems to be a little in love with my friend's mom, who is also my mom's best friend, if you follow. He was crying because we dropped her at her house instead of bringing her here to my mom's. :lovestruc So she may come in later for wine and cheese. :rotfl2: He wrote her a note that says "I love you." I don't get these notes... :rotfl:

:flower3: for him to give his new "friend"

BUT the kids misbehaved:headache: , TINK kept running around as we were in line to get our food. I had to keep grabbing her and holding her next to me so she didn't cut people off and make them spill their soup! :headache: That child is faster than a speeding bullet!

After we hit the grocery store and I about had it with the bickering of my children and tried to GIVE THEM AWAY to another mother in the baking aisle.

My mother would have left the store with us and nothing good ever comes of that. :sad2:

Why don't I live in Florida :confused3

Move on down. V may complain, but notice she doesn't live in Buffalo anymore. ;)

Okay- I have a favor to ask of my Fockers...
We will be studying the states soon and I was hoping I could get some help from you all. I thought maybe a postcard with a picture of something important from each state would be fun for the kids to help with their studies. I was thinking of sending a flat stanley to each person who would be interested in helping me and then you could send pics of him (if you go somewhere in your state that would be fun to learn about) and send them to me via e-mail Then you would send a post card back with Stanley to the kids. Would anyone be interested? :goodvibes

Do you need more than Disney from Florida? :confused3

From Leo, too. Who asks that I stop calling him "Leo." :rolleyes:
Still haven't explained it to him, huh? ;)

Last night we sat and reflected on the night Evan was born - he loves to hear that story.

My mother still does this and I'm 38. :rolleyes:

Have a nice date with your DH. :love:

`````````````````````````````````````````````
My sorority sister comes in town this weekend. :cheer2:When asked what she wants to do, "pool,drink,read,sleep." Sounds good to me. :thumbsup2 DH finally comes home Sunday and Monday we are off to Wilderness Lodge for a little relaxation before he goes back to work. There may or may not be trampolining. ;)
O.k. we are down to one computer for 4 computer loving people and the internet connection has been hit or miss this week. I have not had the time to keep up but wanted to come on and give Mel a big hug :hug:. This all sounds so scary to me. I also saw that T made it through the quake. I know I missed a lot but just needed to stop in and at least let you all know I am thinking of you. Every one here is doing fine. It has been a quiet week other than the cut throat fights for computer time. The 4 year olds are quite the computer time scrappers. One usually goes for the ankles while the other jumps on my back :rotfl:. Try to get on again soon but I will be out of town most of the weekend.
I would PM all info so it wouldn't be on the boards, of course. :teacher:
I would be glad to do Michigan if Mel isn't. I did something like this with the daycare once and the kids loved it. We had gingerbread men that went missing and friends and family mailed post cards stating that they had spotted one and where. We then marked all the locations on a map. One of my kids had grandparents in New Zealand and we got post cards from their as well.
You know, I was thinking the same thing about "imaginary internet friends." We really help each other through stuff, don't we? :grouphug:
The conference on Food safety was great--but now I'm afraid to eat in any restaurants! Some of the stories were horrible!
This strikes me as something like a train wreck... I want to know, but I'm terrified of knowing! :scared:
Mel, I'm so sorry. I can't even imagine what you're going through emotionally, but we're absolutely here for you. :hug:
Must...not...get...points:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:
No, I have! He's not impressed. :headache:
Leo riding... I think. First he said it was him, then he said he took a pic of someone else riding. Anyway, it's some kid Leo's size riding. :rolleyes:
Hmmmmmph. Well, at least let me know where you're staying and such...and maybe I can find you a good place for dinner. :headache:
MEL:banana:
Oh Mel! :hug: Things will work out honey.
Have an extra beer tonight...you deserve it.
And we're here for you hon!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Let's see...what did I do today?

I had Kaia again almost all day...so Tera could go to work. Although her fever is down.

Then, we unpacked all of the rest of our boxes. Yup...I"m done...except for a small box of paperwork that I need to go through.

Jon's having a friend spend the night...and I must stay up till midnight to go see if Edward finally bites her!

Any predictions???

I'm really sorry to hear this, Mel. :hug: Hopefully the new drops will work. Otherwise, will it be the same surgery that you had before? And if so, how long ago did you have the first one?

You know, I was thinking the same thing about "imaginary internet friends." We really help each other through stuff, don't we? :grouphug:

First, I have to say THANK YOU! Thank you, to all of you! You guys really make me feel better. I'm still sad, but at least I'm trying to think positive now. I was totally in NEGATIVE mode earlier!:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

So, this is what happened/happens now:
The surgery is just a re-do of the last surgery. Basically they cut a hole in my eye to relieve the pressure, just above the iris in the white part. It's supposed to stay OPEN, but because I'm young (only time I haven't been happy to be young!) it keeps healing. I had the left eye done in emergency surgery in 1999. Gus was only 2. That was really awful. They had to needle that eye three times to get it to STAY. The right eye I had done in 2006. I should have had it done years before but I was scared. Now they've needled this one twice and nothing. SO, he wants to cut a NEW hole in my eye next to the one that's already there! I'm not sure why he thinks this one will work, if the other one didn't. :confused3

It sounds gruesome to me too, by the way. I don't know why this is happening to me. The doctors cannot find any reason either. NO family history at all!

I won't know anything at all until next Friday so I'm going to try to be positive. I will distract myself by finding cool things for Dawn's Flat Stanley to "do" at my house!

Oh, and V and T: Cutest little boys!!! I love them cheeks!:lovestruc

MEL:banana:
I'm NOT getting Breaking Dawn tonight....I will get it tomorrow PLEASE NO SPOILERS!!!! :scared:

:hug: What is in the water that is making everybody have such a lousy time lately. :sad2:

Saw the new Mummy movie tonight.... it was BAD! I think the biggest problem was them trying to replace Rachel Weisz. The movie just wasn't the same without her. :sad2:

:hug: Mel...

Things will work out honey. I just don't want you to hurt. :hug:

That's funny, Lessa. My DH said, "Who's going to see that without Rachel Wiesz??"

I only go see those movies for Oded Ferr. (SP?) He's the insanely hot guy who rides with that group of (Knights?) Da--yum!

I need G-luv to do her rroowww, pssst psst thing for me!!!
